Your videos are one of my highlights of the week. I really appreciate you showing the cracked mirror. It helps me see that everything does not always go perfect when you’re creating . Would love to see another bloopers video one day. You’re so inspirational.
Just as an FYI, I use painter's dropcloths for so many projects. In doing so & wanting to save money, since I have to live on a tight budget, I've shopped around. I've found that Harbor Freight sells them relatively inexpensively. You can catch them on sale or get coupons via email or online that makes them even cheaper. I've painted them for rugs, table cloths, runners & placemats. Used them for curtains, covering cushions & making toss pillow covers. They dye up & paint quite well. I just wash them a few times & only use vinegar to soften them since fabric softners can interfere with paint & dye. I hope this helps all. 😊
@beadavis4526 I toss mine in the dryer since my HOA won't allow me to have a clothesline as much as I'd love one. They do wrinkle a bit, even in the dryer. So, depending on what I am using them for, I may iron out a section at least.
I"m so glad you shared the fact the you broke the mirror. Because I was working on a birthday gift for my husband for the past 4 months, with ordering a map of our area, finding a large enough frame/glass for it and getting that painted and all. Well, I was finally just putting it all together yesterday and when I lifted the glass back into the frame - I broke the glass, cut my hand and bled onto the map I had ordered. His birthday is May 1st! I burst out into tears and it just flattened me. This just reminded me, it happened to us all.
Aww, I’m sorry. That must have been so disappointing! Men are hard to buy for in the first place and you came up with such a thoughtful gift. I hope something works out.
I love your little town, I’m about hour and a half from y’all. One of my favorite places to escape the world. And the little amish thrift store. My all time favorite place to thrift at. I always love your projects their so inspiring
I love your videos. I watch them mostly to relax and tap into my right brained self, especially when I'm stressed. Well done on that tufted cushion. Thank you for showing us how to do it. The double holes in the wood is brilliant.
It was fun to see the "teacups" you chose were ones I had used for years. The green blossom Corelle cups originated in the late 1970's and the blue Currier and Ives came free in a box of detergent. My grandma had them pre-1960's.
I have found Good Will prices to be so high anymore. My husband and I love to take the 2 hour trip from our home in western PA and hit up 7 of your thrift stores! At 65, there's nothing I really need but even if I find one thing it's a win! We stay over at the Berlin Heritage Inn motel...clean, value priced, and serves breakfast . It's our little escape trip❤
When the white dishes first came on the screen, I gasped. Glad you are keeping them!! They are lovely. And the plant stand is super as well!!! TY!!! 🤍🤍🤍🤍
Happy Wednesday Mary! I was relieved when you showed us the white dishes at the end and thrilled that you are keeping them for yourself. As soon as I saw you looking at them in the thrift store I knew they would be perfect for you! Love the transformations today. You are such an inspiration to your followers. Thanks for being so real.
I love your thrift store make over videos, I think they are my favorite. The items you pick always turn out amazing! You are so talented! Thanks for sharing!
Do enjoy your thrift makeover videos. Told my sister in Ohio about your shop in Walnut Creek Antique Mall and she visited and got one of your coffee scented candles, she loves it. Will tell her about the event in Berlin in June. Thankyou for brightening my day! 🤗
I always enjoy your videos, they are so informative. I like the idea that when you have a problem (like the cracked mirror) you show us a way to solve the problem. Thank you.
Your 'plant stand', might be a needlework storage piece without the lid! I remember seeing those in JoAnn's and other needlework shops/catalogs in the late 50's/early 60's! I like it much better white!!!
Wow Mary - those makeovers are wonderful! I don’t think I could pick a favorite, I love them all. The scalloped tray is really beautiful. The white dishes are so pretty. I’m so glad you decided to keep them. Those carrots are darling!
Wow! You're really good at what you do. I have so much junk that i could turn them into little treasures like you just have instead of wasting money on new items ❤
Mary , each project turned out so beautiful ! I’m glad you kept the ironstone ! What a find ! 👏😃 It will be a treasure for you and others will still enjoy . 🌿 You are an inspiration! ❤️
Mary, one of the things I think is magical about your furniture makeovers is that it looks new and old at the same time. Somone like me would look at a piece of your painted furniture and think, "Wow, this looks new.. but it's distressed..." Amazing! 🤩
Thank you Mary it is always a pleasure watching you craft. When I saw the Ironstone my jaw dropped. I wish someday to find a few pieces. You always come up with a solution for every little hick up, never slows you down. Everything turned out so beautiful as always. I have been watching your channel for years and like some others always look forward to Wednesdays. God Bless you and yours, Rebekah
Mary, always a pleasure to watch your videos, you brighten my day! Love the planter! The sconce is beautiful, especially as a plant holder! Love how the bench turned out, gorgeous! The tray is stunning! Love the blue and white!❤️❤️
I love these videos when you thrift a few items and make them your own. All the pieces are beautiful. I thought you may have been a little disappointed when the glass broke in the wall hanging mirror piece, but I love what you did with it. Using it for a small plant holder was an amazing idea. Also, the metal tray with the blue transfer looks beautiful. Such a contrast with the two colors. God Bless you and your family.
O My Goodness!!! Mary! you need a designated "CRAFT ROOM"!! With the amount of wonderful projects you make it would be so worth it. Love your channel....
Hello from my homestead in northwest Florida. Such a fun video, thank you. I had never thought to do that with the three legged plant stand, I have one handed down from my mama, I didn't know it was a plant stand, she used to have yarn in hers.
You amaze me when you craft. I would have had paint all over me, broken all of my fingernails, and had an enormous mess to clean up! Thanks for the great projects. Blessings
Everything turned out beautiful as always. Ordered two of the Mother’s Day crate bundles. Can’t wait to get them and give them to our mothers. I bet they will love them.
Wonderful video! Very relaxing! Visited your area & booth at Walnut Creek Antique Mall this past Saturday. It was a gorgeous (windy) Spring day-we had a wonderful time
I found a similar bench that I wanted to tuft to resell not long ago. It took me a bit of thinking to come up with a way to tuft it & attach the wood. I guess you could say I cheated. First I made a snug fitting envelope cover for the foam & fiberfill. Then I put enough of my cover fabric over that to be able to attach it to the wood. I was able to tuft through that cover fabric & the the envelope cover & tie it off at the bottom. And lastly I was able to pull the excess cover fabric & staple it to the wood. It worked which even amazed me. 😂
Hi Mary, here from Davison Michigan. Just an FYI, Anytime you have wood that's an orange or yellow tone, prime with either a white primer for wood, like cabinet paint, or a light Grey. Or,, always spray the piece with 2 coats of Shillac. That will stop bleed through. As always, I love your ideas! Fabulous ideas! Thank you for all your videos! God Bless you and your family!!
May be my favorite video ever and I’ve been watching you for years! Love the way these projects turned out! The wall sconce is perfectly beautiful and the stool adds so much to your room! These have the perfect cottage look! ❣️
Mary, Love watching to see what you are going to do with your Thrift Store makeovers, everything was beautiful!! You are such a blessing to me! Have a Blessed Day!!
I really liked the planter stand. Wasn't this used to hold women's yarn when knitting or crocheting? I would live to have one of these...I'm going to be on the lookout. Would be easy to make one as well. Thanks for sharing
I had a funny feeling that those white pitchers, sugar bowls were Ironstone n sure enough they were. I collect Ironstone. I’m so happy Mary that you decided to keep them, they’re beautiful. Your little bench turned out so nice. Especially adding the buttons. It can be a little frustrating getting the tread through the wholes but that bench needed it. It’s perfect at the end of your bed. Also your hanging mirror/candle holder looks far better than before. I like it without the mirror. It’s so sweet looking n you made it to be a plant holder or candle holder. All your projects were great n as always you have good taste. ♥️♥️😊👍👍👍🌟 PS. May I ask where you got the rolling casters you put on your plant stand. I love the idea of adding them. 🥰
Your creativity is so inspiring! Thank you for sharing your ideas with us. We just bought an old house and are renovating it. I’m so inspired to buy furniture off of Facebook marketplace and fix it up!
I love how beautifully you remake and repurpose items. You are so very inspiring! Nice work, as always! I'd love to take a trip out to your town, the craft show sounds great! ❤
Love it! All four projects turned out great! The cracked mirror "save" with the transfer really warmed my heart. ❤ It's why we do what we do. Thank you, you're amazing! ❤
, I enjoyed your video so much! You certainly inspire us to look for the most random things to repurpose! Everything turned out beautifully. I always look forward to your videos each week. They are my favorite!❤
I love your channel. The tufted bench is so great. Thanks for sharing how you did the tufting. I have some legs I want to make a bench out of. I just need to find the right piece of wood. Thanks, Mary.
Those Meakin ironstone pieces are a great find. Your bench turned out wonderful. The plant basket has my heart. Love the wheels. I watch another youtuber, and she always sprays items with Shellac, so she has no bleeding through. Just thought I would mention it. Thanks Mary!
11:21 “I have no idea what I’m doing” then proceeds to create something beautiful! That’s Mary! I want to say that I’m really enjoying the new background music you’ve used in the last couple of videos. Very soothing.
All are beautiful. Very nice work and creativity! I love the tray with blue transfer. Great find with those white dishes. The label on the bottom of the pieces are even beautiful
You found an an amazing treasure with your Iron stone. If you spray the planter with shellac before painting you may not have the bleed through. Love your ideas and how you just "wing it"!
Hi Mary yet again you transformed everything beautifully love them all but the plant stand on casters is probably my favourite also i actually preferred the decal on the wall sconce instead of the mirror in there so you rescued that perfectly always look forward to your videos especially your thrift/diy makeovers look forward to the next one.

Honestly Mary, the little candle wall sconce turned out so sweet. I think it’s prettier than the original mirrored style. 🩷
I totally agree with you! Mary, you have turned it into a beautiful unique piece ❤
When the white dishes first came on the screen, I gasped. Glad you are keeping them!! They are lovely. And the plant stand is super as well!!! TY!!! 🤍🤍🤍🤍

Mary, I so appreciate you! Your creative talents never disappoint and are always inspiring. Thank you, Mary!
Meakin was made near to where I live in Stoke-on- Trent Staffordshire England.
Me too! I live in Trentham. Xx
That three legged plant stand is an old sewing basket, it used to have a lid. My Mom had one in the 60's.
Yes! I totally remember that now, wow!
I found one at my goodwill. Still not sure what I'll do with it. Yours turned out great, Mary.
Wow! You're really good at what you do. I have so much junk that i could turn them into little treasures like you just have instead of wasting money on new items ❤
two holes on the back of the bench seat! Smart woman! :)
So schön ,ich habe viel gelernt von Dir....Dankeschön

My grandma (I’m 72) had a bucket on legs like this. She stored her yarn in it.
I love these videos when you thrift a few items and make them your own. All the pieces are beautiful. O My Goodness!!! Mary! you need a designated "CRAFT ROOM"!! With the amount of wonderful projects you make it would be so worth it. Love your channel....
It's amazing how you can take an item someone basically got rid of and then turned it into something beautiful.

The round wood bucket with legs was a sewing basket.
That basket would be good for someone who sews or knits
I'm glad you put those beautiful white scalloped pitchers in your cart at the thrift store. I would have done the same thing, LOL.

My mother had that "plant stand". She used it as a sewing box but it also had a cute colonial top to it. You have some really nice ideas!
Would love some different coffee latte flavors scents added to your candle and wax melts line in your Esty shop. 🫶❤🌅❤️🫶
I knew it, my dearest Mary, you’d keep those ironstone. They are gorgeous. Can accent beautifully as you change holiday decor in cottages.

You have such wonderful thrift stores! The “plant stand” you did brought back memories. When I was about ten years old my dad sold a house to a young family. They furnished their home with brand new “Early American” furniture, including a similar plant stand. That was in the late 1950s. So, your plant stand could have come from that era.❤
