14:38 literally every polish person said the same thing, but our national TV did her dirty and chose Rafał internally, without even asking the public about their opinion, and she did want to compete in 2021

2016 got 7 points from jury and 222 points from tele vote so that is why it got only 8th..

For many of the contests we have chosen underwhelming tracks. Plus we are not well liked, especially by juries (like Germany etc.) so stars would really need to align for us to ever win. In addition we aren't part of any voting block. We aren't in Scandinavia, former Yougoslavia. We are also outside of the Eastern European Russian speaking circle.where not only countries vote for each other but pop stars circulate between these countries. We are kind of on our own. We would need to come up with something with an absolute wow factor.

A few small clarifications:
2003: The name of the song is “without borders” in Polish and German, and it has a political connotation of finally healing the wounds after the World War 2 and Europe finally uniting. Poland officially entered European Union the year after that (2004). It was a time of hope in Europe.
2014: My Slowianie - We Are Slavs: the girls washing the laundry and making butter in a very suggestive way is ironic/jokey, due to Slavic women often being hyper-sexualized in the media and in general.
