I NEED an album from these two. I NEED them to record these hauntingly beautiful songs. The world needs more of them. Their voices are just perfection. Heck everything they do and everything instrument they play has me totally immersed in the music.
I can't understand a single word in Gaelic, but for some reason I'm absolutely sure that they sing not about sex, money or fame, therefore they win my sympathy straightway! Greetings and respect from Russia!
What Séamus & Caoimhe Ui Fhlatharta are doing for Ireland is important, extremely important, for the whole world at this time of cultural vandalism. You've earned a subscriber!
You feel it, when you sing it, Seamus, and we feel it when we listen. I can hear / feel so many things - a bagpipes drone, a grieving mother’s Keening, Gregorian chant, the feeling I had standing in the 9th century chapel at Cashel. Somebody needs to show all these comments to a Producer. Glen Hansard needs to introduce you to his label exec. We need an Album from you two. Your music is a balm.
I wish Séamus made more music, & sing those Gaelic songs of old too. We need Music videos etc. It would be amazing. He's got such a Beautiful & talented voice.
Wow! Thanks to McNeelamusic for just sending me this link. Rich, complex and haunting... delightful to discover these talented young siblings and sean nos singing in general.
well, that was a lovely way to start the morning. anyone have a translation of the lyrics. though I don't need them to enjoy the music, I am kinda curious to know what they are singing
Caoineadh na dTrí Muire translates to the Keening (a sort of lament) of the Three Marys, Caoineadh na bPáiste translates to the Keening of the Passion (or Easter). It's written from the perspective of Mary mother of Jesus, keening and lamenting and watching on as her son is crucified. Any chance you might stop rabbiting on before every song ....... Btw you're not the first "generation" haha to add harmonies to Irish music- get over yourselves:).........yawn

Is there a way to watch with the lyrics shown in English subtitles? Better way to learn Irish than in a classroom.
Could someone please tell me how to pronounce their names please?
Shae-mus and Kwee-va
