I bought a 7 string acoustic from them a couple of years ago. Easily the highest quality guitar that I own. They now have a program that allows you to customize the model you want and see it in 3D before you order. Very customer service oriented company. They even gave me a discount because I had a DNA test that revealed 15% Irish ☘️! The Virtuo seems to be the Swiss Army Knife of guitars! Thanks for posting
Saw an ad for these the other day; wondered how they sounded & played. I’m not the target market for it but I love seeing companies do something new & different. And of course you wrote a killer piece & crafted excellent tones for it Pete. I’ve got to say you & Tim Pierce keep motivating me to push my playing & sound & not settle/get complacent.
Exceptional video on an amazing guitar. I now have 4 Emeralds. Amicus, X7, X20 and an octave mandolin Alistair Hay built for me during the lockdown. All great sounding. The Virtuo will be my next.
Great job, Pete! Sweet composition with tasty chord changes, melody and leads mixed perfectly. The Emerald Virtuo seems to keep you from having to pick up 4 or 5 or more instruments during the recording process. I just ordered one and will be eagerly awaiting delivery in a couple of months! I love the idea that the composite material won't cause any tuning issues in the heat or cold, as well! Plus it's light as a feather, from what I understand. Big plus for older players not wanting to carry a heavy guitar for 3 or more hours.
Very cool sounds. I was particlularly impressed with the acoustic type sounds from the piezo. VERY useful I think. The Fluence pups sounds nice too, and you're right, I could hear Alex Lifeson going to town on this thing too combining the two!
I really dig the tone of the pickups with the piezo. Reminded me of Steve Morse’s tone on tracks from High Tension Wires album. Also, what a great demo. I love that we got to hear the isolated tracks with the settings scrolling across the screen.
Got an X20 acoustic from Alistair & co at Emerald a buncha years ago and adore it to pieces. Saw them release this and JUMPED - waiting for mine to come outta production - can't wait, especially after seeing this video! Gotta make sure I have my Roland/BOSS ordered too... :)
I’m very interested in one of these, but I foresee a problem already; the individual piezos. Remember the Parker Fly guitars.? They had individual piezos and one was always going out.
Strange kind of guitar, but sounds like it would be best suited for progressive jazz or fusion styles of music as opposed to more aggressive guitar/synth tones. I'm going to go to their website and see what other types of instruments they make. I like the idea of composite instruments just because they are unaffected by changes in humidity. Thanks for posting!
On stage, I have been playing either aluminum necks or graphite necks since 1982. They do remain very stable. Composite guitars hold up well in a cover band club gig. Very resistant to damage from drunk audience people and very good for self defense against those drunks.
Pete, it really sounds Kool, my youngest sons would like me to get one for Anime & Vid Games that they work on, Will work, write & or animate after College or sooner!!0 Not 4everyone but I'd buy one to just try to come up with music 4 their stuff, thanks for letting us in on New Kool Gear,,
I've never been a fan of these hybrid style guitars but each to their own. However, I do own an Emerald X7 acoustic which is ridiculously good. It's the guitar I always pick up first, ahead of my Martin's and Nationals. Great company
You Need That!!! Very Nice VOICINGS To Work with. I could see you with a MIDI Harp Guitar of their' s, as well. Have you ever Listened to Pat Metheny Group TRAVELS? The Live Album. If Not, consider it A MUST. I saw them in Atlanta, Fox Theatre - FIRST CIRCLE, Tour, and Later years, at House Of Blues, Atlanta.
Another great video! I'd have to take a hard pass at that price point plus the overall sound is just compromised thanks to the jack of all trades approach. I recently heard one being used at a local outdoor fest and the acoustic tone was not impressive.

When you have a great guitarist and a great guitar together, all you have is greatness.
Exceptional video on an amazing guitar. I now have 4 Emeralds. Amicus, X7, X20 and an octave mandolin Alistair Hay built for me during the lockdown. All great sounding. The Virtuo will be my next.
Great collection!! I’m leaning towards an Amicus. What string set do you put on it and how well does it stay in tune?
Wow! That's so awesome! 😎
Hello from England, I have this Virtuo guitar. The build quality is top end, and the sounds are really good. It is a definite keeper, I love it.
I have their previous hybrid model which i closer to an acoustic, absolutely love it, it's a dream to play and looks fantastic

I just ordered one too and will be eagerly awaiting delivery in a couple of months as you did ! 😉
Do you like it ???
Very interesting- another useful tool in a guitarist’s toolbox. Like your composition very much!
Absolutely brilliant!
More gear for my Christmas List!
Thanks Pete!
Great sounding Guitar. Thanks Pete!
Just got my Virtuo, and I love it.
Very cool sounds. I was particlularly impressed with the acoustic type sounds from the piezo. VERY useful I think. The Fluence pups sounds nice too, and you're right, I could hear Alex Lifeson going to town on this thing too combining the two!
Brilliant find! Thanks Pete.

My favorite "tonewoods" are graphite composite and aluminum.
Amazing track! Very good display of the instrument's capabilities.
Sounds epic. Love it, and great playing, Pete.

What does it sound like as an acoustic in the room? Does it sound good for just playing
0:24 - 0:27
Take my damn Like and get outta here you madman! That lick was tastier than Thanksgiving gravy.
Seems your chops have gotten even better. Great playing brother.
Beautiful song
Beautiful guitar nice sound, Thank you for sharing.
As much as I have to have this guitar I have to admit you deserve it more 🎼🎸🎶
Happy Thanksgiving Pete you musical bad ass!

Interesting hybrid.
But like all instruments, you make it sound great.
It does seem to have a bit of versatility.
Thanks for another great video Sir!
Big Wreck Speedy Recovery vibes, cool!

amazing playing as usual, great review but how it sound unplug?
Sounds nice
Tri-Stereo-Chorus? The old one from Fulltone?
Sounds great that's for sure, whichever one it is!
Can you explain to me how you do you dubbing? I don’t see you wear any headset or pods or something.
Really enjoyed that intro tune, Pete - would love to hear an extended version of it at some point :)
I have 2-X20's 6 strings and 1-20 12 string.
Was this endorsed by Emerald?
Killer axe! 👍🏻🎸🤘🏻
I WANT ONE EVEN I DONT PLAY ANYMORE :D WAITING FOR DISCOUNT ONE REALLY LOVE THE JUMBO THU JUST HARD TO HESITATE

Like this guitar. Scared to check the price.
Pricey, for sure. But definitely check out the link because they have some stunning designs.
I like the drum track in this intro song. Makes me think of Playstation 1 games.
I was waiting for Pete to say he did the drums with this guitar 🤣
Orders from the Top
No more haircuts 🖖🏻
You first!
Steve Stevens would probably love this.
My Emerald X30 prompted me to sell my $6500 custom acoustic. Go figure.
Hey Tom love your paying ''Com---Pos---Its
No Trem?
But not unlike the Godin LGXT and it's ilk.
Early 2000s Mayer vibes. 😂

very interesting - eat that fender
Weight: 3lbs WOW - Hoping that one day guitar builders discover 48 volt phantom power and stop using batteries
Like a PARKER but not as FLY…
