A true peace comes from a content heart. Happiness is momentary. I also find that being attached to old happenings does not mean much. It distracts from being here now. Past and future both lead us away from our actual being. There are practical reasons for both, but the importance is minor.

Thats exactly what I did few days ago. I choose a theme for 2023. And that theme is: JOY 🙂 Joy creates more heart coherence, just like love does. In the absence of love I decided to create more joy. Will be getting a dog and spending more time doing what I love 🙂 2022 was a year of HEALING for me.

Okay, I've been binge watching your channel and I love your content! After watching this one I went to go journal and name the past decade of my life. It was enlightening and I got to categorize the things I've experienced year by year instead of having this one huge clump of events in my head. I named things that happened within each year and there's a lot of positive as well as negative things. I might go back and add some stuff to the last three years because my hand was already tired from writing. I've already named my upcoming year and I finally feel like I have a sense of direction. Maybe not 100% clarity but direction for sure. Thank you for this ✨️
I have had the same discovery - when you name prior quality/theme of year - you go there. This year it was for me full of beauty but exhausted - because I don't decide what about I want to be. Year ago it was divinity & it was - full of miracles, transformation & love.💞

I have been in the health sector for 20 years and qualified as a nurse in 2011, however, I had become lost within my career and whilst focusing on others. So I have decided to retire from my career and to live simply and slowly (Thank you for your videos which have helped me so much) and to use 2023 to find myself, new year, new mindset, new lifestyle. I love this approach to putting every year into a mindset. It's not trying to control how things will turn out, cause we can't, but we can definitely change how we react to all the challenges. I'm going to go back and try to apply this to my past. I'm a survivor of residential school here in canada and an ongoing dismissal of our culture and bieng by the Canadian government its been a very traumatic experience but I've always tried to be positive. I feel like my early 20's were about confusion, trail, and transition in the early 2010's. For example, getting rid of toxic relationships, achieving goals, and trying things I would normally never do. Mid 2010's was turmoil and identity crisis because my lifestyle changed, seeing friends less,because they were starting to have their own lives and who, I wanted to be as a person. 2020 felt like, the reset year certain behaviours and habits were not working any longer so, I had to think about what I really wanted. 2021 was of grief loosing my grandfather. 2022 was about health and healing by eating healthier, dealing with current health issues and taking them seriously, and going through bereavement by taking certain course. 2023. I feel it is still going to be about healing but getting my life back closer to what it was before the pandemic.
I've written a blog since 2014 and I must admit it is a great way of reminding myself what happened, what I was thinking and how I was feeling. It is a great reference point for me.

5:05 Can you explain what you mean by 'the universe'? You say you believe there is a plan, where does that plan come from? Who wrote the plan? I understand the feeling but never the logic behind it. Either it is true and there is some personal-plan-generator or there isn't and you have to do it yourself right? I really like the idea of giving each year a theme. I've done this before for the coming year, but it does make sense to still rewrite the theme when the year is done.
Big questions my friend 🌱 Who/what is behind the evolution? Why are we here in the first place? A lot of questions that are hard to answer. I'm not a religious person but a spiritual one. I believe I'm here for a reason, and can feel it when I'm on the right plan. But to answer who is behind this plan, I can't give you the right answer. I like to call my view of the higher power as "universe" as growing up in a christian society, the word "god" got another meaning and it doesn't mean much to me anymore
@@SunnyKindJourney yeah, the questions become big very quickly. From 'why work today' to 'why are we here'. I agree with your intuition, although I'm less agnostic about the specifics. I also think there is a purpose to the universe, but I think that it was given to it. The universe couldn't create itself, it must have started for some reason by someone. You can see the beauty of that first creative mind in all the beauty of nature. Unfortunately a lot of corruption and decay has been introduced since. Your videos feel like an ode to that beauty of nature.
When did you transition from naming the year after you'd already experienced it, to naming the year as you are going into it? It might be interesting for you to name the year in the beginning and then re-name the year in reflection at the end.
What part of Italy are you from if you don't mind me asking? My grandfather was from Valvazone but apparently, I have relatives all over Italy I never met. My grandfather on my mom's side was from the north. My grandma on my dad's side her dad was from central Italy Naples but her my grandma's mother was from Sicily southern Italy. I am slightly tempted to learn Italian but maybe not for a while it is hard enough with two languages. My grandfather tried to teach me Italian when I was younger but I didn't take it seriously enough. Also, I was kind of scared of him as a kid but he mellowed out during my pre-teen years. Furthermore, it was not like I could say, oh yeah every few summers I would go to Italy to meet my extended family. There is a bit of a connection but not much.And technically, my grandfather spoke 3 mother/home languages. He said, he spoke Frullian, Italian, and Spanish. His mother was Spanish.

Well, than you are probably the first Finn I have ever seen with brown eyes lol. Russian is pretty hard but I have been learning since high school off and on. I went back to Swedish after getting in contact with a online Swedish friend.

5:05 Can you explain what you mean by 'the universe'? You say you believe there is a plan, where does that plan come from? Who wrote the plan? I understand the feeling but never the logic behind it. Either it is true and there is some personal-plan-generator or there isn't and you have to do it yourself right?
I really like the idea of giving each year a theme. I've done this before for the coming year, but it does make sense to still rewrite the theme when the year is done.
Big questions my friend 🌱 Who/what is behind the evolution? Why are we here in the first place? A lot of questions that are hard to answer. I'm not a religious person but a spiritual one. I believe I'm here for a reason, and can feel it when I'm on the right plan. But to answer who is behind this plan, I can't give you the right answer. I like to call my view of the higher power as "universe" as growing up in a christian society, the word "god" got another meaning and it doesn't mean much to me anymore
@@SunnyKindJourney yeah, the questions become big very quickly. From 'why work today' to 'why are we here'. I agree with your intuition, although I'm less agnostic about the specifics. I also think there is a purpose to the universe, but I think that it was given to it. The universe couldn't create itself, it must have started for some reason by someone. You can see the beauty of that first creative mind in all the beauty of nature. Unfortunately a lot of corruption and decay has been introduced since. Your videos feel like an ode to that beauty of nature.

When did you transition from naming the year after you'd already experienced it, to naming the year as you are going into it? It might be interesting for you to name the year in the beginning and then re-name the year in reflection at the end.

What part of Italy are you from if you don't mind me asking? My grandfather was from Valvazone but apparently, I have relatives all over Italy I never met. My grandfather on my mom's side was from the north. My grandma on my dad's side her dad was from central Italy Naples but her my grandma's mother was from Sicily southern Italy.
I am slightly tempted to learn Italian but maybe not for a while it is hard enough with two languages. My grandfather tried to teach me Italian when I was younger but I didn't take it seriously enough. Also, I was kind of scared of him as a kid but he mellowed out during my pre-teen years. Furthermore, it was not like I could say, oh yeah every few summers I would go to Italy to meet my extended family. There is a bit of a connection but not much.And technically, my grandfather spoke 3 mother/home languages. He said, he spoke Frullian, Italian, and Spanish. His mother was Spanish.
I'm Finnish, my partner is from Sicily. And yeah Italian is so cool language I suggest to at least try when you have time 🙌🏼🤗
