Duel jumpers are the worst. It's a real "take my ball and go home" attitude in that while they're "technically" playing by the rules of the game, it's a very "play my way or I make sure nobody has fun" attitude. Before the WvW restructuring, there was a Warrior on my server who would always jump duels and curse you out if you asked him not to.
I can get some of them under certain scenarios, or if they are really new... but the moment you think, hey i see few ppl here having duels and practice, NAH. Not on my watch... I usually try to take revenge and so far i have taken it xD Sounds like the warrior guy in your server has multiplied and invaded some others xD

Are you swapping pets while melded with them? If so how do you do it? (Only tested SB once in pvp area on dummy)

Yeah. It's kinda a recent change. Happened a few months ago. It's really nice.. It allows for more plays. :)
