    I think the Cardinals had a pretty good draft. JJ Wetherholt just feel right in their laps. They did not have a 2nd round pick, but I heard a lot of good things from their 3rd round pick, Brian Holiday. They also love to draft players from the state of Oklahoma, where I think Helsley helps them with some of the scouting.

      Really loved the Wetherholt pick. Holiday is a floor guy for the most part. Seems to be right up the alley of how the Cardinals draft pitching.

    Cleveland did exactly as i thought. Primarily pitching and hopefully fixing the issue in the middle infield

    I just hope Chicago White Sox players that got drafted work. Also hope we get some good bats in the trades we believe we will be doing. This rebuild better work.

      Ur 14th round pick is really good. I know him personally, he’s a beast and will do great.

    Cam is the late Ken Caminiti's cousin . He wears 11 in Ken's honor. I'm excited the Braves selected him. I think he'll be something special.

    I’m happy that Montgomery is a switch hitter, we need both lefty and righty

    4:49 will be interesting to see how he'll manage being the captain of the flying dutchman and playing minor league baseball

    You talked about Sean Keys lacking power. I’m not sure what pipeline is seeing that gave him a 45 grade but by percentile rankings he was a well above average hitter for exit velocity both on average and max in college this year. He ranked in the 90s percentiles in both

    • @rhyde
      @rhyde  5 місяців тому

      That’s moreso raw power. Using it consistently to all fields is actual power.

    • @ian3740
      @ian3740 5 місяців тому

      @@rhyde yeah but his average exit velo was 92.6 mph and in the 93rd percentile of college hitters. Its not Charlie Condon or anything but I think pipeline is just crushing him because of the lack of competition at a small school more than his actual in game results

    My school played Conrad two years ago in playoffs and I'm happy to see a Georgia boy get drafted

      Love these comments! Based off what you saw, do you think there’s a chance he’s can be a TWP, or sticks to just one?

    Pirates got the highest ceiling in the draft with Konnor Griffin. The day of, I was hoping we’d take Braden Montgomery, but the more I see about Griffin, I’m extremely happy

    • @rhyde
      @rhyde  5 місяців тому +2

      Big ceiling for them! Griffin of course, Sterling on an underslot most likely, and then Sanford probably overslot. Couple of high floor pitchers with room for improvement with Hartle and Ager. Solid!

    There were some articles saying the Astros would take Walker Janek, but apparently they were surprised he fell to them.

    Man call me bias but I thought the Rangers actually were winners especially with their top 3 picks and the top 10 has some intrigue for sure. Getting A talented catching prospect in the system that has no talent there is huge. Getting this years Langford in terms of CWS performance in Dreiling was also a huge get in round 2 and then Cook in round 3 really brought some juice to a farm that has been lacking in the hitting department (thanks to Carter and Langford graduating).

    I think the As had a good draft too getting Nick Kurtz Tommy White and Gage Jump with their top 3 picks that’s not bad not saying they should’ve been in the video but I liked their class

    • @rhyde
      @rhyde  5 місяців тому

      Sneaky good pick with Gage Jump! Love Kurtz and White there too. I honestly could have put so many, but it would have made the video an hour long 😂

    Angels had a very good draft it should be on here

      Agreed I thought they did well. Saved a bunch to get some high upside guys in the late rounds

    • @rhyde

      I liked the players they picked, but I’m worried about them being rushed up. Love CMo. I think he’ll be fine regardless, but I wonder about the pitchers. Wasn’t a fan of Cortez in the 2nd round as he has a lot of reliever risk. I do like the funkiness of Ryan Johnson, has good stuff, but I hope the Angels give him good development time. I do really like Prager as well, but again, I just hope he’s given some time. I do like some of the later picks, but I wonder if they’ll end up going to college.

    • @Cmass9
      @Cmass9 5 місяців тому

      @@rhyde I think without Ohtani they will be a little less likely to rush guys. You won’t see CMo in the big this year like Schanuel. Also, I think they’re going to have Cortez start vs relieve which should make the pick more valuable. Also a sign that they aren’t going to rush him

    • @rhyde
      @rhyde  5 місяців тому +1

      @@Cmass9I personally don’t think Ohtani being there makes a difference. When they called up Schnauel last year, it wasn’t really to help the team because they were out of it by that point. I’m not saying these guys are going to get called up the same speed as Schanuel did, but they have a tendency to call these guys up sooner rather than later.
