Fascinating system indeed! Thanks, Lee and Ben! 😃 It's a pretty expensive system, but it has a LOT on its favor! Anyway, stay safe there with your families! 🖖😊
IMHO not worth it, the transmitter is not very comfortable to hold and it doesn't have any way to attach a neck strap or harness. It is rather hard to do any meaningful configuration of the UAV without resting the transmitter on something.
A nice bit of technology well done ! Beyond the pocketbook of an old retiree, but that's life. Spent years trying to buy a jaguar. After many years the one from my boyhood dreams came up on sale .as a boy it was 4700 dollars. With 60,000 in savings I thought I'd give it a try, minimum bid 125,000 ....dang. had to settle for a used Stype, pleasureto drive, morevelectrical problems than one could count, who taught the bits to wire things ....answer nobody. Buried deep the faulty connector was found why such a major connection was buried. Fault corrected car sold broke even .once restored an MG same problems wiring, americanized wiring, and bobs your uncle fun weekend driver and all the gadgets worked.that brings me to your system fairly complex yet appealing to my inner tech ....working on one last model pulling all the stop, glass and fiber thousand hours of work might be worthy of such a complex controller but who will fly it ?.
Very good video! Will there be a follow up video, that perhaps dives more into the button choices mentioned here, gimbal control, multiple flightmodes, and maybe mission planning?
Had no idea this existed... The all in one controller is why I went with a Yuneec drone. Good to see theres something similar for more generic use. That said, I expect this costs a lot more than my cheap FlySky controller.
I haven't yet seen anyone review the SIYI ZT6 thermal camera gimbal. It purports to be compatible with Ardupilot. Perhaps that would work decently with the Herelink on the X500. I'd love to have some thermal on my X500.
I have not seen any proper reviews of the Syil mk32 ecosystem that 3dxr also sells. I would like to see such a review where it is compared to the Herelink
I have the same transmitter and has been set up in such way when I arm the drone the motors are spinning,I tried with ardupilot to eliminate that but it doesn’t work ,is there a way to stop the motors spinning when armed from the transmitter ,I appreciate your help - thank you !
@@George25 Word? When I arm my motors they spin. On all of my builds. When you say, "arm the drone", is that the same as or different from, "arm the motors"? Or are you referring to simply turning the drone on?
hey quick question what if i have a jetson nano on my drone and i want to control the jetson nano from my laptop on the ground using ssh, how can the herelink help me in establishing a connection between the two of them
Hey, love your videos I have a question, for some reason my herelink doesnt let me register it, I’ve had many herelinks in the past and this is the first time that this has happened, any idea how I can register it ?
I've not seen that here. The only thing I've seen is if the wiFi network has some kind of security or gateway on it that you need to get around. If you find the answer, let me know. Best of luck!
Do you have a video to show how to add user sensor to a drone and control the sensor through herelink. The user sensor has an app like the mission plan to control the sensor and get sensor data to laptop?
hello i have a question about the ethernet port of my herelink is not working although i think the wifi is working as iam able to get the camera rtsp feed to my laptop when i connected the camera to the herelink through hdmi do you know what i can do or whom to ask about this?
@@Painless360 we bought it from irlock but they are not responding to any of our emails do you know any expert on this we can send him the herelink to look at or any advice on this?
When I see planes, I don't see an integrated solution like we get with DJI say, we see googles, Tx's and Rx's, but not really integrated, putting them on a plane with herelink shows integration, it would almost be possible for it to an off-the-shelf plane solution, showing video, telemetry and flight components all working, what is almost the perfect ship in an AR Wing Pro. While I might agree any one could do it, but I suspect you and Ben are best placed. If Ben were to sell them, I might even buy one.
Currently: at work with everything sitting on my porch waiting for me to get home. Thanks for this and all your videos. Very helpful
Bloody brilliant ! I've been waiting a year for something like this. THANK YOU Lee, Ben. Looking forward to the next in the series already 😃

Things are getting more impressive in the hobby
This is quite „old“ 😄 and well established
Saw this a few years ago.
Was interested, but it's just too expensive to just try it out.
Nice to see a video about it!

Yes I would love to learn the advance setups of here link

Hi Lee, thank you for this video.
Would like to see side by side with the SIYI systems..
Hi Ben, thanks for that great video... What is the camera and interface that you are using?

Thank You! I just wanted to let you know that I needed this video. How do you calibrate the ESCs with this system?
The same way as with any Ardupilot system. Video on ESC calibration tips with Ardupilot coming soon... Happy flying
When do we see an upgrade, been around for a few years now. Bigger and brighter screen would be awesome

Hello can this system be use as a stand alone for camera only. it don't need to connect to a flight controller. please advise, Thank you for your time
Not sure, I'd ask a reseller. Best of luck

Does it matter where the GPS antenna is connected? Because I thought I had to connect it to the right side. Thank you!😅
Ben is the expert so I would tend to follow his example. Unless the manual and firmware has been updated since this video was made.... Best of luck
Yeah I was wondering the same because they’re two diff antennas

The delay in the video had too much lag for FPV..
