when he sent all his money to his parents leaving him broke, so broke that he couldn't even afford a taxi and had to walk...i give so much respect for that!!
Such a gorgeous young man my brother got me into Giannis I’ve never watched nba only watch Lebron’s highlights same with Klay Thompson but now I’ve watched some of Giannis highlights I really want to watch nba full time and get into it more since being an aussie I only watch our sports but really starting loving the nba can’t wait for it to come back
I’m a Lebron fan but hardly watched basketball I’d only watch Lebron’s highlights but since my younger brother watches nba he told me about Giannis I’ve watched some of his highlights and watch his interviews he has such an amazing talent and seems like a very humble young man I watched the brothers youtube channel they have all seem like decent men now that I’ve started liking other nba players along with Giannis I really want to watch the nba now so when it comes back after the whole virus situation I’m going to watch more games
Dude started playing basketball in 2008!!!! When he was drafted he's been playing basketball for 5 years only. I wish people would stop comparing giannis to other greats from age 18-22 because giannis had a late start to basketball, it's not a fair comparison for him
Well, if you think it like, from the day he opened his eyes in this world, is living in a place which is fully a greek culture and live, think & dream exactly how the (greek) people over there did, then he is totally Greek but of a different colour than usual greeks :)
Yep & we are living / entering into a new era of globalization & worldwide migration. Let this story inspire you & many others to come of love & unity & humanity
So I must say you not an American then, you from Africa. Learn the difference between nationality & ethnicity. He has never been to Nigeria. The young man is Greek culturally even baptized Greek orthodox. I don't like conversing with low IQ ppl sorry waste of time. με πόλι αγάπη

+Dadasha You need to distinguish between a refugee and an economic immigrant, and also between an economic immigrant and an illegal economic immigrant. His parents and family were not refugees.
He’s a product of Greece! He speaks Greek, baptized Greek Orthodox. Greece is all he knows. He’s more Greek than a Greek. Besides, he has made it very clear, No One can tell him he’s not Greek. He is a son of Greece. If it wasn’t for a local Greek coach, Spiros Velianitis, no one would ever know who this kid is.
European nations and countries are not immigrant but native so Greek and Greek can have two different meanings. He is Greek by citizenship, he is not Greek by ethnicity. The government of Greece only gave him papers when it became clear he will go high in the NBA draft (and he needed papers to be eligible anyway - he didnt have Nigerian either).

That's the real moment of life if your family is happy you are happy too even if you are broke.

Greece will have a really good international team if he heads it up, they could beat America again like at the 2004 Olympics! Good Darkhorse
His Greek heritage probably goes back to the days of the Spartans. It’s in his DNA.
