Thanks. Very interesting and educational. The chair is a great acquisition too. Chairs, like books, are fascinating; I even have my own copy of 1000 Chairs from Taschen,
The books are absolutely beautiful, I’ve never seen authentic antique Japanese books before! I think they’d look perfect on the wall and would be well protected that way too. And the little chair really is adorable - what a fun way to keep track of the books you’re reading and want to read soon! Very interesting purchases! Really enjoyed the video too 🌼
I just came across your channel and i am in love! I was wondering if you can film a video talking about all your favourite books of all time, that would be amazing!!
This was a fun episode! (Well, they ALL are...but this was especially nice). My younger daughter (whom I believe is close to you in age), has long had a fascination with antique books and first editions, worked for quite awhile with a publisher (in IT) before starting a family and also took courses in book binding and antique book restoration so this resonated with me. So did the chair- I guess I used something like that back in the end of the '50s, when I was just starting school. I also apprenticed for a time, back in the '80s, with an antique furniture restorer so I love pieces with a history! My husband has an antique oak dresser he brought into our relationship and when we build our new tiny home we are going to find a way to incorporate it! A question about your newly acquired antique books: Are they hand-tinted/painted? Also, is it wood-cut printing? Anyway, once you have them framed and hung please do show us! 😍
Skincare: Night: Wash face with a cleansing face wash (any brand). Heavier night cream (any brand) in the winter, nothing in the summer. Morning: Don't wash face. Just pass a cotton pad with toner (any brand) on my face. Use Clinique 100 hr moisture surge cream. Makeup: L'oreal True Match Super Blendable Powder Mascara That's it.
Cool idea with the cute chair
Loved them. How cute is that 🪑😍🤗

Love the framing idea and the IKEA trolley alternative :)

Wood-cut printing!
Hello, thank you for this! Do you know which would be the best website to buy japanese books like these?
I'm sure you could buy some on Japanese Yahoo Auctions.
@@tokyochemist Thanks!
I want to know your skincare routine for some reason

Kojeve wrote that since Japan hasn't really been in a war in a while, and all revolutionary change is real history, history has ended for Japan.
