I'm Australian with Macedonian heritage and everything you've said about Canada is also true about Australia! Indeed it seems the entire Western World is F@#&$D! You've got me thinking 🤔!
Best decision guys!! As I am getting older, I am daily thinking of going back to Macedonia. There's lots of space for everyone there. And is beautiful Country. Welcome to Macedonia!
Kudo's to you for taking such a brave decision, I only wish you all the happiness in the world. It is very fortunate that you are able to keep your job which you had in Canada and work remotely. Many are unable to have that option. Would the situation be different if you had to try and find a job there.? Too many Macedonians continue to leave and there is a reason for that. All the same I wish you all the best.
Thank you for your kind words! I would say it really depends on what kind of job you have. I know people here who work for foreign companies (both locally and remotely) who earn a decent wage as per the living standard in Macedonia. I'm very grateful for my situation!
My Fiancee are planning on moving back to croatia after we get married next year. Life just seems better, and we can see opportunities to make a living that we don't have here in Canada anymore.
I have not been to Canada but some people in my place like to go there, its all because of the Canadian dollar which has a good value here in the Philippines.
Me and my family moved to Macedonia from Australia in the 2000s just like yours and unfortunately, it was unlivable and like many others we headed back. however today Macedonia is becoming more and more like the west and the locals are feeling it, they are working in factories and not having time to see each other like they used to, but not as cold and isolated as the west as it's a small place and nothing can change that! Still it might be more calm than the west because everyone is stuck in a massive rat race, I encourage more to move back!
I am also Canadian born/raised and from a Macedonian background (Grandparents are born/raised in MK). I see its a big trend where people are moving back to their home countries with their 'Canadian Money. (many people from south east Asia are doing this). My only concern about going back to Macedonia would be for future generations (i.e. my future children). I would never want to raise a family in Macedonia, because I know my children would not have an economical future there.
The price depends on how much stuff you bring. The company we worked with charged $250 USD per cubic centimeter (up to 20 cubic centimeters). If you have over 20 cubic centimeters, then the price drops to $200 USD per cubic centimeter. Feel free to inbox me for more info!
So true , i'm from Australia and have been to North Macedonia 11 years ago . Strangers saying hello to me felt amazing , you don't get that in Australia . Seeing children in the city centre at night playing , you won't get that here . Australia Canada ,UK , New Zealand ect all the same . I'm not sure what their plan is .They all have the same goal mass migration .
Would you mind sharing where about in Canada? Of course no place in the world is perfect to live, but I highly recommend doing research on the current situation in Canada. Many people are leaving
@@Back2TheBalkans I have been researching Canada and its situation. However, its still BETTER in Canada than here. Cost of living is still more affordable in Canada than here. With an average salary in Macedonia you can not afford the rent and utilities, especially winter. Let alone food or other necesseties. Ideally i want to move to Ottawa, Regina or Calgary. We'll see, I plan to apply next year!
@TechByteCentral Best of luck to you! The average income in Macedonia definitely isn't great, which I'm fortunate enough to work a remote job and it seems more and more people are going that route. Do keep in mind that the average salary in Ottawa is around $60K, while the average price of a house there is around $630,000. The math just doesn't add up, unless you're ok with renting.
I know nothing about your home land but it must be nice. Canada is and always has been run by a greedy King. I also am thinking of leaving , but do not know where to go. Climate is a big issue . Do not want it to be too hot or cold. Affordable is a big deal as I am on a pension.
Why she moved from Canada to Macedonia: cuz she has no idea. 😂 girl. I think u dont know what u getting into. I just hope ur channel grows. Cuz if u dont theres no way u will survive here even if u work. The salary is like 800 dollara but the bread is like 3 dollars here. Apart from that the bills is 400 dollars if u warm ur home with electricity and not woods. Remember this comment. You made the biggest mistake of ur life.
@SalahudinMuq It's unfortunate that you feel the need to spread such negativity. Believe it or not, my family and I are actually thriving here, and we've been here for a year. This channel is not for income purposes, it's purely a hobby. So no, this was actually the best decision for us by far. The expenses here are incomparable to Canada.
@@Back2TheBalkans didnt say you broke honey money pony. But you didnt get me. Im warning you if you live by macedonian salary. Not if you have salary from Canada. Anyways whatever. Better to tell u the truth. Then to say omg welcome aww so happy bla bla bla

@pistolpete7280 I personally would be much more concerned of the economical future of Canada
@@Back2TheBalkans Yea, Canada is a 2 star hotel w/ a 5 star price..
I don't know if you check this anymore but I moved to North Macedonia would like to get in touch with you all
@usaveteran5934 I still use the channel, I'm just slow to make new videos! Was it a permanent move? Would love to know what brought you here.
How much did it cost you guys to ship a container from Canada to Macedonia?

Are you learning Macedonian?
Of course. Since the day I arrived, I've been improving :)

Perhaps you can visit Macedonia one day to see how you like it and explore the country. It's not uncommon for people to retire here :)
Did you find a job in Macedonia?
I kept the same Canadian job that I previously had before the move, and I work remotely now :)
