  • On November 14, 2016 Peer Assistance Services, Inc. hosted the Fall 2016 SBIRT Colorado meeting. At this time, two presenters shared their unique SBIRT project findings.

    SBIRT Analysis: Financial impact for practices that implemented Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) for substance use (1:42 - 34:13)
    A cost analysis that was completed by Steve Melek of Millliman, an actuarial consulting firm, looking at how SBIRT has impacted health outcomes and health care costs for those sites that have implemented SBIRT.
    SBIRT Assessment with Recommendations (35:01 - 1:11:26)
    An in-depth review about billing for SBIRT services was completed by Pamela Ballou-Nelson of MGMA Health Care Consulting Group.
