Ormond Beach, Florida between St Augustine and Daytona Beach. Still remnants of Old Florida remain, hopefully for a while yet. I’m packing for a trip to Banff for a conference as the spouse. Weather is unpredictable and a challenge to choose 3-color capsule combinations that will fit the location appropriately and still feel like me-you know what I mean. Videoed myself for hours in various colors and was that a revelation! Outfits that look great in the mirror but not so flattering in movement. Goes along with your video. Nothing wrong exactly but just not as good as it could be. Definitely want to appear taller since I will be amongst people socially. So thanks for your tips as I continue the packing journey. Cheers!

Thank you! I like the first outfit, if I wanted to keep the crop jean length, In general I would always tuck in the top and elongate leg. I have a short torso so I gravitate to crew neck to elongate my torso.

I'm glad you showed us visual examples of what you were talking about. Bc had you just told us that a pointed toe vs a rounded toe would make us look taller, I would have thought, HOW? But you are so right! I was surprised to see what a difference these small little changes made to your appearance of looking taller. I'm 5'2, so I giant compared to you, but I still love appearing a bit taller, so THANK YOU for these tips!

I would also wear a pair of navy ankle boots to visually lengthen me even more. One-color waist to toes is an old trick, but a good one. As a fuller-busted woman, I can definitely say that V-necks, or any vertical neckline like a slot one, is much more flattering than round or high necks. I also love a square neckline and it’s great-looking under blazers, much better than a V. When I wear crew necks under sweaters or jackets, they also ride up in front because of the weight and friction on the back, choking me at the base of the neck, it’s not comfy. The best looks for a fuller bust visually cut the full expanse if chest. They don’t have to be low-cut, as frequently, but incorrectly recommended for this figure type, I’ve never shown any cleavage at all, just some of the upper chest.

I’m 4’11, petite sizes 2-4 fit me. But if I choose a boot cut, it’s too long! having them professionally hemmed is additional $$

Hi Laurie! In the white button down I wear a 00 and it is very roomy. The everyday tee is from Loft and I wear an XS, it is also roomy.
Wear do you find your jeans for being a petite? I'm 5 ft, and can't find a boot cut in 24 or 25 inches.
The boot cut I wear have a 30 in inseam
Very nice ideas , good visuals & clear explanations . However , I just don't get the concept of wanting to look taller ! Personally , I like being 5'3" ( size 2 / 4 ) as I was a pro equestrian who , because of my height & size , could ride / show horses from near-pony size to tall thoroughbreds . For several years , I also galloped race horses & rode a few races . So , a nice living , interesting & fulfilling career , by being " not tall " ! 🥰 Enjoy dressing up , whether jeans or formal wear , & wearing well-fitted , occasion appropriate , classic outfits w/ an on-trend accent , but no matter what , I'm still gonna be & look 5'3" ! 🤣
