she didn't need fancy clothes or extravagant visuals to create something really magic, perfect and catchy...this girl rocks in a smooth way!!! love it!
Nora's lyrics along with her tempo can take a person back to a place in time that you remember exactly where you were and who was with you time and time again she draws you back into an almost forgotten World
Even to places where you've never been, but you'd wish you had... not only places, also moments... She's an expert in this... Love and almost hate her for that.
Of course. She's Ravi Shankar's (the magical sitar player blessed by God) daughter. And her mom Sue Jones is a such a good soul. She's the miracle they created.
There is something about Norah's voice... Hi guys and Gals. I am a huge Norah Jones fan, i have listened to her stuff since early 2002 when i first heard the songs "Dont know why" and "Come away with me". Ever since then i have known about Norah and i have been to two of her concerts from the last 2 albums. Norah is a beautiful, soulful and wonderful singer, and unlike so many "solo artists" she will be around for a long time yet. Keep on rolling Norah. You have a wonderful gift my lady.
I think god is so unfair. Why would he give her such a beautiful voice + beautiful face + beautiful soul + great talent and I have nothing? haha. Love all of her songs I really love her. Such a beautiful woman...
i think i finally this song/video she's talking to herself, or the two sides of herself (which is really obvious in 3:30), it also makes sense of the different outfits, and the weird kaleidoscope type shots where the view is split into 2 or 4. It's like there's this jaded outsider version of herself looking in and the naive girl always getting hurt... it's kind of beautiful when you look at it that way... :D
You've got a famous last name But you're not to blame Baby, I see you for who you are A one-time apple queen And a one-time tramp And an old-time movie star You're a shell picker of the pickiest kind But you always find the ones to keep And in or out of bed You keep your head wide open 'Cause you don't only dream when you're asleep Like a child, you remember But I forget all my dreams I used to think that someday I'd relax a little And be more like you Then I realized how silly that thought was I needed to stand in my own shoes And from over here, I can see you cry Don't even try to pretend 'Cause he's hurt you so many times Baby, don't go back again Like a child, you forget But I remember everything and every sting And through all the games we'll both stay the same As we've always been through the fat and the thin Until the end Until the end, oh
I've yet to see or hear anything by Norah Jones that I don't like very much. A very classy, beautiful lady. I think she's probably at least as nice in person as she appears in her very tasteful and creative videos.
A beautiful song, video and woman! I am so amazed and happy that she displays nature and how magical it is.....even if the details were not intentionally planned, every detail of every shot in the video is awe-inspiring!
I feel like on my most tired day that this song will bring me my eager rest. There's a sunny hand on my cheek as I lay in a field of grass on a summer day and it's this song. I feel like there's an old park in the middle of a cozy seaside European neighborhood that needs me to sit in it and enjoy the scenery. Two forces are fighting for my allegiance and I realize how trivial the things I want are in lieu of my needs. Have you ever been kissed by music?
Hello! The last line of your comment struck me viscerally and inspired me to write this poem, so I thought I’d share it with you: Kissed “Have you ever been kissed by music?” As the lips brushed up against my cheek, I felt the notes invigorate, Inspire my choreography. But have I ever been kissed by music? With stretching sunlit chords? The sound waves stimulate my eyes To break their levy wards. But have I ever been kissed by music? Shivers sprint along my spine, And sweat pours out in answer Every hair stands up in reply, But have I ever been kissed by music? Yes. The simple melody Of fragrance set with honey And chamomile like fresh-brewed tepid tea And yawning strings that shine Reflecting bolts of lightning moonrays, Into apple cider donut glaze And summer eves like autumn days And soft, caressing, fuzzy Rhodes tones Spring mind to lyrics and fingers to keys Have *you* ever been kissed by music? May she kiss you if she please. -Andy Cripps
I remember when I first heard her voice, I said to myself, who is that singer, I was looking for a new Sound coming from a Artist and it finally came, something about her voice that is so soothing, it's like she's some kind of Godess who can Calm Stormy waters with that Voice.
Awesome was waiting for a remaster in HD. Love this song. Memories of 2007 leaving school and listening to this on bus rides or walks home. GOD bless you Ms Jones. Thank you for sharing your talent and heart.
norah is big this song has an interesting message, this is what I like about norah jones might be some songs dont have good music but instead have a good message
Can’t believe this comment is 12 years old 😮 Ironically I was going through a divorce at this time, and had no clue who Nora Jones was. I’ve grown to live her lyrics, and it so relates to what I’ve seen or been through. Truly appreciated
I cant stop listening to Nora at the moment, so relaxing. I love this song i have no idea who she is singing about but somehow i came up with Bonnie Raitt.

She's good it makes me want to cover all of her songs.. she's so incredible and so chill. My earliest musical inspiration.. "Don't Know Why" broke my heart wide open and started me singing. Love you Norah!! 🤍🤍
Yes I have really liked her music a lot, of course some better than others. A good example is I watched this movie an hour or so back named Run Away Jury, and it was a pretty good movie but could have been better. I think if the director had not left some of the feeling of it on the cutting room floor, but the music playing as the ran the credits was sensational to me. It was Norah Jones, but they never showed her name or the name of the song. I heard her saying as part of the lyrics... "you can do the crime, don't do the crime." Who knows the name of this song?
Earworm this week, But think it was beautifully handled. Perfectly reigned in to engage the song’s quiet dynamics musically and if listening see the words are not simple nor the song. I am not sure how stripped don the extra 20th east coast will be. I am hoping way back and Brian if free is behind his gretsch kit. You keep restraint in the perfect places and let it drive right where or when needed. Perfect key to feel what you embodied and that gives it just that extra mood to let it out with head held high moving through an emotional one. Thanks for the grace you put in instead of just another, Loud, angry song we hear repetitively. You are classy accept while driving! But thank you for this very underrated song. I am looking forward to see if it makes the list for Boston. I have not adjusted well to being in the wheelchair full time. So, an escape from hospice if I can a get a Handicap-seat and escape hospice. It would be up there in happiest moments, not because I enjoy pulling your music apart and forgive me have to arrange solo for the community, as I think I mentioned . As is kindness and love to all, as long as they respect boundaries and have social skills, the very small tots , learn a new word, ‘tact’ 😂 and keeping it fun. Their laughter fills me. As always, a pleasure to speak with you. Have a beautiful night Ms. Jones. I hope you will one day accept my request, I can’t figure out Instagram but the nurses try. Those will be ones I will never forget. Not playing but singing standards with your crew. You still have that cute, ‘ I don’t’ know what to do with my hands without a piano, and it is endearing, and you grew from a beautiful soul to one that is aged with wisdom and a soul that keeps growing and a way to find many ways seen or not to give. Thank you for touching my life before people ever knew your name. I asked! A huge step for a very shy guy, and you were shy as well. All things for a reason they say. I will try very hard to make Boston if I am still here in the physical form, if not, II hope they have orchestra pit front stage level. True True!!! She is our Billie holiday!! Simple!! She get me going no matter what!!
She’s referring to Frank Sinatra songs…so it makes sense.
@@MountainPearlsSister where are you from? Do you really follow the Christianity?? Who is your God???
While listening to her stuff, you can't help but think how much of a beautiful soul she has.

Norah is my Unicorn... Magical. It's hard to find anything/anyone like her that exists.
That's so spot on, but also, I think she's rarer than a unicorn. I'll tell you why I think she is if you want, but only if you want me to.
I dont what exactly, but Norahs songs always return my soul to the place where is predicted to be.
I could not find a better way to express my feeling.
MOST AGREED. Her voice always cleanses whatever I didn't know, I no longer needed.
the very centre of the universe...
Amen! It may
I think god is so unfair. Why would he give her such a beautiful voice + beautiful face + beautiful soul + great talent and I have nothing? haha.
Love all of her songs I really love her. Such a beautiful woman...
You got a thumbs up, we'll call it even.
This woman calms me when anxiety creeps in.
Norah Jones can sing by reading of her phone text and still makes me fall over heel with her music. i love it. i cant get enough of her.
i think i finally this song/video
she's talking to herself, or the two sides of herself (which is really obvious in 3:30), it also makes sense of the different outfits, and the weird kaleidoscope type shots where the view is split into 2 or 4. it's kind of beautiful when you look at it that way... :D
Making a Norah Jones video must be the easiest thing ever. Just need her amazingly beautiful songs, and a very close up of her!
The philosophical depth of the title has been truly justified by Norah. Bravo.
From all the million views on Norah's songs, I'm probably 3 million in total throughout the years.
One of the most beautiful songs that i ever heard purely magical.
You've got a famous last name
But you're not to blame
Baby, I see you for who you are
A one-time apple queen
And a one-time tramp
And an old-time movie star
You're a shell picker of the pickiest kind
But you always find the ones to keep
And in or out of bed
You keep your head wide open
'Cause you don't only dream when you're asleep
Like a child, you remember
But I forget all my dreams
I used to think that someday I'd relax a little
And be more like you
Then I realized how silly that thought was
I needed to stand in my own shoes
And from over here, I can see you cry
Don't even try to pretend
'Cause he's hurt you so many times
Baby, don't go back again
Like a child, you forget
But I remember everything and every sting
And through all the games we'll both stay the same
As we've always been through the fat and the thin
Until the end
Until the end, oh

her voice and style are so classic. she always reminds me of the 1930 era for some reason.
cant explain how beautiful this music is.
TheWowwac
That's exactly why it's that beautiful. It's out of reach!
This is by far, my favorite Norah Jones Song!
U are one of the greatest singing now keep its up
Quality needs no show. Real fine music.
I'm afraid to say it out loud, but i'm kinda thinking this is one of her most original and freshest songs. Has a strong gospel pull, as well.
best music on any day, but rainy days are even better. LUV.
she has voice like...i don't know how to say it... godess voice !!! perfect...
this video so simple it makes it even better
would love to shee her in concert very unlikely to be dissapointed with a natural voice like this. her and ray lamontange = real music

Beautiful Creature Of course... why not?

Have you ever been kissed by music?
Hello! The last line of your comment struck me viscerally and inspired me to write this poem, so I thought I’d share it with you:
Kissed
“Have you ever been kissed by music?”
As the lips brushed up against my cheek,
I felt the notes invigorate,
Inspire my choreography.
But have I ever been kissed by music?
With stretching sunlit chords?
The sound waves stimulate my eyes
To break their levy wards.
But have I ever been kissed by music?
Shivers sprint along my spine,
And sweat pours out in answer
Every hair stands up in reply,
But have I ever been kissed by music?
Yes. The simple melody
Of fragrance set with honey
And chamomile like fresh-brewed tepid tea
And yawning strings that shine
Reflecting bolts of lightning moonrays,
Into apple cider donut glaze
And summer eves like autumn days
And soft, caressing, fuzzy Rhodes tones
Spring mind to lyrics and fingers to keys
Have *you* ever been kissed by music?
May she kiss you if she please.
