I initially thought this was a reuploaded April Fools joke I missed, then I saw the new character art and got excited! Hahaha! Glad to see I wasn't the only one interested in the CDI games lately

Interesting fact about Tetris CD-i's soundtrack: Jim Andron actually released the original master tracks onto his soundcloud (with the exception of one track due it being missing). The sound quality on them is really good (as one would expect), but more interestingly... I've noticed that some of the songs seem to be played at a slightly lower speed compared to how they usually sound in-game. Which could mean that when the songs got compressed on the disc, the tuning on some tracks were severely affected by it. Making the key sound a bit higher than it's supposed to.
Came here to say this! Glad to see a lot of people found those masters he published.
I know Stu doesn't do ytps anymore but I add his new vids to my ytp playlist because he has a good place in my ytp head canon. Im loving this newer style of content too.
Yeah I've been following him since almost around the time he started in 2009-2010 and even with the change in content I still love Stu's stuff.

It looks like they spent some serious money on that puppet (also voiced by Cam Clarke) for Zombie Dinos From Planet Zeltoid. Blinking, articulated eyebrows, excellent material and construction. Someone cared. No idea why, but they did.
I came here to say just that - the dinosaur was also Cam Clarke XD I recognized his voice and had to double-check! I love him and I had no idea he was in multiple CD-i games!

I used to like Chaos Control and even now I don't find it to be bad. Though I am familiar with the MS-DOS version.
It has two difficulties: "cakewalk" and "you won't beat the city level". I recommend spending an evening with this simple thing - it is enjoyable.

This is my favorite video from you stu. You had some funny moments in this video.
I always found the CD-i an interesting console that got overshadowed by “those games”, and it’s understandable why.
But it unfortunately left very little documentation of the console’s library. I’ve always had a weird interest in games on failed consoles to try and find hidden gems.

And he was the original Leonardo in the 80s Ninja Turtles cartoon. You absolutely could not escape Cam Clarke in the 80s and 90s, he did voice overs in so much stuff.

The last world has FIFTEEN levels, you see.
...and the last two worlds require you to beat two sections of hotel on each and every level.
Perhaps one day, we can all enjoy Hotel Mario beyond stage 4...
The Philips CD-i definitely wasn't a failure, and the games were probably an attempt to cap off their sales with a family market.
It was used in company training programs, and like you said, museum tours and such. If I had to guess, it was meant as a multimedia company resource that turned into a game console last minute for extra sales.

Zombie Dinos from Planet Zeltoid does have multiple dinos to hunt. I've had at least 3 different ones... not that I'm proud of that. I hope you find some other weird ones for next time. Kether, Inca, Escape from Cyber City, Dimo's Quest, Secret Mission...

If you want a Tetris game that has a good soundtrack AND good gameplay, I’d recommend Tetris Effect!
