- Dimension and fact are basic building blocks in Data Warehouse. In this tutorial, we will understand what is dimension and fact and what differentiates any data into these two categories.
A newbie to BI world, Never understood this so clearly. Your knowledge and way of explaining is commendable and impressive

Good job.👌..keep it up👍..Thank you👍👌💐
appreciate your kind words.
where are the next set of videos?
If I have 2 scenarios on transactions data from a pharmacy chain of 10 stores.
1) Each individual store has exclusivity over products. No product exists in more than one store.
2) All stores keep all the products, such that for each product, you can find it in all the 10 stores.
Between the two, what difference should I be aware of in building the dimension and fact table?
I think in scenario 1, the store name is a dimension.
In scenario 2, the store_name is a fact.
Please correct me if I am wrong.
In both the scenarios store_name is Dimension. Product sold on those stores will go to fact, e.g. no of products, per day sale, quantity sold etc.
Simply superb
