Ian Martin was born on April 29, 1912 in Glasgow, Scotland. He was an actor and writer, known for Starting Over (1979), Somerset (1970) and The Wonderful John Acton (1953). He died on July 30, 1981 in New York City, New York, USA. Trivia (1) Between 1974 and 1981, he appeared in 194 episodes of the "CBS Radio Mystery Theater."
*_Hey Chilly_* _Just a note to say thanks for having posted all of these wonderful CBSRMT episodes. Hope you're still doing well. Another thing - Your illustrations have always delighted me. They really add magic to the audio. Thanks again._
Unfortunately, we lost Chilly about 5 years ago, but I know they would appreciate your comment, and would have replied. Chilly put a lot of time into the art, for the channel. Every one, is so perfect! Love to all, from Texas!
Reminds me of a beautiful yet sinnister dream I had once about walking around on the ocean floor amongst pyramids and seahorses and other colorful lifeforms and strange architecture. Thanks for bringing it back to me!
It’s amazing that no wreckage of the six missing planes from flight 19 has ever been found, but the area comprising the Bermuda Triangle is very large. This is the same reason why flight MH730 disappearance may never be solved.
Flight 19 has always held much intrigue...the beginning of “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” has a wonderful reference to it. And the ending does as well....
@@JackOSUrulz My is that a few years ago a Wright R-2600 Double Cyclone had been found in the Atlantic off of the eastern seaboard that was checked out and found to be off of one of the TBMs that were in flight 19.
it is not so amazing that they've disappeared - it's a deep ocean out there - it'll be just by happenstance if they are found - (there are small planes lost in the mountains which have never been recovered) however - there's no need to find them to prove their location - they were triangulated via their radio that night - they were located out in the Atlantic - and heading farther out - air traffic control people could hear them - but couldn't reach them - altho one student pilot seemed to know - he said they just need to turn and head the way they came - he turned back towards florida - but then he lost confidence - and rejoined the squadron
Another triangle tale, like another Bigfoot or Sasquash. Folks, some, prefer to hold the legend sacred. It's been going on long before I was born and will continue longer than I live. Its almost a codependance with a legend. Yet, it makes for a good story.
it is true all of it. Dr. Chuck Missler transhumanism. And then you have Peter S Ruckman doctor. And then Dr Gene Kim in which all of them talk about most of the things if not all CBS Radio Mystery Theater offers as being true
@@williamnorton9547 it is well known what happened - the control tower people who were involved were alive and were interviewed in a terrific NOVA documentary - poor Flight 19 was led by a man who got disoriented and thought they was around the Keys - so headed north then east to return to base - since they were actually on the east coast of florida (determined by triangulating the radio beams) - this route caused him to lead his group farther out into the Atlantic until they ran out of fuel - they were heard when they were preparing to ditch
@@johneyon5257 you must have o.d..on debunker's junk. If this was really do, why didn't the ORIGINAL investigation say so!? Both yourself, and NOVA need to stop worshipping the great God "science" do much, and admit there are still mysteries in the world...

Is your name taken from "Miracle of the Sun" ?
Oct131917 TR thanks for that 😄
He died at 69? That's pretty young...any idea what killed him? His voice is so distinctive, and his stories are some of my favorites.
Thanx for the info what character does he play in this story??
👍
Another thought provoking episode thank you

Well put brother

Agree, awesome graphics that enhance the mystery theater story greatly, also a unique feature identifying ChillySunshine. 👍😎

That dream reminds me of a Lovecraft story
An Octopuses Garden in the Shade?
I LOVED this! Recall Radio Mystery Theater from years gone by & hope to hear more!
Awesome 👍🏼✝️🇺🇲
Every few years, whenever the wreckage of a same aircraft is found, skeptics say it's Flight 19. Always turns out not to be, of course...
That was an awesome story!!
Love the art!
This is better than t.v.! or the movies!
Great story and as usual cbsrmt pulls it out the bag brilliant and what a mind Ian Martin had just great!!!

Just imagine if seances really worked and we could actually speak to the Dead ? Think of that,
How badly I would want to talk to my mom and dad
the corsair in the pic..those planes were smaller than the f6f hellcat but they look bigger..
Another aircraft story! I'm seeing a pattern here.
Yes , I've noticed it too. Countless stories involving air travel
So glad for all the aircraft episodes, thanks ChillySunshine. 🛩️
surprising but comforting twist on the legend
This was scary.
Verry Interesting Journey 😥
Most awesome tale based on the truth, as the ‘truth is out there’. Go out and find it.

A tale twisted out of proportion, pure Hollywood......
Was this story inspired by the disappearance of Flight 19 into the Bermuda Triangle?
Yeah, it's also a good possibility " 19" went down is South Georgia near Florida line when the flight plan is reversed.
Phillip Hershman
