you said don’t use the pro feature for fonts and elements, but does that include the actual artwork I might want to place on the product as well?

How do you make some graphics/text NOT editable on the invitation for buyers?
You're welcome! I would make the design, delete the editable text boxes, download the design as a PNG, upload the PNG back into Canva (now it's just one flat design) and add back the text boxes.
@6:38 when you're coping the link, we need to make sure that 'anyone with this link can edit' option should be enabled.
If you share that link, customers will be editing your original design and you don't want that. Make sure you are sharing the template link!

Hello, thank you so much! Quick question, after I turn my template into the PDF, the picture/link doesn't seem to be "clickable" or interactive on the PDF file for the client. I tried with a few different PDF viewers. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi there, just a question since i watched this before I created my listing of 7 items 3 days ago. So i used a canva acc that is pro shared because i make 2 sizes of the same design but used all free elements then sent a copy to my personal acc. Is that okay or i am in danger?
Also, when making mock ups, I am using my personal acc for the mock up but i use tye free version tyen just edit the photos, is that also okay?

how do i make sure that no one can edit any of the effects on canva and only be able to edit the text?
If we use fonts that we uploaded ourselves, will the customer also have access to those fonts?

This is so helpful-you are amazing! I have a quick question: are you intending for this design to be printed at 8.5"X11" once it it edited or was this example for customers who just want to edit/send out their invitations virtually?
I want to try and make some invites that people can edit and then print, so I'm just wondering if I should make that art board a different size, like 5"X7" so that their prints can be proportional to the standard invitation size!

Thanks for sharing. Question - when they click the template link to edit their own info into the invite, will they have access to canva pro to have access to different fonts etc? or will they literally only be able to change their names and words with that exact font you'd set up?
Hi! They do not need Canva Pro to be able to change fonts. If they don't have Canva Pro and they pick a premium font, they will have to pay to download though.
Thank you for this tutorial! When you're designing your initial invitation, would you recommend using images that are JPEG or PNG files?
I usually use PNGs but either should be fine
What if you asked the person, for the information ahead of time, then send them the file as a pdf to print ?
@@vanessazawaski8451 Like you want to do the personalization for them? You can add a personalization box for them to leave their details on Etsy. Def not as passive as sharing a template, but you could charge a little more

This is a great video! Can we use photos searched in google for our designs? Will we get copyright issues?
Only use stuff that clearly states it is royalty-free/commercial-use. I wouldn't just grab a random photo off Google.
I'm unable to upload my template design back into canva after downloading it to a PNG. I've tried countless things and it won't work. Is re-uploading it into Canva necessary? The error says upload error - the files you are trying to upload are not compatible or are corrupted. It's a PNG and i cannot get past this error.

There was another phone image she uploaded on top of that one with the hand because her invitation couldn’t fit. She just happen to remove that one

Are you uploading the PDF files to the Etsy ad, not the PNG files? And then how do you actually send the buyer the file when they purchase it?
You upload the listing photos as PNGs and that PDF file I made with the template link is what you upload to Etsy. Customers will download it and click on the link to be taken to the template

Hey! Do not share the collaboration link. You should be sharing the template link.
Should the fonts we use in the design not be pro?
Yes, only use the free ones because not all of your customers will have Canva pro and will have to pay for the premium fonts.
Hey what to do if customer is not using canva pro ? As we are designing template in canva we have to use canva pro version but after purchase customer are disappointed as they are not using canva pro. Is there any alternative to canva in which customer do not have to buy any subscription?
You don’t need to use Canva pro to sell templates. I recommend not using any Pro fonts or elements so customers can with a free account.

No you don't
I know you said not to use pro fonts but can you use pro graphics?
There are no legal issues with it but I still do not recommend it because not all customers will have a Canva Pro account and will have to pay for each Pro element you use...they won't be happy!
Hi what if i load other images on my canva, lets say from creative fabrica can i use those on invites i sell?
I believe so but you have to have the paid membership to creative fabrica

Not a silly question! Since you are sharing the template link, each customer will get an unaltered copy of your original design
I sell some digital invites on Etsy and what I’ve been having a problem with is when someone buys the same digital invitation when they go edit they can see the last person who brought and edit how can you avoid this?
You are sharing the wrong link with them. Make sure you are sharing the template link.

Hey I came to ask this same question. I had this issue yesterday I shared the template link and it change the design for the next person. Could there be another reason for this error?
When i share with the customer it asks for pro plan cause the desing includes pro elements
You should go in and remove all the Pro elements from your design
