I agree about public schools... I didn't grow up in England so it was when I was 12, I was sent to a girl's boarding school. My parents thought they were doing their best for my brother and me, better opportunities/education. I rebelled after 2 years. My brother had been going since the age of 8 (way too young) ...so I do get the point about boys in boarding schools, but girls are too. I later went to a small weekly boarding school with 15 kids who boarded. My brother had a different experience.

I met Jon Wedger back in 2020 when I was in a bad place personally and he was really kind to me. Sat and had a cuppa with me .. Lovely man, very genuine and doing such good work for those who suffer and have suffered the most abhorrent atrocities in life. He’s a good man. Decent and kind. Can’t fault him.

My friend was in the kids home , in London , they were lined up and taken to private swimming pools and drugged up and paraded and taken into cubicles and different rooms . The young girls were girls were drugged and made to do awful thing with animals and my friend was clever and eventually escaped and ended up living in a tunnel feral for 3 years . His stories are horrendous and these homes were managed by “ couples “ it’s horrific . He knows and has named many well known people who were there in those days .

I’m an ex NSY detective and served at the same time as John Wedger (different squads). I was initially sceptical of some of his wilder claims but his detailed knowledge of some of the cases he’s mentioned has convinced me that this stuff is mostly true.

Jon Wedger is wrong about the nurses, the two childrens wards at Leeds General Infirmary were equipped by the Jim'll Fix It TV show, the nurses on the two childrens wards would not leave him alone with a kid, they despised Savile, they hated him, he was always trying to get into the nurses homes when they had parties, they protected the kids in their care, and when he worked there as a porter on a Thursday they ensured he was never alone with a child, nobody took their concerns seriously, they were just mere nurses and he was a big star, and any complaints were brushed aside.
I spent three weeks at LGI on the kids ward in the late 70's when I was 13 and the nurses loathed him. Some of the nurses wanted to go to Last night of the Proms, and when I suggested I wrote to Jim'll Fix It, they recoiled in horror at the idea.

When sexual crimes have only she or he-arsay as evidence, then these things get dismissed/ignored. it can be brushed aside, considered gossip...victims chosen because they have silent/silenced voices! We are still uncovering historical assaults, within church, children's homes, youth movements, media, educational system, and the family. It's hard not to see it everywhere! we still close our eyes hope it isn't there. but the victim is silences, would be whistle-blowers seen as interfering, amongst other adjectives .My friend was bullied out of the police for whistle blowing on the 20 years of SA committed by the police doctor, reported and swept under the carpet. Many of my friends take till their 40s to discuss the historical C-SA they suffered. Jon is right about people who have been sexually abused almost having a sixth sense.
There is something about being preyed upon by a predator that marks you for life and makes you hyper aware of things. Abuse is often a game to predators and you realise you are on the chessboard and you start to anticipate the moves of people and notice specific predatory traits in others.

Abuse history be it sexual abuse as an adult or even more terribly for some people abuse as a child is often a reason for authorities to disbelieve what people say. I don't know if it was on this video or another but Jon talked about 'the bad character act" that was brought in where 'crimes of dishonesty' could be used against so.eone making an allegation in a court of law. This meant all those former children abused in care homes when they eventually became adults as homeless people who shoplifter to survive had charges of 'crimes of dishonesty' against them should they ever try to hold their abusers to account.
@charlottetaylor4471 but because I have a history of being sexually abused (I was an adult at the time not a child) I don't automatically go along with those who espouse anti establishment ideas such as Russell brand. Sure I might listen to what he says and see the merit in it but as a leader of a movement I don't see him as being above predatory behaviour and believe that one person can hold two conflicting narratives of themselves at the one time. He could be a sexual abuser and also calling out the corruption with big pharma. I like to access the information but I don't necessarily believe in hero worship of the person who said it.

I've been critical in the past of some of your guests ...this fella is absolutely fantastic and your interview technique is excellent.... you ask a question and you give him time to speak in detail. Most interviewers will talk over the interviewee...you don't do that. I'm really impressed ...absolutely compelling viewing Sir ...top job.
30 odd years ago I went to college with a woman who had been touched up by Rolf Harris when she was a little girl on Rolf's cartoon club yet no one would believe me that it happened and most said that my class mate had 'got it wrong' etc. No one wanted to believe me because "it's Rolf Harris!" Yet 15 or so years later no one seemed to remember me Telling them about Harris apart from one mate who said he remembered but thought I was 'exaggerating', but only a vile or mad person would call another person a kiddie diddler.

I’m Australian and I vaguely knew of Savile before all of this. I could never understand how the UK was so enamoured with him. He was ugly, creepy, rude, a braggart and just plain weird. As soon as I heard he was friends with Gary Glitter that was it. I knew it was all true. Lots of people would have known. But they were silenced by both the BBC and their own fear that they would never work again if they said anything. I have seen Savile secretary on documentaries and in my opinion she was in love with him. That’s why she covered for him. I think it’s rather strange that she still keeps boxes of files and paperwork in her garage. Why? What secrets are in the paperwork?

My eldest twin son was in hospital in Glasgow & two English nurses that worked in my sons ward told me he regularly visited a hospital in Newcastle where they once worked. They & the other nurses there despised him! They maybe didn't know everything but they told me he was extremely egotistical & obnoxious. They had been happily chatting away until his name came up then they're whole demeanor changed. They said they told him to get lost to his face. I didn't like him but i thought he was really helping people. Apparently he was helping others but i never guessed what that 'help' consisted of. That was 30 years ago. I hope he's rotting in hell for all the evil he perpetrated. Thankfully my boys & I never met him. So very sad for all of his victims. 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥

Melanie Shaw was abused by the famous in care homes, started to whistleblow, so they locked her up on false charge (arson of neighbors shed, but no fire brigade called), went to prison for a year (or whatever) then apparently she attacked another inmate (if you believe it, ) and was never released, just drugged up. Happened a few yrs ago. Her MP backed off after initially helping. Was on UKcolumn once. V sad.
I went to two of these schools, 80s and 90s.
I've been broken ever since.

Saville was a good friend of the Windsors, anyone going near the them would have been vetted so they would have known of Saville’s evil deeds. When I bring up the fact of Saville and the Windsors friendship all my royalist friends blank any discussion.

Wow John.... what a way to end ! So spot on. Ive seen in my old line of work kids n adults who went thru the care system , to be fair some turned lives around. . But many were so broken ! Addicts and dysfunctional .

Savile may have eluded earthly justice, but thankfully, there is an eternal court by which all must be judged.
This was a riveting interview, one of the best I've listened to in a long time. Mr. Wedger is unique and that's what's sad, so few brave men willing to put everything on the line to protect others. Sharing this to as many as possible over here in the US.
Quite annoying how we miss so much of what he says because of censorship. If someone is so triggered that they can't hear "sexual abuse" or "paedophile" why would they watch a video about Jimmy Savile?

I will ask you all a question that I was once asked by a councilor.
"Have you ever been nurtured by a woman? A mother, an auntie, a Grandmother, a girlfriend or wife?
I thought it was a bloody daft question at the time but as the weeks and months rolled by, it made more and more sense.
Without the nurture of a woman you can never truly become the whole you.
This one question enters my brain so many times, privately educated boys who go on to run everything are taken from their mothers at a young age and subjected to the horrors described by Jon.
Arab children taken from their mothers at a very young age to be brought up by men, it answers a lot about the problems in the Arab world.
Saville brought up by a cold hard woman.
I could go on and on but women are the thing we all need but sometimes aren't valued as they should be.
The thing - funny turn of phrase. Children need nurturing by both parents in order to grow up balanced. Excessive mothering without a father's influence is equally as toxic . That is clear with Saville
At the end when John talks about being a parent is incredible, children are just too vulnerable.
I find it hard to believe that Mi5 were so poor at vetting that they missed Saville, Rolf Harris, Clement Freud and Let these awful men get close to her majesty to pick up their gongs
