Welcome to America guy's! Im in Rhode Island. The smallest state in America! Im glad that you guy's had a good time in America! Im glad that you guy's hadba good time in America! Sending lovev& positive vibes from Rzi, USA!
I just love the British people. You folks are so down to earth. Very friendly, and very hospitable. I'm so happy that all of you enjoyed your stay here in the U.S.A. I'm so happy that you made it back home safe with fond memories of your visit. You have such a lovely family. God bless. ❤
America will miss you. We put garage or yard sale signs at street corners or entrance to a neighborhood. Tip is to use same color and wording so easy to follow. Yes Bob, I think the basket is very picnicky.
Family Freedom and FreeGang! I am sorry that I have not had the same enthusiasm in my comments the past few days. I went over to check on my mom bc she wasn't answering my calls and when I drove around the corner and into her yard I noticed her laying on the ground and when I made it to her she was already passed. I have to go to the funeral home tomorrow to take possession of her ashes. There is a lot of things to figure out. I am pleased that you guys loved your holiday to the United States. I will be back to my bubbly self in due time. Until then I will watch with delight for every post and would like to wish everyone a blessed day! #JKR
Hey Christie, thank you for taking the time to comment during what must be a very difficult time for you and your family. Please know that we are sending all of our love and condolences to you all at this time, and we are extremely sorry for your loss 💚 You are such a beautiful soul, and although we always enjoy the enthusiasm you share in your comments, there is certainly no need to apologise for any lack of it at this time. We only care about you being happy and well, and taking your time to be with your loved ones during this time. Sending you much love and best wishes, God bless you 🙏😊💚
Heinz originated in Sharpsburg, PA then moved a year later down the river to Pittsburgh, PA (Pennsylvania ). That is where I grew up. If you ever wanted to visit America again and wanted to visit that area, there is a lot of history in the Pittsburgh area. There is an amusement park called Kennywood whose mascot is a kangaroo. There is many museums and a science center and the Heinz history center. I would also recommend seeing a baseball game while you were in Pittsburgh because the scenic view of the downtown area is gorgeous and take some time to walk along the river walks down at the point where you can actually stand and look at the point where three separate rivers meet there’s also the gateway, clipper fleet, where you can actually go out on one of the boats for a sightseeing, cruise or a dinner. Also, an idea for a day trip from there would be to go up to see Lake Erie in Erie, Pennsylvania at presque isle. Lake Erie is one of the Great Lakes. I know a lot of people think of California, Florida, and New York when they are considering visiting America and those are huge touristy areas, but there are a ton of other parts of the country that are full of history, but also other interesting things. For example, in Virginia, I believe they have a town that is still set up like one of the original settlements.
Oh wow thanks so much for sharing all of this about Pennsylvania. It all sounds amazing and right up our street, and we'd definitely like to visit there one day - especially now you've given us so many great things to and do! 😊 We have some board games called Ticket To Ride and have both the great lakes and Pennsylvania maps and it always makes us think of visiting these areas, and now after what you've told us it is definitely on the list! 👍😊🇺🇸
@@FamilyFreedom Pennsylvania is actually relatively close (in USA terms, which means anything between 1 to 8 hours drive, in this case roughly 6 hours, lol) to New York City so you could easily do both in one trip. 😉
I think Poundland is actually closer to Family Dollar than Dollar Tree. Family Dollar is the one that's straying further away from $1.25 into more expensive stuff and sells more clothes and more expensive home goods than Dollar Tree. 😅 Still, it was an interesting comparison. Thanks for sharing! 😁👍
@@FamilyFreedom If you're curious, they've got an app that gives you the "specials" in each area they're in. You punch in the postal code and select a store and they tell you what is on sale. You can also see the ads online. Most of it is the stuff that they sell that costs more than $1.25, of course. 😅 I wouldn't mind another comparison video though. It's interesting to see the similarities and differences. 😊
A car boot sale would be lovely, I grew up in the East End of London, my Nan took me to Queens Road Market when I was a little girl, there's such a lovely atmosphere, it felt like she knew everyone there. I have 6 children who've all grown up loving car boot sales to. Love to you all, Ann
Great video concept guys. Loved this one and look forward to the rest in the series. I would love the car boot video. I go to the frequently. Near me theres a school that holds them once a month in their halls so its indoors, which is helpful if its raining
Dollar Tree was always $1.00 per item, and two items per $1.00 (greeting cards) until the Biden inflation walloped the USA, where it is now $1.25 - $5.00 per item.🙁
So happy you all had a nice time on your holiday in the U.S.A. It was so much fun and exciting having you here and seeing all your reactions to the stores etc. You always bring a lot of joy to your posts. I was thinking the UK would have been better with the prices so I was surprised, although I'm hearing dollar tree might be raising prices to a dollar fifty soon. I guess we will see.
So cool you're back in the UK! Hope the weather isn't too terrible down there in London! This will be so interesting. If you ever head to NZ, you should do this challenge at a place called Just Incredible. (Poundland is definitely superior). Just Incredible used to be The $2 Shop, but then their prices increased, so they changed their name. This was well before the pandemic too!
Thanks for letting us about them Ashlea, it would be interesting to know what they changed their name to after increasing prices - "Just OK"? 😂 We'd love to visit NZ one day 👍🇳🇿
@FamilyFreedom hahaha! To put it frankly, they should be called "Just Rubbish" because honestly, they don't have good products unlike Poundland! It was originally called The $2 Shop when I was a kid!
😀 Just came across your channel a few weeks ago, you are quickly becoming a favorite. :) Love what you guys are doing. There are plenty more ideas of shopping bargins to try in America in the future. There are not-for-profit organizations such as Goodwill & Salvation Army that sell any type of used item you can think of. Also we have "Flea Markets" which take place all across America on weekends, sometimes at Drive-In movie lots, others have there own spaces out in the countryside usually. Flea Markets have sort of a carnival feel to them. They are different from your car boot sales. And of course all sorts of vintage/antique stores. For garage sales, they almost always are on Fridays & Saturdays and used to advertise in newspapers, not sure where folks might be advertising for them nowadays. Enjoying your channel. :)

Fancy coming home from poundland and watching a video about poundland 😂 I found little cubby bins a few weeks ago in poundland, (idk what to call them but basically those little fabric boxes you’d put in the shelves from ikea and maybe put your kids toys in or something along those lines😭) these ones have lids attached, i bought 8, they were £3 each, which, still not a pound, but cheap. 3x8=£24??? (my maths skills are terrible, so that’s probably wrong 😂) Other than the odd bargains, i typically just go poundland for snacks, they seem to have snacks you can’t find anywhere else and they’re good for packing in my lunches. i think home bargains and b&m are better than poundland though. dollar tree seems to follow it’s name way more. dollar tree wins.
Poundland has better products it appears, especially name brands and even a nice selection of Haribo! Rare to find such a selection in a Dollar Tree. Dollar Tree stores stock inconsistent number of items, food products if a brand name are commonly near expiration, it usually trends towards cheaper, off label goods, sometimes decent finds, but often comparable to TEMU.
A pound is about $1.28, which is close to how much most things cost at "Dollar Tree" theses days.. so in effect Dollar Tree could be called Pound Tree 😁
