I've been going to soooo many events lately, but I'm having such a great time being "outside". I went to a super cute event with Suave to celebrate the launch of their Pink Lush & Coily Collection. 💕 It features the original artwork of Black female artist Ashley Price, aka PinkLomein. We help paint a mural here in Atlanta to represent the collection, which was such a dope experience. Suave also sent a professional hair stylist to my house for an at-home appointment. Ummmm... yeah, TOP TIER! 🙌🏽
One of my good friends Dre is a photographer and she turned her house into an exhibit, showcasing some of her work as well as the work of another really dope photographer, Yayri. It was so bomb to see her again, celebrate her success and see so many of my other friends who I haven't seen since pre-COVID. 🥰
I talked a little bit about not wanting to make any new friends at the moment, maximizing the items in my closet and learning that I don't have to say yes to every opportunity/invitation. Ya girl is tired and I need to do a better job with boundaries and preserving my energy for all the things that truly align with the dream girl version of myself. 🫶🏽
Also, I attended a pilates workout led by Lori Harvey and her instructor. It was cute, but the pics Lori and I took together weren't. 😂

I think everyone should make friends for as long as they want to. Where I'm at in life right now just requires focus on current and present relationships. @@BrandonR90 Thank you for sharing your perspective, Brandon! I I literally said the season I'm in requires me to nurture my current friendships more instead of focusing on making new friends. There are friends I love dearly who I have failed at keeping up with over the years and I don't see the problem with me wanting to tap more into those relationships, genuinely. I spoke from a very personal perspective and never suggested that anyone else should do the same thing. I also didn't say I never want to make new friends again. Tbh I kind of wish I would have kept that to myself. 😣 My goal was not to offend anyone as I share personal tidbits from my life. This may look different for you, but again I said "for me".

You're good people, too. ♡ Once I feel like I've accomplished the assignment in this season of my life with those who are already present, I will be open to making new friends again and we will be happy to be on each other's team. Just tired of using the word friend so loosely. Some individuals are simply associates or those I am familiar with and that is okay, too.
