Exactly! I don't have any horses anymore, and even then I never had draft horses, but I love watching them. I miss watching the broodmares and foals.

@@pamelawoodall5891 I owned and drove horses for over 40 years . I split the years between saddle horses and switched to Percheron Horses and Percheron Cross Horses.. I sold my horse farm going on 3 years ago due to my foot issues due to Type 2 Diabetes. Watching " Working Horses With Jim " keeps the memories alive for me personally.

Listening to you talk about the sweet smell of cut hay brought back a long-forgotten memory of a warm sunny day 50 years ago when my then-husband and I were on a once in a lifetime camping trip in Europe. We were driving in the mountains in Austria; the farmers were cutting hay in the valley. I remember telling myself that I would remember this moment, the sun on my skin, the gorgeous view of the valley and the wonderful smell of fresh cut hay.
Jim is quite the man for telling the world how special you are to him.

Brenda. Her Birthday is on the 30th of April, Our Anniversary is on the 2nd of May and My Birthday is on the 4th of May which for a busy week for us every year. I really enjoyed watching Jim mowing hay with Baron and Earl as team mates . They're such a great walking team and move in unison with each other . Jim is so right about Earl and Duke and they're still young 3 coming 4 year old geldings and after a couple of hours or so on the mower or rake they would tire out and would need to be swapped over for Duke's turn in the hay field. The planed and tongue and groove basswood lumber stack looks great as well.
I really enjoy your videos and am pleased to wish you happy birthday and wedding anniversary. Great to see a loving, couple working well together!

Many years ago, my neighbor used to cut, rake, bale my property to his animals as I only had dogs.... He had a rake like yours that finally died and his new one had two circular rakes that spit out the hay behind him.. It was amazing at how much better the new rake puffed up the hay to let it dry quicker.....
My wife and I just celebrated our 55th wedding anniversary on the 31st also. Congratulations and many more.

Well folks, it's good to hear about Brenda's birthday, and, Congratulations of your 38 years of marriage! Not as many couples stay married that long any more. My wife and I have celebrated our 65th last August, and we still tolerate each other. The world would be a better place if families chose well before marriage, and then made an effort to accommodate one another's foibles as time goes on.

I remember last yr. the neighbor farmer will like the close dbbl windrow to minimize travel and gobble it up, as he bales the round bales, Nice raking, maintenance and horses turning nicely. Happy birthday Brenda and Happy Anniversary. As a farmer's wife I certainly do realize her role on the farm and how much she does. We also started haying last week while we have a sunny stretch in New Hampshire, but not with horses. I wish we did use horses. Something significant broke on our ancient mower and I thought we were in a bind. Can't get parts at the tractor store, however a neighbor happened to have the part and saved the day! We only do square bales. Its a good life ~ Diane
