  • In this kitchen vlog, we're are going to be canning apple scrap recipes. This includes apple juice, apple butter, and cinnamon apple sauce.
    If you're a busy mom or dad, then canning your own food is a great way to preserve your food and have it on hand when you need it. Plus, canning is a great way to learn some basic canning techniques. This kitchen vlog will teach you how to can apple scrap recipes, and you'll be able to can everything from apple juice & apple butter to apple jelly in no time!

    Everyday in the month of November, I will be preserving something as part of a food preservation challenge I created called #NothingLeftBehindNovember Challenge. Day 6 & 7 we are canning up all the things apple scraps… apple scrap Apple juice, apple scrap apple jelly, dehydrated apple chips, apple scrap apple pie bourbon, apple scrap vinegar, apple scrap apple butter, and apple cinnamon apple sauce. Preserving apples as many ways as we can this week. I did modify the apple butter recipe a little. I get a lot of my ingredients from a food co-op called Azure Standard.     Jalapeno jelly is my favorite! I'm intrigued by the water bath canning process, it is now on my list of things to try.

      You can do it. Jelly jars will fit in a normal size stock pot so you don't even need any fancy equipment

    I wanted to try apple scrap jelly but didn’t get to it this year. Definitely next year! You need to get the KitchenAid attachment for peeling and coring. It’s a serious game changer!

      The apple scrap jelly in my vegan yogurt the other day. I added some spices to it to make it like apple pie yogurt. It was soooo good

      How far are you from Middletown CT? We might have to meet up so I can give you some. Yes, I do need the KitchenAid attachment. I fell in love when I saw yours

      @@growingagreenthumb4420 I looked up it a little while ago, it’s pretty far. Over 5 hours. Maybe someday! And that sounds so good in yogurt! I use my apple preserves for that.
