Lee Hyung-taik (이형택) beats Ferrero to win 2003 Sydney International

Some of the best moments from Lee Hyung-taik's victory over world no. 4 Juan Carlos Ferrero in the final of the 2003 Sydney International. Lee became the first Korean to win a title on the ATP Tour. He won the title as a qualifier, and even beat Andy Roddick in straight sets in the second round.

This guy was always a dangerous floater in draws. He's q great counterpuncher that absorbs pace and has a quick and effective one-handed backhand motion. It's a shame his career was derailed by knee injuries.

Yeah, he beat some good players in his time. In this tournament he also beat Roddick. And later beat guys like Murray, Ferrer, and Ljubicic.

Lee totally capitalized on Ferrero’s weak volleys in this match. Ferrero’s horrible net game and inability to put away volleys after constructing a good point is what led to him losing a lot of finals in his career.
