Evan Turner's going to be a solid pro. He might be the best overall prospect in this year's class. Can play every position on the floor. We will see if he will be able to produce against NBA defenders. They are a lot more physical than Big Ten defenders. Btw-I always wonder about the purpose of these workouts. Why is he conducting a shootaround with no defense? It's not like he will be shooting like this in a game.
@Big7Artur he did what the team needed people are starting to get accustomed to 20.0 point rookies, but some guys need a 1 or 2 years to mature and and get used to the game speed
As a Sixers fan in Philadelphia I can say that Evan Turner would be a step in the right direction for the franchise. Andre Iguodala could go to back Small Forward. Jrue Holiday would have Turner with him in the backcourt. Young may be the odd man out, if the Sixers can't trade Andre and his contract elsewhere. But I'd like to see all three of them on the court most of the time and one big, EB or Dalembert. With that said, I think the Sixers are still 2-3 years away from seriously contending.
@kristianhellasolid what they did is they video taped it until he made a good amount of shots in a row until he missed and then they edited out his misses. that is y u never see it in a continuous motion. if he was really making all those in a row it would show him moving from spot to spot and making them, instead of it being cut
@kpbernard how can you compare him to Okafor? Turner plays 3 positions and has a swiss army knife-like array of skills. Okafor coming out was an undersized defensive center with a limited post game. BIG difference
@yosukemiida you don't build your team around a ray allen, rashard lewis or a michael redd. you do build your team around a brandon roy or an evan turner
@uhti29153 The difference between the #1 overall and #2 over usually is NOT huge. It all depends on what the team with the number one overall NEEDS. If a C and a PG are both projected to go top 3 and my team needs a C and I have the #1 pick IM PICKING THE C! The next team will probably pick the PG with the #2 overall.
Evan Turner has a sweet jumpshot , but his hand is like almost on top of the ball . He has way more potenial the Wall cause he is like a 6 ' 7 PG . He can pass , Shoot , Drive , rebound , he is quick . He is the best Rookie in the league , no doubt .
DAM AND HES A WHAT SMALL FORWARD??? james better watch out, anyone wanna say he doesnt shot better than james? and he drives nicely check them out on his mix.... cant wait to see him play...
@DCSeanTaylor21 John Wall looked tired in that workout. I'm sure he went through a lot more drills than what they showed on the video. The video was only show 4:35 long. Normally when your doing drills its a few hours.
its a lot easier to hit all those shots when nobody's on you. When John Wall practices his jumpshot he has a person put a hand in his face. He's gonna be a better shooter than what people think.
@imperialracer04 so because his foot touches the line you think he has no range? this guy can nail shots from anywhere on the court, sure his guide hand makes the shot look weird but i mean it works obviously, he has a brilliant shot and his form is definetly not wack
he's not introduced with a term in basketball called "missing" a shot...i know he missed one shot that day he had to man, something tells me he's a future MJ i might be exaggerating but really how often do you see a guy hit so many jumpshots in a drill without a miss
This kid is only going to get better over time. John Wall has peaked. Wall is a decent player but not a good shooter. Evan is an old school player who is out of position on the Sixers. This kid is a point guard. I would have loved this kid to have played one more year at Ohio State. It makes me sad. Talk about a super team if Turner stayed.
his problem is he's on a bad team for him. He has to sit behind Andre Iguadola. He needs to leave Philly or he will only get starters minutes if Iggy gets hurt
dude is an absolute beast...period.
Keep on hatin. Only getting better and I love how physical he plyays. All star within the next 2 seasons.
He didn't miss a shot in this whole vid, nice. His jumpshot is MONEY
pure talent right there.
this guy is amazing
Damn! This kid is like a machine.
He is a beast!!!
it's a sexy shot man! i watch 76ers games to see this guy shoot.. and Igu dunk
Naaaasssssttyyy. He can shoot and he has great size. Still don't know why he wasn't a #1 pick. Future NBA star for sure!

holy cow he doesnt miss a single shot in the video
evan is going to be a good player for the sixers and an allstar.
lebroncash23 ha
@Big7Artur he did what the team needed people are starting to get accustomed to 20.0 point rookies, but some guys need a 1 or 2 years to mature and and get used to the game speed
Him and Jrue gonna b nice, he got handle, jumpshot and hops and d's up
"a foot on the three point line is one of the worst shots in basketball"- bob knight #justsaying
People are over here acting like its a Kevin Martin shot. Turners shot got him the #2 pick in the draft & millions of dollars. Stop hating. He's wet
By end of this season, he'll have made $100 million. Who is winning here?

He did not miss one "single" shot!!!!! Nice
been killin in the playoffs thou
wow.. 2k wasnt lying.. he really does shoot like that

I just realised I can watch a good shooter shoot all day long.
i like how he is then only one working hard in the rookie class

he keeps stepping on the line
@gggman15 that aint an nba size court/ markings.. so it would have been a 2 pointer anyway.. he was practicing mid range the whole session ;)
@kpbernard I see what you're saying, you're saying Wall has more of an upside than Turner, he does but I don't think Turner will be as bad as Okafor
@Big7Artur Why are you accustomed to 30 point rookies? Those are rare, he did his role and he did it well.
DAM AND HES A WHAT SMALL FORWARD??? james better watch out, anyone wanna say he doesnt shot better than james? and he drives nicely check them out on his mix.... cant wait to see him play...
he keeps step on the line for the 3 point workout
very interesting shooting form
@KB24forMVP08 shooting alone in a gym and shooting against top defenders in the fourth quarter are different things
shouldn't they make sure he keeps his toes off the the line on 3's? seems like that's pretty important even during a shootaround.
thats what I call SHOOTIN
weird shot mechanic (left hand in front of the ball), but it seems to work
Rookie of the Year
@DCSeanTaylor21 John Wall looked tired in that workout. I'm sure he went through a lot more drills than what they showed on the video. The video was only show 4:35 long. Normally when your doing drills its a few hours.
1:00 The net didn't move at all... that was a clean swish
@TheGApro
for sure he is, and ima 76ers fan so im happy but...i do think john wall is more fun to watch =/
no rim rattling no nothing....smoooooooth
his freethrows looks a bit a weird, but hey as long as they go in.
Great player no doubt.
nba 2k12 has made him exactly like he is in reality
its a lot easier to hit all those shots when nobody's on you. When John Wall practices his jumpshot he has a person put a hand in his face. He's gonna be a better shooter than what people think.
I don't know too many 3's in the league that got a handle like that!
Repetition BABY!!!
@imperialracer04 so because his foot touches the line you think he has no range?
this guy can nail shots from anywhere on the court, sure his guide hand makes the shot look weird but i mean it works obviously, he has a brilliant shot and his form is definetly not wack
it hurts to look at that shot
@MyWilliewonka maybe because he was shooting college threes the line barely in front of the nba 3 line
Phillllllyyyyyyy woooooo!!!!!! my bwaii right der
sixers should have a good line up next year!
Hold down to to see the world's best dribbler
@southpaw1k You obviously didn't watch any Ohio State games last season. He gets it done both inside and out.
he reminds me of reggie miller for some reason. due to the fact that miller did not become a starter until 1990. turner might be the same thing.
future nets maybe sources say philly leaning towards favors! Lets go Nets!
he's not introduced with a term in basketball called "missing" a shot...i know he missed one shot that day he had to man, something tells me he's a future MJ i might be exaggerating but really how often do you see a guy hit so many jumpshots in a drill without a miss
Did he miss a sot in between camera exchanges?
@MrChanMan23 now at this point.. DO YOU STILL THINK WALL IS OVERRATED??
Iguodolas got some company in Philly
did you make one of these for john wall?.. maybe?.. please :)
11 PPG this season and it will be higher next season...and the season after that...and so on.
@RellyTV
haha buddy shooting in practice and in a game is completely different. its so much harder to shoot in a game
@Genocideisforlovers Why not??? what team do you support???
@southpaw1k he played point on the buckeyes
Yea 76ers Turner and Iquodala
They chose John Wall or him? Looks like the Sixers are gonna have a chance next year.
smooooth
ET Sixers bound lets goo
@thesomeone48 u sure he still can? since he's technically not a rookie.
Every shot his foot goes on the line.
lol i can watch him shoot all day
@TheKevvu ??? hell naw,, that freethrow is niice
what did he say in the end ?
He can shoot like that when he is in presure?
Evan Turner is going to be Rookie of the Year. No doubt. John Wall is good but overhyped.
@TheGApro thats it
The guy rebounding the ball has the easiest job... they're all going in!
We need you to do this shit tonight LOL Beat MIAMI!!*!!
is it me or whenever his shot goes in it almost always hits the back of the rim.....
Wow. He's good. GO BUCKS!
nigga a beast
I like Evan Turner im from chicago but it is no question John Wall is 10x better he is like derrick rose with less strength
dont forget blake griffin that guy is a beast
he can't miss muahahahaha.. wait he's wide open he's supposed to do that.lol. Go Evan Turner Go SIXERS!
almost looks like a Brandon Roy Jr.
i had a feeling he was goimg to be a bust before the drsft 76ers needed a center amd passed on cousins and paul george wo
@Genocideisforlovers but we need him so i could careless
@southpaw1k ahah,sure you could
change your game sliders m8.. xO Turner for RoTY !
@Scotlank
Shit no Wesley Johnson goin be rookie of the year
@ddog49712 um well he's still making them isn't he i bet you couldn't make half those shots he was shooting.
@Big7Artur kwame brown and greg oden... nuff said
Go sixers!
He's improving tho
his problem is he's on a bad team for him. He has to sit behind Andre Iguadola. He needs to leave Philly or he will only get starters minutes if Iggy gets hurt
@MrChanMan23 haha not looking to good so far hes been in three highlight clips already and it was him getting jacked or dunked on lol
@atl2maryland err...wat sloppy release 'MJ' ??
