You are very lucky Sir! You were going out when I was coming in. It was pretty choppy out there with a few 3-5 foot rollers. I hope your video saves some ones life because you literally escaped death. I get angry and upset when I see yakers out there without drysuits, radio's and PFDs. My eldest son had a HS teammate who worked for a kayak Illinois River outfitter die on Lake Michigan 12 years ago. He brought a friend out on Lake Michigan in April and neither had their PFDs on for some reason or drysuits. They lauched out of Benton Harbor and some huge swells got them. The river guide dove in after his friend capsized in the harbor and they both drowned! I'd be thanking God, your higher power, Mother Earth or whoever you believe in because you were fortunate!
Ernesto, I know that experience first hand, it happened to me while rafting, the kayak flipped with me under, the current was so strong it was dragging me and I'm 250 lbs, and I was swallowing water, even now I get nightmares and wake up with that feeling of drowning, lost one shoe and the kayak, had to walk without a shoe on rocks, at least it was summertime. Good, the Almighty, had a different plant with you and saved your ass to take me out fishing😀 Some kajakers like Mike, the Chicity yaker and the Knudson guy say not to go when the winds are over 8/mph, because that can easily turn into a 10,11, 12 mph wind and then you're doomed. Glad you made it out alive man! 😀
@@thinbluelinefishingllc Awesome is a small word for the fun that we gonna have, I'll pay u, don't get me wrong, just a little tight on $ nowadays. Man u sure u got a big lake kayak and not a small pond one?
Lake Michigan is no joke in Waukegan. I'm glad I'm not seeing you on the news
