I love how many positives come from a single action. Healthy exercise, fuel for the fire, rejuvenated trees, increased light, unsmothered pond, medicine from bark, and perhaps willow twigs for weaving?
Terri your name suits you perfectly! I've been looking up people's names and yours Terri means "Reaper of the harvest" So true and facinating how our given names have so much relevance as to whom we are and what we do. Magical. 🕊️💚🧚🍀
Yes! I found that out years ago and found it fascinating as I am also Virgo which is associated with the grain goddess of many cultures. I never liked my name as a kid but have grown into it and feel it is me😃. It is indeed fascinating xx what about your name?
I enjoyed it ,Terri, thank you. It reminded me of my husband coppicing and chopping our trees through the years. Like you he said that it was thrice warming. Now he has gone the trees are growing skywards. We planted them all as little saplings...all except two old oaks and a few hawthorns...over 40 yrs ago. Perhaps wear some goggles when pruning. Eyes are so precious.
What a beautiful part of the world you live in! Thank you for another informative film. It has encouraged me to get out into my garden and have a good tidy up in preparation for the spring. ❤
Terri, definitely I need to follow this today. My very large bramley apple must be pruned in a big way, hopefully without hurting her,I may let my bantam s have the branches for perching. Also the birch tree must must have her limbs brought down to size..I dearly love them, but very small garden and light is needed.for some herb growing. I love the very sprightly busy but gentle qiutar. It certainly goes lovely with your working. Xxits a gorgeous sunny Sunday here.and im making notes today of the garden s needs.you have certainly made me feel more comfortable about dealing with my trees.im so grateful. I just love your films xx😊
Beautiful "earthing/grounding" time outdoors with your wonderful fur babies. Good exercise and fresh air! Life by the inch is a cinch. Thank you for blessing us all today. Much love.🕊️💚🌞
Thank you again! ❤ Those sceneries are gorgeous! And those mountains absolutely majestic, what a view! And you are shining while working, guarded by your dog-friends. Yes, there is no death! (and I know it from my own experience). Have a blessed week, everybody there! ❤
dear Terri......a hard job for a woman.........but clearing up is so important................thank you for another wonderful video.....................take care of you.....................Blessings and Greetings from Daggy,Kiel Germany☘☘☘xx
Hi dear Daggy/Yoyo, the work wasn't too hard, but I don't enjoy snipping and then putting all the small bits through the chipper, but it has to be done and will be great at the end xx
Good morning Terri, we have been getting lots of ❄️ snow. Cutting more wood and shoveling snow. Its not fun dealing with the brambles, I agree! Have a great week! xx cynthia 💚🌙🌿
Stunning sunset and the mountains look wonderful! That's a lot of basket and broom material LOL! Hope you didn't get a sore shoulder, but the robin appreciated the clearance! Cheers Terri.
Happy Sunday!!! Coppicing & Pollarding, two new concepts for me! I so adore everything about your video's that are always so full of information! More information about: preventing diseases when cutting limbs, etc & how to respectfully tend to the trees. Talking to them & explaining what you're doing is helpful. Are there prayers to say before cutting? So enjoyed seeing your beautiful babies & gorgeous scenery! Much Love from GA. , USA!☘😻🐶🌳🍂🍁
I talk to them, thanking them mainly. If there is a risk of infection the branches can be covered with tar or with something that creates a barrier. Love to you too xx
Middle of January already.... they say Time goes by faster the older you get, but good grief this is getting ridiculous! I'm only 55 and it feels like Christmas is every 6 mo ths as it is lol Cheers, have a lovely week
I have always been told that the winter is not the correct time to trim trees because it opens the tree up and makes the tree "concerned" about the damage. I guess that is incorrect?
I go with the theory that as the trees are in hibernation and the sap has gone down, there is less likelihood of infection and traditionally late winter was the time it was done. With Willows, they start flowering in February so this will give them a great boost and impetus to put up new growth. xx
Hard work isn't it ,we've been pollarding our plane tree ,which gives wonderful shade in summer ,but in winter makes the house too dark. It will be as big again by the end of summer ,they have a manic rate of growth .Still cold here xx
Those two terms your using I've never heard of. I do understand tree trimming and pruning. It's nice your having such mild weather and no snow. Love your outfit for yard work😅. Thanks lol for lovely scenerey❤Happy pruning🎉

I know! it's incredible😃 xx
Watching your videos every Sunday morning is such a treat ❤
Thank you so much for watching and glad to hear it is a treat for you. xx
Your work is so inspirational, I’m 22 and I hope one day I’ll know as much as you!!
Well if you feel inspired already, I am sure you will seek out knowledge and install it in your life. Blessings xx

You are right Marie, Lol said the same. I will get some as I go around the garden xx
What a blessing of nature you both are, Thanks.
Thank you for watching, Brian, have a lovely day xx
Good morning Terri ☀️🌿
Letting the light in, honoring the trees, using them in so many ways, everything looks wonderful. Have a great week🌼☕️🫖
Good afternoon Barbara! I am so looking forward to how it will all look - it will be much brighter . Hope your week is wonderful xx

It's a great job you are doing. We need light and a tree needs it too. 👍 🙏 ❤ Have a nice Sunday, with love from Netherlands.
We need lots of light for sure. Hope your day is going great xx
A garden is an ever-changing painting, so fun to reshape it every year!
Yes, you are right. It will be quite different this year after this quite radical intervention xx
The trees appreciate all the love and attention. Blessings xx
I think they do. I told them what was happening and I think they feel relief to get rid of all the old dried out branches xx
What a beautiful part of the world you live in!
Thank you for another informative film.
It has encouraged me to get out into my garden and have a good tidy up in preparation for the spring. ❤
Oh good. Then the spring work won't be overwhelming xx
Terri you never stop. Best to keep busy than waisting your days watch rubbish on tv. Hope your kitties are settling in. 🐱🐱🤗🧚♂️🧚♂️🧚♂️🧚♂️🧚♂️
The kittens are now in charge, ruling the roost and yes, no time for rubbish on tv xx

I think if you are careful and gentle the trees feel better and invigorated just as we do after a haircut xx

Lots of love to you - so many positives from being outside xx

You too Cynthia and keep warm xx

I didn't thank you, although my hand could feel the squeeze of the secateurs xx
Spectacular Connemara under the snow 😍. And again, the wonderful guitar when you work work work 😄. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it! xx
Perfect timing! I am looking into willow as a coppicing option. Thank you for another great video
Glad it was helpful! xx
So good to watch! We still have a few months until we can prune. But looking forward to it!! Thank you!!
Glad you liked it xx
Willow trees are my favorite.
They are lovely, so aesthetically pleasing to all the senses and so beneficial xx
Many thanks!
You're welcome! Blessings xx

With all that wood to cut an investment of a battery powered chain saw would help you a lot. At my age I can’t work with a hand saw.
The hand saw is fine for me, it is not difficult and I would be scared of a chain saw, I think they are quite dangerous. xx
Middle of January already.... they say Time goes by faster the older you get, but good grief this is getting ridiculous!

I've never known such a quick January!!! Apparently we are ascending which is why time is moving so quickly. Hope that is the case😃 xx
I have always been told that the winter is not the correct time to trim trees because it opens the tree up and makes the tree "concerned" about the damage. I guess that is incorrect?

Superwoman🦸🏻♀️💜
Just ordinary really xx
Beautiful scenery thank you for sharing, wish we could the wildfires in Californi, so much damage and people killed so tragic.
It is a tragedy and could have been avoided I think xx
Hard work isn't it ,we've been pollarding our plane tree ,which gives wonderful shade in summer ,but in winter makes the house too dark. It will be as big again by the end of summer ,they have a manic rate of growth .Still cold here xx
It is a long old job for sure. I think that as these haven't been pruned before that they will also have a great rate of growth xx
I would get some protective glasses I also got stabbed in the eye by a Yucca it was agony
It was agony for me too, I will get some - we have some!!!!
Always lovely to watch.Your doing some good functional fitness there.
Workshop =work

Thanks Yvonne👍 - I suppose the terms relate to types of pruning xx
