The old Denafrips Ares II 12th moved to the the living room (2ndary system) hooked up to 2 Denon Heos 5 speakers with builtin amp and an Airplay2 streamer.
My speakers/preamp/amp have always been dead silent even when I put my ears up against the speakers in both.

dont youre amps get hot one on top of the other.. they wont last that way. give them some air.

Yeah, I should but I'm too cheap to get a proper rackmount but instead I repurposed my kid's bookshelf and nightstand (stack the 4 amps on top).
I put the hottest amp on top (Arcam AVR5); the 3 repurposed Denon receivers below are just warm and they power the 4 Atmos&rear surround speakers.
Instead of spending my budget on a rackmount, I focused my budget on the equipments that make the front LCR speakers sound better for vocalists/dialogue (speakers&stands, subwoofers, Arcam AVR5, 2 Parasound amps and preamp in the bookcase, Eversolo streamer, Denafrips DAC/DDC, RCA interconnect cables, room acoustics/shades.)
(Also, I'm retiring in 10 years and will move across the country so I don't want to accumulate furniture)
As for the 2 Parasound amps inside the bookcase, I keep them cooler by installing a fan in the back of the bookcase that only automatically turns on/off for movies (I don't mind the fan noise during movies because the projector's fan is louder) when the Arcam AVR5 goes on/off.

Yes, but for movies the projector's fan is noisier and hides my little fan's sound. My little fan automatically turns on/off only for movies (controlled by the master/slave surge protector by the Arcam AVR5)
But for 2-channels music via the Eversolo, the projector is off and I would be able to hear my little fan, so my little fan is off when I listen to music.
