Nice video, lots of good music in there as well that kinda gets ya in the mood to try some new stuff. If i have any criticism to offer its that each game gets so little coverage in compilation videos like these that its really hard to make any sort of assessment on them. Maybe its a personal preference, but i think 10-15 seconds per item would do it a lot more justice. Its great to see game names included in the video, as well as time-linked annotations below the video though. :)
Thanks for the reminder :) (Unfortunately I noticed the missing name when I've already uploaded the video... however I have just added the name as an annotation now.)
3:12 Running with Rifles - best game I played since a while! so much fun in coop with a few dozens of human players. There are some nice little games in your 5 minutes, good job.
OH MAN, this video is just what I was looking for. I was hoping to find some games that are somewhat a cross between a shmup and an exploration adventure, and a few of these seem to hit the bill. Thanks, PP!
Good to hear that you like the video :) About your constructive criticism: I think the 5 secs per game works for this video because that way all the games fit in a handy 5 minute format ;) However you are right that 10 secs would show more of the games but I think that those 5 secs show enough to give a good first impression.... and based on that people can check out the related trailer or further gameplay videos if they should be interested :)
2003 to be exact. (It's the only game that was not released in 2012/2013... I mentioned that on the bottom of the pages that are linked in the above description field ;)
It's true that I haven't uploaded any videos since November last year. The reasons are that I'm working currently on a few other projects (see PixelProspector. net for all projects) and that these compilation videos take a good amount of time to create... However PixelProspector. com is still regularly updated... :) Due to these things it will probably take a while until the next video is uploaded...
Distance, Syder Arcade, Cradle, Toki Remake, Tower Climb, The Red Solstice, Contrast, Driftmoon, Influx, Project Temporality, Dungeon Dashers, Blood Of The Werewolf, A Hat in Time, Cloudbuilt, Chasm, Teslagrad, Frozen Endzone [wow it's like Dead Ball Zone meets Frozen Synapse], I already knew about Road Redemption [finally!] and a few others. I often wish I had more options for new games because I'm not interested in most big releases, so this is really appreciated. :)
Hmm.. good point about the 5 minute video thing, five is a good number.. for some things. But think of it this way: If you had done 10 second clips, then you would have had two videos. With two videos you could post twice as often! :P In all seriousness though, its good to see you posting videos again. Pixel Prospector tended to cover some fairly good titles in the past, its a shame that the channel has been on such a long hiatus. Will we be seeing more solo game content posting in the future?
loved the list, I've played like 1/4 of em, and all fantastic... Maybe 1 or 2 that I dont like a lot. But overall awsome, specialy the last phoenix. I loved it
I always lose a bunch of money whenever this channel releases a video. Don't get me wrong, I love having all the new games. It's just being able to see actual gameplay is so much better than seeing just titles.

Thanks so much for your effort! I saw around 10 games here that sparked my interest.

Very nice compilation. Voted for some and downloaded some demos.
Nice to hear that you like it :)
You are right, the original "Knytt" and "Knytt Stories" are a bit older... however "Knytt Underground" was released in 2012 for PSN and 2013 for PC.
Nice selection!
Great! :) Which games?
Distance, Syder Arcade, Cradle, Toki Remake, Tower Climb, The Red Solstice, Contrast, Driftmoon, Influx, Project Temporality, Dungeon Dashers, Blood Of The Werewolf, A Hat in Time, Cloudbuilt, Chasm, Teslagrad, Frozen Endzone [wow it's like Dead Ball Zone meets Frozen Synapse],

Thanks for the video! Exactly what I was looking for!

Awesome to see Assault Android Cactus @ 2:47 :)
The quality of indie games has really come on in the last few years
loved the list, I've played like 1/4 of em, and all fantastic... Maybe 1 or 2 that I dont like a lot. But overall awsome, specialy the last phoenix. I loved it
I like that they snuck that game maker tutorial in there.
Nice List. Made me stop & go browse for lot interesting games
The one that wasn't named at 4:17 looks like a game called qrth-phyl, for those playing at home.
Which I now see is in the description. Carry on.
Whoa, great video and great games!!
Good list I actually want to play some of the these games.
Awesome list! :DDDDDDDD
1:56 Refer to "Liar Liar"; "The Pen is Blue"
Ugh, now I want to buy all of them and play them! (Time/money, dang you!)
Chasm at 04:38 looks really sweet! Too bad it's not even out yet. I was just about to buy it. =(
How do I google the game "Make"? O-o
what do you mean by fresh?
game of the 0:02?

i liked the rawbots but i think it is not released yet
Fantastic! :D
The 3 games I when to check on never came out. I have some crazy luck cause I know alot of these games did get made.
Are any of these free?
So many awesome games and less time :(
A Hat in Time, FUCKING VOTE FOR IT!
Crimsonland was released in, like, 2004!!!
Hasn't KNYTT existed for at least 4 years now?
Son of Nor is the best one!
A Hat in time :)
Yaaay ur back!!
Woulda been nicer if there had been a little more footage of the games. Maybe 50 games in 5 minutes would have been better.
A remake of Toki :O
Which has yet to materialize.
Epicness
for me 80% of the games are shooting and fighting
I prefer this to be 10 minutes, but to have actually see something from the games. I mean the clips are too short.
this vid lacks project awakened :/
the people need to know about it, so it can be funded....on the third freakin try...goddamnit!
you mean 6 minutes no really if its 4:00 its 5 minutes!!
These previews could've each been 4 seconds longer. I'd rather have a more informative video even if it's not so short.
green light br0
Like it, but I'm not a fan of spaceship/gradius games. And more than 50% of the list is about spaceship games.
Kids take advantage of these
google this: Make game verge
