長い歴史を持つ医術で名を馳せた村があった。その村で生まれた子は、代々受け継がれてきた医学の知識を継承することが伝統になっていた。ここで妹のリアと一緒に育てられた。複雑な授業の日常で大変だったけれど、そんな中私たちには毎日の楽しみもあった。よく晴れた夜は村の近くの山で一緒に星空を眺めに行っていた。この夜もそんな夜だった。美しい星空では時々流れ星が現れていた。しかし、その時に見た流れ星は何かしら違っていた。それらは奇妙な色をしていて、近づくにつれ、だんだんと大きくなっていた。
隕石の墜落する場所がここであると気づいた私は、体を張ってリアを庇った。やがて音が止み、再び目を開けると、恐ろしい光景に固まった。火の中かから出てきたのは複数の結晶の魔物だった。奴らは見境なく破壊し、殺し回っていた。リアを連れて逃げだ足した。圧倒的な力だけでなく、奴らの体から噴き出している結晶の粒子にかかってしまったら、徐々に体が結晶に変わりたちまち奴らの一員となる。これをのちに「結晶の呪い」と呼ぶ。
居場所もそこにいた人たちも何もかも失い、私たちに残されたのはお互いだけ。それでもリアさえ一緒にいてくれればこれから何が起ころうとも乗り越えられる気がした。しかし、リアはすでに、感染していた。私たちは逃げ続けた先にあったシェルターに避難してリアの治療をしていたが、それは時間稼ぎにしかすぎなかった。なんにせよ、その病気には治療法なんて存在していなかった。生きる者を結晶化し魔物にする病気など前代未聞だ。それでも私は諦めなかった。「リアは絶対に直してみせる」とここで誓った私は、研究に没頭し始めた。しかし現実はそれほど甘くはなかった。どれだけ頑張ってもリアの状態は日に日に悪化していき、時間がどんどん迫ってくることを思い知らされてくる。どんな手を使ってでもできるだけ早く研究を進めなきゃいけなかった。
(注射)これが結晶の呪いを最も手っ取り早く理解する方法だった。自分の体を使って何度も実験を行った結果、ついに特効薬の調合の仕方を閃いたが、それを作り出すためにはこの世にもう存在していない物質が必要不可欠だった。研究に明け暮れる日々。ますます結晶化していくリアの体に私の心は絶望に満ちていた。そんな中、一冊の古びた本が私の目に止まった。この本にはとある伝説の話が書いてあり、それによると人類が想像できるあらゆる物質を生み出せることができる宝石が存在するという。
迷うことなく私は宝石を見つけ出す旅に出た。その居場所を特定する途中ではたくさんの魔物がそこらじゅうに溢れかえっていた。無差別に奴らと戦えるわけもなく、私は身を潜めながら徐々に進んだ。結晶に侵食されていく私の心と体は、少しずつ奴らの一員となりつつあった。伝説は本当だった。その証拠に、私の目の前に浮かんでいたのは想像の宝石だった。この宝石さえ使えればリアのことを救うことができる。すぐさま私はその場で特効薬の調合を始めた。想像の宝石を使って足りない物質を生み出した。しかし、効果を実験する機会は無論なかった。体にどんな影響が起こり得るのかは想像もつかなかったが、確かめる方法はたった一つだけ。
体から結晶が崩れていく姿に感動した。これまで諦めずに戦ってきたことがようやく報われた気がした。完成した特効薬を持って急いでリアのところに戻って行った。しかし私が戻ると、待ち受けていたのは人気のない部屋だった。看護師たちからは同情の視線とともに、彼女の持ち物を渡された。その中には、私に宛てた一通の手紙があった。リアは自分の体が特効薬が完成するまでにもたないことにすでに気づいていた。私が必死で彼女を救い出そうとする姿に彼女は元気そうに振る舞っていたが、結晶化が完成するまでには間もなかった。すでに手遅れ。「あぁ、なんて虚しい旅なんだろう。唯一のたった一つの大事な命を救えず、私は一体なんのために…。(笑い)許さない。絶対に、許さない！」
(復讐)これからどうする。うるさい。誰だ。

im so sorry for the both of them, it made my heart crush hearing that Lia got infected. I was relieved when I heard veza finally found a cure, only to realise he was too late. The feeling of sorrow was stuck in my body, but I'm glad he was able to get his revenge in the end.
