MASSIVE UNDERGROUND Yellow Jackets Nest Dug up and REMOVED! Wasp Nest Removals
Вставка
- Опубліковано 27 чер 2024
- In this video I remove a MASSIVE yellow jacket ground nest from a client's property! This species is the Eastern Yellow Jacket (Vespula maculifrons), and this nest had around 2.500 individuals inside!
There are many silly ways to kill a yellow jackets nest, but this is a professional wasp nest removal/extraction, and the ONLY professional yellow jacket nest extraction content on UA-cam.
Once the nest is removed, and Im finished appointments for the day, I bring the nests home, and fed them to my Emus, Chickens, and Rhea!

Ha! I’m a biology major and I studied for a year under a professor who specialized in bees, wasps and hornets. He was often asked by younger students how he felt about others referring to his subject to study as “pests”. He would just laughed and say “any animal can become a pest if it inconveniences a person, or worse, puts people in danger.”
I love that you not only get rid of dangerous nests in an entertaining way but also educate your audience, it shows you have a lot of respect for these remarkable insects! That’s an easy sub from me, much love from Canada ❤
Those close up shots show how angry they are when you knock on their door! I’d hate to be someone mowing the lawn or stepping on the grass nearby and get attacked. After watching your videos I taught my niece and nephew to watch out for wasp nests in the grass- if they see wasps flying and landing in the grass there could be a nest there and to stay far away from it and tell an adult.
Excellent Uncling informing the kids of the dangers and to be mindful!
@@HornetKingOfficial I know it’s impossible to tell from my username, but I’m actually an aunt 🤣 They love to watch your videos, it’s a great learning experience for them without the risk of getting stung plus they like the birds and squirrel. Heck I got the whole family watching including my dad. He had a Bald Faced Hornet nest about 40 ft up in his tree that the exterminator told him it’s too high to get to but “don’t hit the tree with your ride on mower or they will come down on you like hellfire” 🤣 The season came and went, the nest died off and fell down sometime over the winter and nobody got stung. Keep up the good work 😄
@@HornetKingOfficialthese ugly stinging suckers can go fly into a bug zapper.
I work in landscaping and have gotten attacked by wasps three separate times at the same property. Once I got stung right below my eyebrow, I told my supervisor I wasn’t coming back to that house until they called an exterminator 😅
@@arianamauery9281 that is really ignorant of them to leave the nests there, they could be sued if someone got seriously hurt or killed by those wasps. I don’t blame you for not going back until they are gone.
It's always so satisfying to see a swarm exiting the nest get caught up in the suction like that. Keep up the great work HK!
Thank you!
you must have the healthiest birds and squirrel on the planet
Bet he gets the healthiest eggs too!
@@zulumax1 Probably way better than store bought eggs.
My older brother found a wasp nest today at his school in Oklahoma
And the wasps were alive
@@Robloxfan12369Bro we just found a hornets nest outside my highschool and I live in Oklahoma 👁️👁️😰
Congratulations on 1 million subscribers. You truly are King of the hornets!!!!!!🎉
Thank you!
@@feetyeet8538very nice, feetyeet!
😇

Nobody really cares mate. This is a hornet channel not a religious channel.
@@feetyeet8538 Bunch of nonsense
Thank you for describing and identifying the different nests. Now I’ll know just who’s building around our house.😊
Am I the only one that finds the vacuum sucking up parts of the nest satisfying?
Something I've noticed in all your videos: your birds look amazingly healthy. Their gloss and just general overall condition is outstanding. I've never seen healthier looking chickens, emus and rheas. Must be the mostly all natural diet they get fed! It shows. Also: they are adorable, as is your talking to them. Digging all the nest videos too, and the information, good stuff.
SO satisfying, hehe! I had an in-ground one years ago too, becoming dangerous for my dog, cats, & pedestrians (front yard, right by the sidewalk). I used one of those foaming agents, an hour or two before sundown: cured the problem in one application. But I like the vacuum too, and feeding the eggs to your birds, lol!
I'm always so impressed with you Brett, and your ability to predict the hornet's behaviors. It's crazy
Thank you!
@@HornetKingOfficial that's a mighty fine name you ave there ;) love the channel keep up the good work
I really enjoyed the Eastern vs Southern vs German wasp nest comparison. Great to see sweetie has got her appetite back.
Watching these nests is like looking under nature's rug. Cant get enough of this.
Watching all the yellow jackets being vacuumed up is really satisfying.
I’ve had an extreme phobia of wasps & hornets my whole life. Since I started watching your videos last year that fear has turned into interest. I still don’t like when they’re buzzing around me but I don’t freak out and run away anymore, now I just slowly dodge them while trying to identify them and see what they’re doing. Thank you!
I completely relate to this comment
The best way to counter a phobia is to be informed, so it's nice to see that you conquered your fear! :D
Absolutely love when you show and explain the difference between different types of wasps!! Not much voice over kinda missed it!!! Love your content ❤❤❤❤
Man I remember when this channel was at 500 subs, it's wild how fast you've grown! Congrats on one million!
Thank you!
Makes me think of Beavis and Butt-Head mistaking the wasps nest for a beehive in a hair-brained scheme to make honey.
Them crawling out of there was the stuff of absolute nightmares.
It’s so satisfying to see them all getting sucked into the vacuum before they get a chance to swarm.
I cannot get enough of your videos! I will binge watch for days. I used to HATE wasps, but i have grown a massive appreciation for them thanks to your videos. Thanks for being you!
It'd be really awesome to see a time-lapse of a nest being built. I know you have a couple re-homed/rescue hives including that one you put in the box with the viewing area - would love to see some more stuff on that
I literally made a 2 hour long video of EHs in a box with a time lapse of the nest building over the months. 😉
@@HornetKingOfficial It was a very interesting video. They can build so quickly!
I almost feel sorry for them after all their hard work to make that nest. ALMOST. Also love seeing all the rocks at the bottom they’ve excavated around. So interesting
Love your channel! I watched a few videos and then bought a suit and extracted a German Yellow Jacket nest from inside my wall three weeks ago using your method. 100% effective. Keep it up!
I have been watching you for many years and I never get tired of watching! Still so fascinating and interesting!! Keep on doing what your doing, over 1million folks can't be wrong! 😊🐝🐝🐔🐓
Your videos are always fascinating and frightening. Congrats on 1 million subscribers!
In the 50's/60's my neighborhood hosted Andrew Jensen, an Avian Expert and farmer, who had 2 emus, plus 1000's of other birds. I grew up putting my arm around an emus neck that was taller than me. I grew up eating duck egg scrambles with sharp cheddar. Life was great back then.........🐧
It's so incredible to see every time, that the wasps have such a dense population. The relatively small space, or seemingly small from the outside, yet when you keep hammering on the ground they keep swelling up in wave after wave after wave.
I know that this nest is huge, but, it doesn't seem to be able to hold those massive swarming numbers. So dense.
Yay, quality content on a Sunday evening :)
Keep up the good work!
Thank you!
Wow. Pretty big nest there. Your animals at home will have a feast.
Ok, tucked up in bed ready for sleep, thought I would watch a vid on waspy things, lights out, then a fly flew past my ear, crikey that was close and I couldn’t watch any more, I thought the real things had come to get me!!! Daylight viewing only I think !!!! 🤣🤣🐝🐝 🇬🇧🐶
I love watching these videos when I’m up late and leaning something new every video. These removals are so satisfying! Also, love your birds!
I've seen every video and they are all incredible. Your editing and voice overs are the best and very informative informative great work you put on your channel very addictive. Top respect from the uk
Thank you!
Congrats on the million, HK!!! Always great to see the little channels grow and find their people.
Wow, your Rhea has grown so much bigger already!
This video shows very well how just laying vacuum on its side and waiting is. Swarming out of the hole and disappearing moment they try to fly. Patience is the way to go!
Congratulations on 1 million subs. 💫💫💫
Thank you!
Great close-up shots!
Hello, wonderful videos. We live in Canada on a farm. We were inundated with wasps nests everywhere. Even in the walls of the barn. Could you do a video for how to prevent wasps from making nests.
Oh, so that's why the initial parts of a new nest always looks different from the rest of the layers! First they prepare the queens' "rooms" and then they build around that part! Wow. Thanks for the info!
Amazing how they can remove so much dirt to make space for the nest!
It really is!
@@HornetKingOfficial Do the foragers do the dirt removal? Does that all have to be done before the nest gets started? (I imagine they excavate more as the nest grows?) Does the queen pick the location of the future nest? So many questions! Fascinating stuff! Keep up the videos!!!
That's my favorite part of the videos when you feed the birds
I was hit by a swarm of these at work a few months back. Chased me prolly 100 feet, my coworkers told me they seen the yellow jacket swarm chasing me and behind them was a swarm of some type of wasp! they were literally working together. I didn't believe one of em at first but others said the same exact thing. 55 stings in total. The yellow jackets caused way more pain and burning than the normal black wasps did but the black wasps caused a ton of swelling and the pain persisted longer than the yellow jacket stings. For context, i was using a trimmer on some tall grass near an abandoned house.
Worst pain i've ever experienced, would not recommend.
Thank you for the educational video! I never knew there were 3 different species of Yellow Jackets. I've been stung by every kind I'm sure.
I love your videos! Your birds are beautiful too. I want an Emu 😊
Thank you! Doris better let me ride her soon 🫣😅
Very nice video, I didn't start watching these until I got stung last week 😂
BRILLIANT as usual thanks debbie
1 million subs ! Congrats! Thanks for the nest comparison.
I love watching your videos. I finally had to hire a company to make sure that hornets and wasps didn’t invade my territory since I’m allergic
Thank you very much for the video HK I only seen one yellow jacket nest in my life and it was at the base of a tree. My friend got stung messing with them. I stayed back a good 40 ft.
Congrats on 1 million! You really are the King of Wasps and Hornets! Well deserved sub count and title!
7:02 I think I see a wasp right after it hatched?!
Thank you!
Dude I love these videos so much! I’m so happy I subscribed

Love the ground nests. Thanks! Essex, ON, 🇨🇦
Awesome camera angles on this one!

No shots of the squirrels!? Are the squirrels still around? I love seeing the squirrels because I love how you talk to them! Squirrely squirrel!
IMO ground nest removals are the best. The sheer numbers as you slap the ground always amazes me
I really like your videos! keep the great content coming! Thanks for the share!
Thank you! Glad you enjoy them!
Love these videos. So informative. Thanks.
Very interesting!! Enjoyed it!!!
Our mild winter allowed for a lot of queens to survive. My friend had five nests in his small yard, and found another across the street.
Congratulations on getting to 1 million subscribers! Here’s to 1 million more!
Thank you!
I like it when you say “ look at the fury”
Great job mate! 😃👍 Pick up your chooks & givem all a pat for me will ya! And Doris & Sweetie & Skwiwwrell & Wrreah der rhea too!😊 Maybe just give the big 'chooks' a pat then! Love em!

A million subs man. You are going gangbusters Bret. Congratulations. When the plaque arrives be sure to show us a video of you unboxing it.
Thanks for sharing
Another Awesome video. Congrats on the 1 million subs I remember way back when you didn't even have a 100K. lol You have worked hard and deserve it my friend!
Ran over one of those while mowing my yard one day. Felt a little “pinch” on the back of my leg, then another, and another, after the 4th or 5th, I realized what happened and ran like an Olympic sprinter! A cup of gas down the hole was the only option I knew of, and it definitely worked!
Queen: he's here. Send everyone.
Soldier: but your grace....
Queen: EEEEVVEEERRRYYYOOONE.
Very satisfying one.
Ground nests are my favorites!
CONGRATS ON 1 MIL 🥳, Its so satisfying watching all the hornets get sucked up when they take flight lol
Neat how you can see the entrance hole thru the envelope once you pulled the brood comb stack out
Fascinating 💯
I love how theirs always a kitty pile of cleaned rocks
Really enjoy your videos….
"Protect the Queen!"
"Which one is the queen!?"
"I am!"
"No you're not."
Cool!
I love happy endings 😂
THATS what nailed me yrs ago (two separate times) & WHY I'm so allergic to stings. They kept coming & coming. Now, I see why. 🤔
1 million subs. We're one big ol' hive, ladies and gentlemen. Also congratuations Hornet King!
I like all your videos
Whooooo! 1 million!
Excellent video
Thank you!
@@HornetKingOfficial you're welcome 😊
I have a big underground nest at my job I've done everything to get rid of but they keep coming back. Who knew a bee suit and a shop vac was all I needed 😂
The sounds of wasps rattling in the hose of a vacuum cleaner, totally my type of ASMR
You need 2 vacuums. And possibly stronger ones as well.
The amount of hornets that came out of there was crazy
Does anyone else feel something crawling on them every time you watch a Hornet King video? 😂
