- All tools and blades are lockable. The inserts of the wire cutter are compatible with those of the ROXON Phantom. "SPLITMAN" does not offer these inserts for sale. The wire cutter will only properly cut hard wires. The pliers are spring loaded, the knife, saw and scissors are good. Note that the openwork handles allow you to quickly identify the blades.
The sheath is not designed to accommodate the bit kit, it is awful.
The packaging without any indication or mark signals the noname that Chinese manufacturers stupidly abuse. Thus acceptable, even innovative products are lost in the jungle of Chinese distribution platforms.
It is clear that some Chinese manufacturers have launched an offensive, certainly awkward, but an offensive all the same against Leatherman (Wave / Surge) with this model but also with the OZARK TRAIL Multiforce (or Mossy Oak) ou last Bibury.
For its price, the GHK6 offers excellent value for money.
Tous les outils et lames sont verrouillables. Les plaquettes du coupe-câble sont compatibles avec celles du ROXON Phantom. "SPLITMAN" ne propose pas à la vente ces inserts. Le coupe-câble ne coupera correctement que les fils durs. La pince est sur ressort, les couteau, scie et ciseaux sont bons. A noter que les manches ajourés permettent d'identifier rapidement les lames.
L'étui n'est pas prévu pour accueillir le bit kit, c'est archi nul.
L'emballage sans aucune indication ni marque signale le noname dont abusent stupidement les fabricants chinois. Ainsi des produits acceptables, voire innovants, se perdent-ils dans la jungle des plateformes chinoises de distribution.
Il est clair que certains fabricants chinois ont déclenché une offensive, certes maladroite, mais une offensive quand même contre Leatherman (Wave/ Surge) avec ce modèle mais aussi avec le OZARK TRAIL Multiforce (ou Mossy Oak) ou le dernier Bibury.
Pour son prix, le GHK6 offre un excellent rapport qualité/prix.

Overall seems like a nice tool, but bits and wire and belt cutters seems disappointing :\.
I own 2 New Surges cause i like them alot lol. But thats a nice tool, leatherman has patents on the design im assuming. But nice Multitool, id like a couple of those interior tools on my Surge. Try going forward with the can opener, thats how it should go.
Do these multitools come with the warrantee leatherman has? Just curious thats all. I sent in a surge for a simple fix on my scissors. And they replace them with new one? Leatherman should listen to their customers and make a custom tool swap option. Then leatherman will be locked in.

Wow you really put it through the test thanks I just ordered one before I saw this video from wish and now I want to cancel it I was in the process of sending my Leatherman surge back to Amazon because it's kind of big for my hand I also have the free P4, but Im thinking to keep the surge after seeing this video what do you think?
The split joint of a handle broke just by opening and closing the tool... So obviously it's not expensive... If you want a serious tool that will last for years.... yes keep your Surge! :)

Also, till i save enough for surge, i need a multitool. Can't buy multiforce in India, nextool flagship pro don't have locking blade anymore so, only splitman ghk6 remains with locking Blade and replaceable wire cutters.

There is the identical chinese tool of "roadlike" brand(20$ +/-) Good tool for this price...I have their pocket mini-knife(75mm length, six tools, five raws, 14-15$).Maybe one manufacturer with different brands...This is China!!!

I can see that the bits are very cheap poor quality bits that I've owned many of, and the fit of the bit adapter is horrible.
As a teenager I had a cheap $4 multitool I got at a discount store and the bit adapter fit much better than this.
That adapter even fit onto the philips driver of my leatherman fuse much better than it does in the multitool it was made to attach to.

Non. Leatherman is second to none.
But i've seen some leatherman with broken blades. Hard to prove the difference.

My opinion is that this tools are cheap as same as quality..... Does the woodsaw cuts anything? I prefer/want to spend right amount of money to have quality tools.... This tools are not meant to be abused o use it strongly.... These are toys just to play with like you are doing....

What if they changed 100$ then how would you know the tools are cheaply made. Sounds like you believe the more you pay the better the quality which isnt true at all. Have you handled this tool? Have you used it? Torture tested it? I haven't but I can guarantee it could do a fair amount of work. Look at the pocket knife Industry. Some Chinese manufacturers are making outstanding quality knives for sub 30$ with d2 blades. I have benchmade, spidercos, cold steels, and other higher priced knives but at work I carry a ganzo fh21. 25$ with quality that surpasses some knives I have that cost 60$ plus. Shure the benchmades and spidercos are better quality. But the quality isnt 8× better but they cost 8x as much. If over paying is what makes you have faith in a product the buy all means go right ahead. More examples of great quality "cheap Chinese " products can be found in the flashlight industry. Chinese manufacturers like thrunight,wowtac,emisar and many more are making extremely bright and extremely durable flashlights with incredibly high quality for less than half of the American made manufacturers and the quality and output of the Chinese brands exceeds the two to three times as expensive American made lights.
I've carried a Leatherman since 1983 when I bought one at the Clothing Sales Store at Ft. Sill OK. I STILL have that one but now carry a Wave that I bought in 2005. I have been doing residential, commercial and industrial maintenance most of my life besides my time in the Army. I use my Leatherman numerous times every day and over the years have had only 2 break from doing THE SAME THING...prying a nail out of a stud. I recently updated to the bit set and extension after the original sheath wore out. It truly is how you use it and this thing is a TOOL. I also carry a Squirt that I bought at Radio Shack so long ago that the Leatherman embossing on the sides is gone...

Well the video is fairly informative. You do not demonstrate usage of the bit kit that comes with this multitool. Overall this is a decent multi-tool and is comparable to the Ozark Trail multi tool and even has a similar price point of $30 roughly. Other than that, I think it's presumptuous to claim that Leatherman is threatened by this budget multi-tool. I highly doubt this caused much if any eye brow raise from the Leatherman group. The scissors were very impressive with this tool. The overall fit and finish as well as tolerances are lackluster. Acceptable for the price. You struggle to open cans, and the v cutter was disappointing. There is no dedicated bit driver on the tool. It appears that the adapter in the kit fits over the phillips driver and then you can fit the 1/4 inch bits into the adapter for more applications. The sheath this tool comes with is terrible. Leatherman's updated cheapest sheaths are superior to this one. The saw and file on this look very nice but they don't appear to cut very well. It's not clear from the video what the warranty is on this tool or how their customer service compares to Leatherman. I reside in the USA. I know Leatherman's warranty is a big selling point. I also know that Leatherman's excellent warranty doesn't extend globally. So I understand this is not as big of a factor for consumers in other countries.
I showed that the adapter fits on the Phillips screwdriver, lockable, and there is no need to do a screwing demonstration. What you're saying about Leatherman, of course. I am simply pointing out, albeit in a somewhat provocative way, that certain Chinese manufacturers, identified or not, are rapidly approaching the standards sought by users in terms of multi-tools. And that it won't be long before the competition becomes very serious. For $ 20, you hardly expect an international guarantee, of course, and at this price, you don't need it :)
@@diezelle57 Competition is good in a free market. Lack of competition is how you get high prices and stagnant product offerings. I think a bit demonstration would have been good. Particularly I would be interested in seeing if the retention system. Be it magnets or wire springs is strong enough to retain the bit and adapter to the Phillip's driver if you use a serrated Phillip's bit or other bit type that bites the fastener head. When I use multi tools this is a frequent problem. The bit stays in the fastener head and not the driver.
Probably had a commercial disrupt my thoughts when I was composing my comment. You definitely did show the bit adapter briefly. Perhaps you should compare this multi-tool to the Ozark Trail MultiForce or the Gerber Suspension copy by Ozark trail. Thanks for posting all the nice ASMR videos. They help me go to sleep. 😁
@@mackjones7688 The adapter has a magnet on both sides, it's shown on the video. If the bit gets stuck on the screw impression, just use the pliers for extraction. I don't know of any bit adapter on a multi-tool that has a lockable retention system. OZARK TRAIL "Suspension": no tool lock, I don't see the point of getting it. Especially since there is the GANZO G302. Comparison between OZARK TRAIL Multiforce and BIBURY 16-in-1 and SPLITMAN GHK6, why not ... Regarding the Chinese competition, I advise Chinese manufacturers to do in quality and innovation, so to increase their prices, like RUIKE which clearly competes with VICTORINOX, and to identify themselves clearly (to make a name for themselves by a website) as ROXON or GANZO.
@@mackjones7688 Actually I think it's due to competition that Leatherman have been hiking their prices so much in recent years, to elevate themselves above the rest. I watch a lot of yt videos on multitools and knives and am always astonished to hear - or read in comments sections - how a couple of years back people were buying Wingmans/Sidekicks for $25/30, Rebars for $50, Squirts for $20 and Gerber MP600s for $40. Also a lot of people in the US are complaining about the recent price hikes. Still I do like Leatherman, but both of mine (Squirt PS4 and Rebar) were well below the market price, as they are classed as ''seconds'' due to having had an engraving overwritten, which makes zero difference to the tool and doesn't even look bad, it's just a machined out rectangle on the outside surface. Branding is still completely visible too.
@@simonh6371 Competition saturates the market and lowers prices generally. I believe that taxes, inflation, the weakening of the dollar in general, consumer attitude, as well as warranty claims are all factors that are the likely culprits for the substantial price hikes of Leatherman products. My first Leatherman was a Super Tool 300. I bought it for $70. Now a Leatherman Wave + retails for $100, a Rebar for $70, and a Wingman is $50. I bought my first Wingman with a Style CS in a Christmas bundle for $20.
