Please accept some well-intentioned advice from someone who has developed debilitating dermatitis on my hands...wear nitrile gloves when using any epoxy or other chemicals. Even water feels like burning acid to my hands. Everyday tasks are either very painful or not possible due to swelling and broken skin. It's terrible.

I worked in industry where epoxy resins were used in bulk. Many people used epoxy with no problem… for years… and then suddenly they become allergic to the resins 😮
and it seems to be permanent.😢
I use it at 64 , but I power ventilate and use liquid glove (glove in a bottle) as a skin protection barrier. Even if the smell isn’t strong it doesn’t mean the fumes and allergies can still be problematic.
Your advise is solid and sorry that you are affected.❤
Giving polite safety concerns is part of being a good and caring person . most adults readily appreciate it , but some will laugh … until they are affected or see it first hand.
It’s far easier to ignore , but being affected personally one feels a duty to inform.

@@garyoverman4393 I got this stuff on my hands before I started using epoxy. Mine is from cleaning supplies and barbering. Some people seem to be able to tolerate chemicals better than others. But once you have it, there is no cure. The best you can do is "manage" it.

      Ugh. That happened to me😢
I was fine working with resin for YEARS… literally YEARS.
Then I developed horrendous dermatitis that has affected every aspect of my life. I can’t even pull up my own pants without pain.
Awful. I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy. I have spent hundreds upon hundreds of dollars on bandaids, creams, doctors, dermatologists, more creams, etc.

Hey, injustice thought I would let you know how I got all the bubbles out of that mould…. I got them at Christmas to make wreaths and I happened to remember this video and how you got a couple of bubbles in the tips… well, I sprayed 99.9% isopropyl alcohol into the mould before I poured my resin… making sure each crystal had the alcohol in the tips… after I poured the resin, I took a long tip paint brush and went through each crystal making sure I got down to the tips… they came out beautifully!!!
I was scrolling through my feed and saw your video again and I just thought I would let you know how I got my crystals to come out bubble free… have a blessed day!!

Hi. You asked about how to avoid bubbles in your crystal points. When poyring your resin, do it very slowly. Pour in one spot only. That way the overflow of that spot wil slowly go into the next hole. You can also pour just a little bit and then use a microbrush to remove the bubbles in the points. Thank you for sharing this video. I have been thinking about casting my own mold as well, but I am going to use a waxy type of material that you use to make your master. That material is reusable. You use your heatgun with a quick movement to make that master shiny.

I love lets resin silicone. I love let's resin everything so far. You still have to poke and babysit any brand of crystal molds to get good bubble free points. trust me, I've fixed a few points. just sand that bad one then coat it with resin. Where you sanded it in spots If you don't clear coat the whole coaster your going to have spots that are not shinny. It takes a long time to make good molds. Trust me there's no bubbles in silicon if you mix it and pour it right. I can't believe y'all using those torches on everything. LOL Yep I see you got bubbles in your new mold where you didn't fix those points that had bubbles. been there done that.

I saw a woman who casted silicone inserts using let's resin silicone and old silicone molds. I believe it was a wine bottle topper mold.
I also saw Wanda's blessed Creations try to fix a silicone coaster mold by pouring fresh silicone on the bottom of her coasters and a day later it peeled right out.
So in certain circumstances silicone will not stick to silicone. It's just a matter of figuring out how and why.
I don't mess with silicone much, I have no need to yet. But it is interesting 🤔

UV resin will cause the silicone not to cure properly, unless you let it sit for a week or two. That is probably why it came out dull. The clear silicone from Lets Resin will also be really sticky with UV resin. Platinum type silicones do not like UV Resin

Nail stylists use them to rum cuticles when You get a manicure… the ones that come in those kits are cheap Chinese knockoffs…Mia hate saying that about something from Let's Resin because I absolutely LOVE their resin, mica powders, and color shifting powders but their tools that they have been giving out are really cheaply made… they produced a mini drill a while back that I ended up writing a one star review on Amazon… I had NEVER given a product from Let's Resin anything less than 4-5 stars before… but that drill was a bloody joke! They took a mini drill from another seller, bought a bunch of them, put a nice finger tightening 3 jaw chuck on it, slapped their name on it and then jacked up the price from $9.99 to $19.99!!!! The ONLY difference in the drill was that nice 3 jaw chuck that you can get at any home improvement store for $5.00 or LESS!!! The drill even had the same manufacturing number on it! I just couldn’t believe they did that… but yeah, that little, tool is a really good gadget if you sharpen it up! There is a UA-cam video on how to sharpen those things… you can look up sharpening leather working edgers / bevel tools… you can use a thick piece of string or a thin strip of leather to sharpen it… you can use a polishing compound or beeswax… both work for me. Have a blessed day! I have enjoyed your videos…🙃🙂🙃🙂

@@glitznglitterbymichelle1it’s actually a cuticle remover lol… but it’s used to trim silicone and I even use it to trim excess resin instead of a debarring tool… I hate those demurring tools I just can’t get the hang of em with the spinning blade….

This was a long video and I fast forwarded to the end as the transcript was not helpful. Can you use Chapter Headings for each step❔

I have no idea, I’m pretty sure all that is auto generated because I don’t even add the transcript either. When I release a video it’s voice only. Again, it may be possible as I’m really new at all this and am always learning as well.

I learned that if something has small areas in the mold, pour a little resin at a time, squeeze the small tips to push the air out, and after you see the bubble pop at the surface, release the mold. It will help suck the resin into the tiny spots. It takes patience but has paid off for me more than once.
