"Learning to love the process" - Shona. I certainly do, now at least. Even as recently as this week, I made the final adjustments to my slow runs. As a recreational runner of 15 years or so, it's only the last year that I have spent really concentrating, listening, fine tuning everything I do. I can honestly say, hand on heart, that I am now doing all of the things in this video but its only after spending vast amounts of time watching your channel, among others. Great advice, as always and I'm really pleased that this is now just validating everything I am doing. Shame its taken until my mid 50's to get there. Imagine what I could have done if I came to all this earlier. Thanks guys.

My fave part is the process and training
If I only liked the result that’s a lot of months to be miserable
    I am so grateful
    That CP taught me this

Pro tip, to know where your limits are, you must sometimes pass it.

One thing that Pros and experienced Amateurs can do is run their 80% slow runs with good form. As a beginner I cannot run Z2 with anything approaching good form. So as a result I have to choose between bad form Z2 running or better form Z4 running. I NEVER see this Catch 22 covered by any coaches.

Yes, Z2 on a hill, when you're starting out, is often = walking 😂. That's one reason why there's the ~20% of non-zone 2.........to practice the mechanics of faster pace.
