Great Bluez Gracie! B.B.'s classic, saw him many times and he always played this. In your hands that 335 sounds so sweet, you have the feel and the soul from your finger tips to your heart. Thank you for making an old man feel young again. 🕶️
The original (Sweet Black Angel / Black Angel Blues) is by Lucille Bogan (1930). Tampa Red made in his version (1934) the “angel” female. B.B. King took his famous version from the rendition by Robert Nighthawk and turned the “angel” into a colorless sweetheart (Sweet Little Angel). The most curious combination of "angel" and "black" is by the - after his singing career - notorious racist governor of Louisiana, Jimmy Davis, who sang: "(-) if you can't spare me an angel (St. Peter) / send me a high steppin' brown". (Sewing Machine Blues, 1932). Personally, I’m very glad that this old Blues song is kept alive by these young musicians.
I'm from Chicago and have been listening to Blues for 35 plus years! You ppl got that goody sound 😮😊😎🎙️🎶☝️🧠💪 If I'm ever in Nashville soon.. I'll stop by the Underdog for sure! Ty
Probably why I like the 335 style guitar the best is it can carry a blue lick like BB King is still alive...Thanks Grace Bowers you have given my blues some wings!!!
Nicely done all around. Personal opinion but that ES-335 doesn't have quite the same tonal subtleties as Grace's SG. First-rate soul vocal by Esther. It even caught Grace by surprise.
I was really sceptical about an SG sounding better than a 335, so I clicked on the first video in the queue with her playing an SG. Then I saw that her SG has P90s, and that explained it all. (I’m not familiar with the band)

Grace you really feel the Bluez through those strings on that 335. Thank You Goldie Locks.....🕶️
this singer has some chops...smooth as butter and sweeter than a honey kiss...some good connection between all these players..

Wow these Kids are awesome man I would love to see them Live !!!!1
Restraint: Grace and the entire ensemble have it. They know that they don't have to play a lot of notes to make a statement.
This is in the pocket!
Esther🔥
Brilliant stuff! Subscribing...
Hey, thanks!
Once change of mood and sound. Great vocals!
Bella/Linda.😮😮😮😮😮😮🥵

Grace eres muy buena músico y los músicos y vocal también son de lo mejor hojala y tuvieras más difusión
I sense a little bit of a John Densmore throw a spanner in the works around the 7:10 mark
And that's a good thing
Dang!!!!!

I think the sgs pickups are hotter but the semi hollow has a resonance that is it's own special thing.
@@yendorcire Yes, that resonance was probably evident in the club. Wasn't really captured by this phone video.

@@darwinsaye Yes, Grace has commented that P90s, along with the unique character of her '61 SG, brings out that great tone.
Fucking A. Dig da deep soul in the singing and playing.
Someone please phonetically spell the pronounce of the singer Esi full name ...thank you
Is this Grace's regular band? Don't know that much about her.
Yes, tho drums and keys were subbing in.
