    Hi and welcome once again everyone to my how to play series featuring the Hms Jutland, the wow t9 british destroyer. This world of warships jutland review contains all my own personal hms jutland gameplay highlights including wows jutland modules, full world of warships jutland build with captain skills including my own thoughts and strategy on how to play the hms Jutland to it's strenghts one of the best royal navy destroyers in wows.
    One of the Battle-class destroyers. Hms Jutland was designed with consideration of the experience gained in World War II. Hms Jutland wows had a very powerful anti-aircraft defense due to enhanced AA automatic guns and main battery,
    which served its dual purpose in full.
    HMS Jutland is the tier 9 British destroyer and is a development on the playstyle of her predecessor, Lightning in the role of a defensive destroyer. Her armament changes,
    between two dual and one single 113mm gun mounts on the base hull, and three dual mounts on the upgraded (B) hull. Two quintuple torpedo mounts completes Jutland's offensive armament.
    One of Hms Jutland's key strengths is her concealment. Her concealment is competitive against ships at her tier, able to compete with even the Japanese destroyers.
    Captains of Jutland wows should use this key strength to their advantage. With careful management of her position and concealment, Captains can keep hostile destroyers spotted,
    and control the engagement choosing when they wish to engage.
    Hms Jutland's six 113mm guns despite being smaller than her predecessor, are an upgrade in most regards sporting a high base fire chance and fast reload of only 3.5 seconds.
    The ability to traverse her turrets a full 360-degrees aids her in keeping her guns on target while maneuvering. However, without Inertia Fuse for HE Shells she can only penetrate 18mm of armor, making the skill a must.
    Wows Jutland's armor-piercing shells also boast enhanced auto ricochet angles, enable her to better deal damage vs angled targets. Her torpedoes armament is also an improvement,
    now sporting a 10km range and ten tubes combined with a relatively fast reload.
    wows jutland tier 9 destroyer boasts excellent concealment allowing her to lay ambushes against unsuspecting ships allowing her to control the engagement and to make effective use out of her smoke generator and Hydroacoustic Search. Hms Jutland wows differs from the preceding ships being able to equip a Repair Party
    consumable. The addition of this consumable provides her with added flexibility, allowing her to recover some health between repositioning and increases her total potential health.

    The relatively short smoke screen cooldown combined with an increased rate of acceleration allow her to swiftly reposition and the ability to recover some health compliments her in the role of a defensive scout.
    Not everything is great for Hms Jutland however, as her lack of the Engine Boost consumable can slow down her ability to reposition
    and makes evading combat a difficult task. Because of this, Captains will want to take great care to stay near to their team to have support against any ships which may engage her.
    Overall, Hms Jutland is a ship which plays similar to the rest of the line, while being in general improvement.
    Captains will appreciate the improvements over the preceding ships in the line able to perform well in the defensive scouting role.
    She is a relatively strong gunboat backed up with very usable torpedoes and fans of gunboat destroyers will likely adjust quickly to her playstyle.

    Hello again everyone, as promised I finally finished the video on the HMS Jutland, the tier 9 british destroyer. It really is an extremely powerful dd and a lot of fun to play. I hope you all enjoy the video and find it helpful in learning how to play the hms Jutland. Let me know in the comments what you think of this amazing ship and if you are interested in seeing a build combining RPF and IFHE that might be very strong in the upcoming ranked season

    I just got the Jutland today, played only one game and got wrecked early because I made a stupid mistake.
    I loved the Lightning, and hopefuly will love the Jutland too.
    I was worried about having to get used to thr new gun setup but am glad to know that the 3x2 set up is available on the B hull.
    I suppose with the new IFHE changes that I can now swap IFHE for RPF, so that will boost the performance of Jutland and Daring quite a bit

      Hi Luuk341, Jutland is amazing and one of my favourite destroyers. I have to revisit it and update the build exactly as you suspect. IFHE is no longer required and RPF is great for helping to combat enemy destroyers. The big upgrade from Lightning to Jutland is the increase in AP efficiency. It's very good -)

    Call me a fool, but I only just realised that the B hull shifts the Q turret to X/Y position when you get the sixth gun. IIRC this is not historical, although Wikipedia states that a third turret aft was considered at one point. It appears that WG canonised that, and also the shift from 4 inch to 4.5 inch in the amidships gun for the A hull.
    Since you did this vid, I think the 4.5"/113mm guns of these ships had a buff, and it's my understanding that they are no longer obliged to take IFHE. However, I think I need to play around with AP ammo a bit more, as I've heard that the shells are short-fuzed like their cruiser counterparts and won't overpenetrate.

    • @CarbineCarlito
      @CarbineCarlito  4 роки тому

      Hi Jsm666, I will be updating the Jutland captain build soon. It no longer requires IFHE as it received a slight buff to it's HE penetration.
      The reload of the main battery has been increased slightly however but it hasn't had too much of a negative effect from what I've seen so far. The build remains very similiar dropping the IFHE skill for Radio Location is my personal choice.

  • @skavies2351
    @skavies2351 6 років тому

    I think your use if ifhe is a waste. The ap is good enough to damage dd's from just about any angle, except straight bow on at close range and broken HE shells have the same chance to start a fire as a penetrating one. If you want to start fires on a bb, the effectively minimal amount of damage the actual HE shells will do by not breaking on it's super structure is not worth the 4 point captain skill and you're much better off with say radio location for dd hunting.

      Hi Michael, I've played over 100 games in randoms and ranked with the Jutland and I realise this is a contentious issue for a lot of players.
      At higher tiers you will be faced with better players that will know how to angle against your AP leaving you powerless to deal damage against them without IFHE. It's the same feeling like bringing a knife to a gunfight. In one of my recent videos about the current ranked season also using the Jutland I suggested an alternate build using both IFHE and RPF which while sacrificing some reload speed is quite effective.
      These videos are about offering the best advice possible I can offer with the ingame experience I've learned and some of it has been the hard way trust me. I played quite a few games in the Jutland without IFHE and it was hard work. I suggest you try the alternate builds and let me know how you get on. You might be pleasantly surprised o7

      @@CarbineCarlito In an ideal world, you'd be right about that, but this is world of warships. Tell you what, I'll give you 10 to 1 odds, and we can have an ongoing bet on whether the dd you're fighting shows you broadside or not. Yes, 1-2% of the players will angle, a much higher percent in clan wars (at least past gold level) but you can't bring that boat into clan wars, so you're dealing with the 98-99% of players who will show broadside. For the very few who will bow tank, aim a little higher and take out the guns, they will show broadside after that. The ones who turn tail and run (much more common, but they generally won't shoot back trying to go dark)
      can also have their guns shot out easily enough so either they stay running and take slightly reduced ap damage while returning no damage, or turn broadside.

      Hi Michael, I feel you should try looking at this from a broader prospective. Imagine for a moment you are not super unicum and now you are part of the vast majority of dd players in world of warships. The IFHE build is all about giving players options including the ability to deal penetration damage not only to destroyers but also cruisers and battleships. I've included the rpf build in another Jutland video for the ranked season that just ended. I only managed to play 50 games getting to rank 5 but I can guarantee you a large majority of destroyer players there will instantly angle versus a Jutland. There is no right or wrong build, it's about trying to explain to the majority of players the availability of options. If you are good enough to play without IFHE that's great, you have a play style that works for you and I commend you for it.

    Personally, I am not so sure about IFHE. This ship has better AP than it's predecessor and to be honest, I don't care if the HE does not penetrate as I aim for starting fires and incapacitations.

      @CarbineCarlito  5 років тому

      Hi Barney, it sounds wrong but wait until a dd angles towards you or attempts to run away. Your HE without IFHE will simply shatter doing no damage leaving you powerless to deal with any angled target. I've played with and without IFHE and the performance increase with IFHE is dramatic.

If so then the main combat flags I use are Sierra Mike for +5% speed, Juliet Whiskey Unaone +15% chance of flooding and Juliet Charlie to eliminate risk of detonating. I tend to only use economic flags when I'm training captain skills or in urgent need of credits but in this case I have a 19pt captain in the Jutland so no XP grinding is required really.

Yes, both ship and commander xp ones. commander xp base is what the ship gets after the xp increases (camo and signal flags) then the commander xp modifiers are figured in and being a 19 point one, it goes into general commander xp you can use to train up any other captain and it's a fairly safe bet that a ship with a 19 point captain will get you more xp than a ship with a 10 point one that you'd think would be the best place for xp increases...

    • @CarbineCarlito
      @CarbineCarlito  6 років тому

      Hi again Michael, normally yes but take into account a lot of players play without premium are virtually always low on flags and a lot of players starting out in the game for the first time have no free XP to spare or anything even remotely close to a 19 point captain. I myself personally played without premium for over 2 years so I know what it's like to be short on basically everything. The plus side is as a newer player you get to truly learn to play your ship, to really understand it's strenghts and limitations. A lot don't have the luxury to instantly put a fresh 19point captain into a tier 5/6 ship when starting a new line but start from scratch and I put myself into those situations to offer a better insight into playing those particular ships to be able to give better advice on how to play them what to train etc.
