If you think #5 should be Goodnight John-Boy, here's what is actually said - Goodnight everybody, goodnight Mama, goodnight Ben, goodnight everyone, goodnight Mama, goodnight Daddy, goodnight children, goodnight Daddy, goodnight Elizabeth, goodnight John-Boy, goodnight Jim Bob, goodnight Jim Bob, GOODNIGHT JIM BOB. "What's going on? I was asleep, what's everybody doing?" Goodnight Jim Bob.
Not sure why this has become more popularly remembered as Goodnight John-Boy, when he's only mentioned once. Anyway the question is still correct. If you want to watch the original ending, here it is ua-cam.com/video/cp7_u0kcQRo/v-deo.html
Remembered as John-Boy because Richard Thomas, John-Boy, was the star of the show. Jim-Bob was a minor character.
Repeal Government imposed legalized Homosexuality in America and Common Sense will return to America !!
Because he was the main star! The other people were just extras.😂🤷♀️
It's a Mandela Effect lol
-3. They were not banana bikes, they were stingrays that had banana seats. Great quiz.
In Australia they were called Dragstar. I had a metallic green one with three gears.
In our neighborhood we called the bikes 'motos' each kid build their own!
Stingrays were made by Schwinn exclusively other bikes in that area had different names
My first bike was a Stingray. Black and silver. Awesome memories. 😎🤙Thanks for the quiz.
We called them dragsters
Missed 4 out of 40, not bad. It was fun and it proved one thing, I WANT THE 70's BACK ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
Best memories from the 70's are peace and harmony. Joy to the world.
I was very slim in the 1970s and I liked wearing the high waisted fatigues that I believe became popular because of the TV show MASH. Who remembers those? Who remembers Earth Shoes? Pet Rocks? Going home to wait for a phone call? Hanging out in the neighborhood on your bike and enjoying not having technology and having to come up with things to do with the rest of the gang?
I turned 18 in 1970 and remember all those items also had a pair of purple bell bottom's weighed 137 pounds when I registered for the draft and have only gained 2 pounds a year since😊😅❤
The bouncing ball was called a Hippity Hop in my area.
70's the most overlooked generation. Loved it and grew up in it. Got bad mouthed from the beginning. Thank you for this.
bad mounted??
Misspelled. Blasted spell correct probably.
Missed *3* thanks for the memories, I graduated from High School in 1972 with Honors! 🤔😛😇🤗
Play dough was a divine 70s toy. The smell of it even now takes me straight back to being a contented kid 😊
Oh yes😉
Actually got a type of play dough that would glow in the dark once you exposed it to light for a while for my 9th birthday
Silly putty to get imprint from Sunday color newspaper comics!😁
I remember the '70's with, we are going to run out of oil, high interest rates, disco, the economy in free fall, hostages, savings and loan crisis and stagflation. We can still "WIN".
I got most of them correct. I will now celebrate with A Good Cold Ale, and listen to "Dancing Queen" by ABBA.
Thought I was all that and a bag of chips, wearing a deep chocolate brown suit from Eaton's with a matching velour vest, and borrowing my Dad's brown platform shoes to my grade 8 grad night. Max Webster actually preformed live....Patio Lanterns I belive, thanks again for all your effort. Cheers Michael
Oh, that suit sounds amazing 🤩
I was a real fashion plate in the late 60's and 70's sporting my Nehru jacket, paisley, puffy shirt and my polyester slacks. GAG. We had crazy fashion sense back then.
@evakatrina a played in our HS as well in Burlington ON
@evakatrina a You just had to be old enough to catch them early :-) They played our HS in St. Catharines before they got big. Then again, we had April Wine too, some time during the 73/74 school year.
I'm surprised how much I remembered, considering in 1970 I was a high school freshman and in 1980 I was married with my first kid on the way - and everything in between was pretty much an alcohol and recreational drug induced blur. But I'm pretty sure i enjoyed it. 😁
And for the record, the "banana seat bike" originally made by Schwinn (though many others copied it). It was called The Stingray and premiered in 1963. I got mine in 1965 - modified with taller sissy bar and extended forks.
I was a kid and I remembered 30 I loved bellbottoms and the platforms as I am short I could run in them as well 😊 great video quiz. Thanks
That's awesome!
It won’t let me post my answers!
I loved the cartoons, fashions, and commercials
Oh dear, I must be getting old... 40/40. Chopper for the bike bonus. Now off to find a packet of Spangles...
Oh, I miss spangles.
Got three wrong but it brought back a lot of memories! Thanks for another great quiz! 🙂
Glad you enjoyed it 😊
Good job for a Swede! Me as a Swede never knew there were shinky dinks and some other stuff...
Well For me the thing I loved most about the 70s Osmond Mania , absolutely adore them, and I still do today Osmond Brothers 5 Always And Forever 💙🧡🖤💚💜
Missed 3....had grad. high school in 66 at age 16 and went to college at 16. By the 70's I was now working, got married and had a son during the 70's. Life does go on..LOL. Thanks for all your work, Ben. I really enjoy doing your quizzes. I feel they are the best on youtube.😃👍
Thanks for sharing🥰 and thank you for saying how much you enjoy my quizzes.
Got them all except one...... Houston, I definitely had a problem! 😂
Carol Brady????? I laughed louder than a Seventies sitcom laugh track at that one.
37 we called those bikes Dragstars! Here in Australia. My favourite memory was graduating from high school.
Bicycle was a chopper and the smaller version was a chipper.!
I forgot about the smaller one. Thanks for reminding me ☺️
I got 31/40 and I'm happy with that score. As for those skates you mentioned. My youngest sister had a pair of those and she only fell once. Not me though I knew better. As I was always too uncoordinated. 🤣 I miss the 70's and the 80's!
Missed 5 but that is definitely my era. I still love the old tv shows and films.
Me too
37/40. I have some great memories of the 70's. Good quiz.
I got 37 out of 40 loved the 70 s I was a child then so many happy memories 😊
33/40, missed 5 I "knew" but picked the wrong one. haha. 70's...don't remember much from the start...so I really only remember 72-79. Had no idea Michael Jackson wrote a song about a rat.
It was the theme song of the movie Ben which was a sequel to a movie the year before called Willard.
I thought I would ace it but the more obscure and very specific questions I didn't get. Great tests you put out. Thanks for helping to keep my 75 year old brain from drying out.
Glad it was helpful!
Number 30, what you in the UK called "space hoppers", we here in the USA called "Hippity Hop".
I got 30 correct on this one, its a great quiz as always, thanks Ben!!😊😊
My best memory of the seventies was graduating high school. My sister and I both had bikes with banana seats in the early seventies. I scored 31/40
This quiz ROCKED!
In 1966 when i was 7 my bro. Calvin (8) and i were playing out by the railroad right of way, as we were exploring on the hillside we found a Stingray half buried in the weeds, wow what a discovery!! We took it home and it didnt need much work to get it back in shape, but our older brother, Scott helped us and we enjoyed that bike for several years. Yeah, that was so cool!!
My favourite memories of the 70s were The Osmonds. Well, I was in my teens, that's my excuse anyway.😂
I thought The Osmonds were just a toothpaste advert.
@@CB-xr1eg They could have been lol
My favorite memories of the '70's were Rosanne, Darlene, and Jeanie.
good for you to recall them
I missed the Ball Hopper. We called them pogo balls. Great quiz!
35/40, great fun as always, thanks for setting.
What did you love about the 70s ? What do you remember? Share it here
The best thing about the 70s was , the hippies started to bathe and wash their clothes.
It was 'goodnight John boy' not Jim bob from the Waltons but this was fun
Being a renowned trivia Master I am surprised that I was unable to answer any of these questions correctly.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Great quiz. Being a 1970 boy, I nailed all but the Banana seat bike, and the Beatles question? They were called “Chopper seats” here in Australia, we called the actual bike, “Dragstars”… I literally sold one around 12 Months ago. It was a classic Repco Dragstar, with the flowery chopper seat. Had a 3 speed hub, metallic green paint. Time warp bike. I had one as a boy, top of the line, black chopper seat, huge “Sissy Bar” out back, full on tall chopper handle bars, and the best bit, a 3-Speed T-bar gear shift. Only one I ever saw, I certainly got some massive cred with that bike! Wish I still had it…
They were called Choppers in the UK. I lost my four front teeth going over those handle bars when the stupidly small front wheel twisted. They also had a second gear that would slip, resulting in a cross-bar Vs nuts situation.😂
@@Quizzes4U Lol…Now that brings back memories! I lost count of the times I ended up dangling over those handlebars, and that T-Bar shifter was a brilliant ball-crusher. On reflection, that’s probably why they were so rare. A handy disembowelment device! Dad ended up buying me a BMX when they came out, as trying to do those jumps and tricks on that Dragstar, more often than not, ended up with head trauma! Lol
#22, tricked me, The Bears name is might be Ben in the movie, but off the set, The Bear’s real name was Bart, and his owner and handler was Doug Seus, My father was friends with him.
Dog is the one that is really wrestling with a bear in the movie “Legends of the Fall”
A funny note, my brother was also a friends of
Doug. My brother asked Doug one time what the small hardwood bat was hanging off of his belt, and he said if Bart forgets I am boss, I bring the wrath of God down on him with this bat. He further explained that Barts head is so humongous, that
“the bat does not hurt him per say, rather it just hurts his feelings”, although I lived do very close by, with much regret, I never took the time to go see Bart.
I missed 11. Oh, well. I enjoyed it. I didn't know Muhammad Ali did a rumble in the jungle, so I missed that, and the one about Apollo 13 and the famous line. Lol. Great quiz. 😊😊😊😊😊
The bouncy ball toy was a Hippity Hop.
The Bruce Lee one got me. The Way of the Dragon is called the Return of the Dragon in the United States, at least the dubbed version. I only missed 3, not bad for being born in 75. Great fun quiz.
I watched those Bruce Lee films in the 70s but recently I tried re-watching and I couldn't. The dubbing of the dialogue is so bad!
Ah, Studio 54! The club where prime minister Pierre Elliott Trudeau's wife Maggie gave it away regularly. 😅
Great Questions Quizzes4U! I missed 5 but the head scratcher was the Floppy Disk!
You would think you need the Floppy Drive first! Kinda like which came first the egg or the chicken! My favorite how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop!😂
Didn’t know shrinks dinks. Bounce ball was what I called it. The bike was a stingray and the seat was a banana seat.
Mark Spitz,don't spits,,he swallows,lol
Great memory shaker. I almost scored 100%. Damn Houston. Lol.
I did better in this one, finally!!! I did learn a few things along the way too:) Love the vids/quizzes. Thank you for another great show:)
You're so welcome!
Short-shorts and tube sox lol These are fun thanks and have a great day
Glad you enjoyed it 😊
The Schwinn StingRay(tm) Bicycle was first produced in 1959 NOT the 60's or 70's! I remember them vividly as I was seven years old when my best friend got one for Christmas, therefore 1959! His was metallic gold with a white seat and chromed "shorty" front and rear fenders and cost a breathtaking $139.95, where my new Christmas bike cost $13.95 from Oklahoma Tire and Supply (like Western Auto) and was a Murray 20" single speed. I don't think my parents spent $140 on Christmas for both me and my older sister in 1959.
LOL Ricky, same here, late 60's though. My best friend got the Schwinn Stingray. I got the $25 Kitty-City bike. My bike came with a big sissy bar though, so there!😁.
Schwinn's StingRay wasn't introduce until 1963. Corvette didn't use the Sting Ray name until 1963 as well.
37, but two were undecided that I thought I knew... I tried. Ta for these.🌸
Hello, I got 45/50 Thank you for posting these quizzes! 🙂
Thanks for watching them😀
That’s pretty good to get 45 questions right out of 40
Video narrator looked exactly as I pictured him!
What about that "classy"Leisure Suit"!
I didn't have any fashion mistakes in the 70s because I wore jeans and a t-shirt on most instances. Can't go wrong when you stick to an American tradition.
With the banana seat was the sissy bar.
I got every one correct except for Muhammad Ali, and the British trivia.
I just watch a interview with Pual McCartney and he said that it was John who broke up the band in 1977.
Farrah Fawcett played on Charlie's Angels
All of them 😊
Yes very well
Thank you Quizzes4U for your 70’ s quiz. 👍👍
38/40. 👍
35/40. Not too bad. I was in my mid-twenties in the 70’s.
37 right. I'm so old it scares me.
1976 the Year of The Red, White & Blue Psychedelic Mushrooms, lol!!!
fun fact....metropolis comics now resides throughout the entire 6th floor of the former studio 54 building.
I wasn't born until 1974 but (other than than the UK specific content) I got every single one of them
Too right!
34 of 40. That was fun.
Good for me. I got 32/40.
6 was a chopper. I had the baby version (budgie) before I got my hands on a Raliegh chopper. 3 gears on the cross bar. Only because my parents couldn't afford a Grifter
I remember the Grifter as my neighbour had one. It had the gear change as a twist handle. Much better than the nut crushing Chopper, with its slip 2nd gear!😀
I had a grifter. It was a fantastic bike.
35/40 not toooo bad. Never ever heard of banana seat??? We called it a chopper🤷♀️
Not counting the one with the answer which was what the British called it, only 1 wrong.
My worst fashion choice in the 70's (1977) Levis Leisure suit.
I did good. This is how I know that I have watched way to much TV when I was young. Now I'm 60 and never watch TV. Just UA-cam..... thanks
My slinky toy
37/40 with the options; 27/40 without. One better than the 60s!
Don't know the Q6 bonus, and wasn't alive in the 70s so didn't have any fashion, bad or otherwise!
Bugger, got 2 wrong. Waaah! 😂
Just missed one, good quiz!
Was a child in the 70s
OMG I ONLY MISSED 3 OF THEM
The quiz was about the 70s, but I (barely) got my percentage of correct answers into the 80s. 32/40 and I was never alive in that decade (at least not in my current body).
As for those big rubber balls that you bounce around on, they were called "hippity hops" at my American grade school.
BTW, you are wrong about the Apollo 13 line. It was "Houston, WE have a problem".
Thanks for commenting. I'm not wrong. You are thinking of the line from the movie, which they changed from the original. There's videos of the original recording on UA-cam if you search for it, or just Google it. The quiz is correct
He's not wrong. The line you quoted is from the movie. They changed it from the original line.
33,not too bad.I also got the silver jubilee mug.👍
I missed... five 😮but...the rubber bouncy ball was called a hippetty hop... IIRC 😅
That's the one I missed because I didn't know the UK name for it!😁
In the UK it was called a Chopper by Raleigh Bicycle Co.
Fun fact - the famous acting bear "Bart" starred as a cub in "The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams".
🤣👍
Another great quiz
39/40
I'm not totally sure but I think the bikes with banana seats were called wheelie bikes here.
Man that was nice bout 3 wrong. Guessed 3 right n remembered the rest.
I was a teen in the 70s...and a girl. Ask me about makeup, hairstyles, dancing, music or even cars and movies. But i knew nothing about sports, video games or kids toys.
35/40 .. I had a Chopper bike .. very difficult to ride with flared trousers and plarform shoes.
''Buddy, you're a boy make a big noise playing in the street, you're gonna be a big man one day. You've got mud on your face, you big disgrace, kicking your can all over the place, singing WE WILL, WE WILL ROCK YOU !!'' .. I love Queen .. I met Freddy Mercury.
I lost four front teeth thanks to a Chopper. 😳 Must have been great meeting Freddie, I wish I had gone to the Live Aid concert
@@Quizzes4U Freddy bought me a drink and we spent the evening talking. A very sweet man.
100 percent! I rule!
You sure do👏😁💯
only got 5 wromg!! thanx once again!
5 wrong grrrr - but awesome and fun quiz lol - thanks!!!!
Glad you enjoyed it 😊
8/10 good quiz
Earth shoes
I like triva questions.
