Haley undoubtedly had the better technique, stamina, and fundamentals (plus she had a tons of guts), but Minx was too big, too strong, too tough and too crazy for her. Minx turned out to have an iron chin that Haley couldn't crack, and Haley took way more damage whenever Minx hit her. After a couple of rounds it added up big time.
Why was Miz and everybody exclusively rooting for her? Minx was clearly dominating her from the start. Had a lot of great hits. More than that other girl. Miz had minx over a few times, he should not root for the other girl and dismiss minx entirely... throughout the fight he was just putting her down

Props to iDubbbz. The man knows he is in the main event so he has to perform up and keep that content rolling. Also I did a thing is a god damn beast. He was literally born to fight kangaroos in the outback. I think he had on of the best punches of the whole event. James did really well all things considered but the reach difference was massive.

james did well but i think the issue with that was james wanted to stop after that first punch so idk if he was truly prepared for the clash or if he didn’t expect it to be like that but alex was dancing around after that you could see

Acutally kinda boring, amateur boxing isnt too spectacular. In poland we have event called Fame Mma, where ppl from social media get chosen to fight, but it’s mainly in mma or k-1, which makes it way more exciting. But i guess its their first freak fight event so there is a lot of space for improvement
Alex Ernst vs Ryan Magee was the most heartwarming thing of this event, they literally cant stop hugging each other
that was easily the best fight of the event. Ryan still fighting after getting knocked down THREE times was insane. it was definitely the closest match and you could tell that both fighters were giving all of their effort and really took the event seriously, which is more than can be said about a bunch of the fighters

Ryan vs Alex was hands down best fight. Seemed like an anime fight, both of them continuing with pure power of will and determination. Charlie was accurate on his comment about this

It wasn't on purpose, Minx already reacted and addressed it. She was just very sloppy and when she pulled back after the punch her reach was too long and accidentally hit Haley on the way back.

Im sad you didnt show more of the Ryan vs Alex fight, seeing Ryan get up and keep fighting after getting knocked down the third time was incredible to watch.
I also wish the ref hadnt stopped the Minx vs Haley fight, it was actually still pretty even and Haley was still giving almost as good as she was taking.
Overall I agree, this event was absolutely incredible to watch all the way through, good job to idubbbz for putting this on and lasting the rounds with Dr. Mike
haley was a tank/did great but it is understandable for the ref to call it, she took ~16 hooks to the face unblocked.

Just gotta give props to the dude who organized it, gave the proceeds to charity, and fought a beast named Doctor Mike. That said Dr Mike shouldn’t have gotten hate from anyone for taking the fight seriously; he did apologize for the “cheap” early round shot after the glove touch tho

Haley had the speed and cardio advantage, but Minx's punches were DEVASTATINGLY strong
Fun fact: In Poland there is something called Fame MMA where creators from all platforms fight in mma, k1 or box (depends on creators decision). They are so big that they even had a few professionals fight in there and they almost always sell out the whole stadiums. You might wanna look into this

its clear, minx went tank spec which is quite strong in a 1v1 pvp situation, clearly she had too much damage reduction to lose it.
I bought the ticket and watched it with miz on the second monitor, it was such a fun night! Gonna watch this even though I've seen it. Gotta pad those algorithm numbers!

Mike had the most skill in this line of events. He is actually really good. He has great head movements and guarding, his stance is perfect and punches are quick and very snappy with good power in it. He is also very accurate with them he looked professional next to every person in this event. Other Mike, Michael Reeves is probably the most talented out of the people who trained for this event. I can see him getting 10 times better if he goes on with the training and for a second event.
Rest of them were pretty shit but they brought out the vibe massively. Huge props to everyone. Amazing event.

Yeah nah I did a thing looked really good for an amateur, he just finished the fight way too quickly. Also Hayley had decent technique just no power
I Did a Thing had great technique and snap too, just wasn't put up against an equal opponent
One of his advantages was that Dr. Mike was already "fit" before all of this, so he could concentrate more on technique and form rather than training his body.
There is no perfect stance in Boxing mate, each has their pros and cons but of course, you know this right?
the most impressive part of this, is the fact the editor successfully edited down over 5 hours of fights down into 28 minutes of video lol. very nice!
if haley knew how to get her head off the line instead of walking into every jab at the start of every exchange, i think she would have beaten minx. she gives up a lot on power against minx, she can't afford to give minx a free punch at the start of every flurry.
Yes, despite the difference in size and strength and the iron jaw Minx turned out to have, Haley could have won that fight with better movement and defense.
Apparently Haley's trainer told her to go out and take the fight to Minx and I think that was an enormous mistake in strategy. I think they wanted to make a statement early and get Minx to back down a little so the fight didn't just turn into Haley running away while Minx hunted her down, but sticking to that strategy was a very bad idea for Haley.
@@thewandering01 well its hard to judge strategy. there's no tape you can watch to see how each fighter fights. but you're right, once they saw that haley could tank a few hits, and that minx was gassed very fast, it might have been worth it have haley slow things down, burn minx out, and then turn it up.
@@jayjacobl4667 That's true and a fair point about it being hard to make a gameplan coming in because they didn't know what to expect. Also, I'll concede that I'm making some assumptions and maybe there are reasons that we don't know that made them decide not to try having Haley fight in, say, a stick and move style.
Still, if not by the end of the first round then by the end of the second her corner should have seen that Haley wasn't doing nearly enough damage relative to the amount that she was taking in return from Minx, and, as you said, that Minx had stamina issues. They were the professionals in there, it's up to them to find the best approach for success and to keep their fighter from getting hurt, and it doesn't look like any move was made to adapt to what was going on in the ring.

Best Defender: Michael Reeves (He didn't give even one opening to his enemy - almost all enemy punches blocked).
Minx won by sheer power, her playstyle is crude but powerful (Haley would have won if she had a more active defense like Michael Reeves)

one thing about the Irish that a lot of people don't know about, they're like a wall when in a fight. Minx may be gassed a little bit, but she still hits hard. they're punching slow, due to adrenaline.

I’ve noticed with miz’s commentary he seems to not understand power shots. Especially noticeable in minx’s fight he believes the fighter who’s throwing more punches faster but not necessarily hard is winning. It was pretty clear throughout 85% of minx’s fight that she was owning. The difference in power is insane. U see replay of minx getting hit vs Haley and it’s completely different. Minx’s head barley moves whereas Haley looks like she’s getting whiplash with ever punch taken
Like I’m sorry one more comment but miz’s commentary is completely wrong throughout that fight like if you’re j listening to that you’d think the fight was going completely different than it was
