These lures work great for fresh water fish as well. Musky love the larger versions of this lure! They need to make a 15 inch version for the musky market because word is getting out about how well these work on pike and musky!
From the asian supermarket we get dehydrated squid ink,which when put in the water explodes into a black cloud ,like a panicking squid in distress, anglers smear dead squid baits with it and it triggers predatory response from yellowtail.. This would be wicked combined with this lure.

Wish they were heavier than 1 oz to get them down 300 ft. I could see them knocking the Rockfish and Lingcod silly.
Lambert 2000 I wonder if you could rig it with a heavy slip sinker and leader as a Carolina rig and just jig it instead of dragging.

We'd imagine yes. As long as you get a heavy enough rig, you could use this lure for whatever!
