Thank you so much for this video! It’s so hard to find relatable breastfeeding content. Felt lonely over here breastfeeding my almost 3 year old that I’m ready to wean. I love it and I’m so sad and so ready to end this chapter!
I have watched so many of these toddler weaning videos and your video is the first one that I relate to 100% and I feel confident now. I’m at the *wee hours of the morning* feed and because of giving in to that she started asking for it before bed “just ten minutes” which she thinks is a very long time. So I’m going back through it again, thank you so much. There aren’t words for how much I appreciate your video. ❤
Of recent ive seen so many videos to help me to stop breastfeeding as i want it really gentle with minimal tears and trauma and id like to say that i found yours the most relatable. Thank you.
I am in the process of weaning my 3 year old. I got the book "My Milk Will Go, Our Love Will Grow" and started reading that to her to introduce the idea. I am cutting out daytime feeds first because they don't happen every day anyway. I started timing her so she gets used to shorter sessions. Luckily she doesn't fight me on the timer going off. 🙌🏻 I am most nervous about nighttime feeds because i also nurse her to sleep. I know she's ready though because she is able to fall asleep without it if she's tired enough. She is able to speak very well, so I know she understands. It's still an emotional thing because it's all we've ever known for 3 years! 🥺 Hoping the nights won't be too rough when the time comes!
Thank you for this video! I’m working to wean my 3 year old now. We’ve mostly cut out daytime, unless she really needs a snuggle. Bedtime nursing…yeah, I don’t know when we can stop those. ❤ it’s so nice to see other mamas breastfeeding toddlers! Thank you again.
Thank you so much! I started with night weaning when he was 21 months old because I was at a breaking point. Now he is 2 years and 3 months and we are still nursing, a bit more again because he is getting his last 2 molars right now. To get him to sleep in the evening without nursing him to sleep is no problem, also Papa can do it (I just went on a few tiny holiday trips this year to push the guys a bit *g*, now they are doing great, but I always went back to nursing, because I was not ready to stop and he loves it so much and I don´t want it to happen that way. And I was always saying to myself that it makes sense to nurse until he has all teeth and can eat properly). The only thing I NEVER managed: To put him in the bed for his naptime and get him to sleep like this! I have no clue how to do that, he is not even lying down, just jumping on the bed. So he either falls asleep in the car, or he is in the daycare or at home I still nurse him to nap. I never found a video on how to get a toddler to sleep for nap, any tips?
Naps were super hard for me as well. I would give her her water bottle and have to lay next to her in my bed to get her to fall asleep, and then sneak away and pack her all around with pillows lol. She would never nap in her own bed.
Thank you for your video. It really comes off as being caring and warm hearted the way you weaned the baby off. Mines turns 2 tomorrow Godwilling and will begin his weaning transition. I too truly enjoy breastfeeding him as he’s my third and the only one I’ve been able to last this long. I also nurse to sleep and co-sleep 😮, this weaning is going to be brutal and painful to our ears. I went ahead and purchased the water bottles. Thanks for the video :)
thank you for this momma. my hybrid setup work requires now us to work for a minimum of 4hrs at the office and this will mean I need to wean my baby from his PM feed. it has been 2 days and he just couldnt sleep!! i lost for these 2 days and have breastfed him for a late night nap (4 / 5pm) 😢 Ill try cutting the am feed first :) ❤
It’s not easy at all with the pacifier, I’m having hard times with nursing.. I dunno how to stop before bed time, she doesn’t drink water I will try it
My daughter is 2 in a half now and we have been in our weaning phases We nurse to sleep so i have been dreading the process for that reason and bonding 🥺

Night time is the hardest ❤️ We used the waterbottle to replace the breastfeeding at bedtime, but I still laid by her for a while so she had me close.

@@PlantingSeedsofTruthyou're so welcome! 😊 yeah cutting the night time feeds is tough. The good news is you don't have to rush ❤️

Weaning is such an emotional experience and I feel like every baby handles it differently. I hope it gets easier for you guys!!
Thank you for your video! My baby boy is 2 years old and I'm in this same position. I will try your method!
Thank you for watching! I hope it works for you ❤️

I was looking for something similar to wean my 2.5yr old daughter...thanku ❤
You're welcome ❤️ I hope it helped!

The bed time nurse is the hardest one to stop ❤️ you don't have to rush though.
I bottlefed my daughters. They were very easy to wean. No temper tantrums. Bottles can be hidden. Breasts can't.
That's great that you were able to wean easily 😊 some moms bottle feed, some breast feed. This video is about weaning from breastfeeding.
Oh my god I needed this!
Awe I'm so glad it helped you!!

Just remember you don't have to rush 😊 this is YOUR call!
@@RelatableMotherhood thank you so much your video was more than helpful!
Yikes. Don't the teeth hurt you?
Only if she decided to bite lol. Otherwise no.
That's way too old to begin weaning.
Every mom feels different about what's best for their child. This felt right and best for us 😊
@@RelatableMotherhood 2.5 years is way too old.
