As mentioned, when Ren sings "Murderer" It's a direct homage to Reggae legend, Barrington Levy's song "Murderer" and Ren sings it exactly like Barrington does in his song. 😊

If you like the Marleys you should do Ren with his band The Big Push cover I shot the sheriff/ road to zion/hip hop . The version with Ren in the red suspenders is the preferred one

Good to see you guys thoroughly entertained. Boxing bants hilarious Ren is obviously doing that for artistic purposes and getting fit. In a recent interview he said his shins and ankles were hurting at that time and being virtually bed ridden for years with his crippling Lyme disease so boxing technique is forgiveable 😁 so glad he chose to focus on his amazing musical talents. Ditto all comments about seeing live version also. A much earlier song is called Crutch with his ex gf Bibi very moving and buillds up. Funny you mentioned it, but Ren has a couple of busking videos with "Welcome to Jam Rock" (with Sam Tompkins or with the Big Push). I've forgotten, but have you heard the Big Push's medley of "I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop?" TBP recorded like 4 videos that day (Ren's wearing red suspenders) and they're all fire, though the others are more rock.

Talking about fire, try Ren's song Fire from his Freckled Angels album, yet another facet to his sound. There's no video but the song is top notch.
You probably should also check our Ren & Sam Tompkins "Blind Eyed" There's a few versions of this and they're all good. Probably start with the Live Studio Session - Then There's the street busking version, and the Angry Car Park attendent version.

He doesn’t have too. He is a Living Legend in Music and Directing. He has been through A lot. I’m sure boxing is the last thing on his mind after all these years of battling Life Threatening health concerns and being misdiagnosed. That fight Alone shows his Fighting spirit.
