Dead sticking for Wiper in Iowa.

Teng and I made the five hour journey into the heart of Iowa. First time on this lake fishing for Wipers. Maybe it was pure luck that we found them the first try, and limited out on livewell space. These fish are strong, aggressive, and fun to catch. Below are coordinates for the spots we fish, if you do dare to fish them. Good luck.

is that a technique to call the fishes in? slapping water in the back trolling motor?

Yes it is. But I’m not sure if it is working or not. It’s the first time trying this, need more time on the water and different locations, depths, weather conditions to determine if it really works. We always do good on overcast days in the past without this technique. Once I have enough time with this technique, I’ll post a video.
