Baseline: G37 , test pipes, exhaust, STOCK intakes, TUNE. 281whp SAE.
After: Added intakes, exact same tune (SAME timing, VVEL, cam angle, air/fuel ratio as the baseline). 311whp SAE.
+30whp peak gain with gains EVERYWHERE.
Update: Another one of my customer's cars also picked up +35whp/+24wtq with this intake swap over his previously tuned baseline. He then went and ran 12.28@112mph in an auto 370Z on street tires. We also have multiple cars making at or near 340whp on the same dyno with this intake system.

We have an engineer up here in Montreal that designed 3" /75mm Throttle bodies if you're interested. They're the only ones on the market and they look like they would fit your 3" intakes. From the 2 throttle bodies we've seen around 50 HP and 35 TQs using custom 3" intakes (not the best - just for the R&D) and Osiris dyno tune. And that's with stock exhaust! If you go with a 3" exhaust the gains would be more significant. NA engine with numbers that match 3 liter TT's! Well over 300 HP at the wheel and over 280 TQ estimate with new exhaust system. Let me know and I can introduce you to the engineer who developed them.

@@psycheevolved1428 Off course it does, more power to the crank mean more power to the wheel even with 10% or 14% loss on the dyno test machine.
Plus, if the car lose some weight and good set of tires it will helps for sure, so I think every little bit helps.

281hp with tests pipes and exhaust seems low. Maybe it's the dyno, but stock is near 275hp so very small gain there. I saw figures near the 300's with same kind of mods! So my question: can the intake bonify the effecitveness of the priors mods and bring the most out of them? If so, then that would mean that your gain was not coming strickly from the intake, but also the bonus of combined mods. But hey, I am an amateur...please don't judge!!
This dyno is a little stingy and this engine is higher mileage (180k++). Building an NA car is all about combinations. That is why I tested this intake compared to a stock one with a car that already had an exhaust on it. Once restrictions are alleviated from one side, you have a good basis to test the gains from alleviating restrictions from another side.
Getting a 370z nismo in a month exactly I’ll keep this intake in consideration.

This is all cool and all, but $640 for an intake is ludicrous.
Around $21/whp according to this test which is better than a lot of the bolt ons out there.
(Tuning not included, but most VQ owners will end up getting their car tuned regardless of what parts they end up putting on).

This car was tuned on UpRev and yes it has a hard cut on the limiter.

I've wondered, do these intake dyno tests account for the real life fact that cars are typically driven with the hood closed? I understand the large fan accounts for wind force, yet what about hot air trapped in your car as you drive with the hood down. That's gotta put a dent in these results
IATs on the dyno are higher even with the hood up, typically.

Hello - these intakes require a tune. In your situation, I'd suggest doing exhaust upgrades first.
Currently Running a Straight Pipe Set Up from the Stock Cats in my G35 Coupe Rev Up Edition So my question is how can I make more power with your intake and tune while regaining back my low end torque since I lost low end torque since I straight piped it. Would you suggest Art Pipes to replace the Stock Cats and keep the straight pipe set up with the art pipes or just get a full exhaust for more potential?
Straight piping your car was a mistake. I would suggest a real exhaust first, as well as resonated test pipes (if you have the extra funds, ARTs are good for more midrange). Tuning increases power everywhere in the powerband because it fully optimizes combustion events at every RPM, and my intakes add more power at every point in the powerband on DE engines like the one you have.

kevin tran I would recommend the Takeda CAI. I have a 2014 3.7 Q50 and I found them to be the best in overall performance.

@@issaa2505 I ran 19x10.5 +15, had to put a 15mm spacer in front to clear the Akebono brakes, so around +0 offset up front. I definitely liked those specs but the wheel itself was just poor quality.

Ran 245/40 for awhile, then 255/40. Had about -4 camber up front and -3 in the rear. Not a lot of rubbing if any.

Having a good exhaust puts a lot of demand on the intake system.
Interesting way to put it. I would of thought the reverse, high flow intake/head etc, requires a high volume, free flowing exhaust.
That’s what I’m saying. This car has one of the higher flowing exhausts available on it and once all the inlet restriction is alleviated from a large intake, the power gains are massive.

For the DE it still makes more power than any other RWD DE intake available, and I have a CAI version as well.

30whp is stock intakes + tune vs my intakes + tune. 38whp is stock intakes without tune vs my intakes + tune. It wasn't 41, my memory was inaccurate but I have dyno sheets to back up the statements in this comment. My intakes usually make 10whp more than Z1s/G3s on the same car.
