    I think everyone forgets about his piano player Dean, he died in the same plane flight

      True, and Dean Manuel hated to fly, Dean went in place of Leo Jackson. Leo felt guilty for the rest of his life.

    Jim Reeves is excellent. Him, Moon Mullican, Hank Williams and Jerry Lee Lewis are among the best country singers of their era. I never heard him do Tennesee Waltz until now and he could have recorded such a great version.

    It's almost the same for me accept I was born in 1958 but I do remember we had a big valve set radiogram which we played all our records on at rpm speeds of 16, 33, 45 and 78. Good memories I believe!!!!

    Jim was a class act. He didn't need a lot of unnecessary theatrics, such as fireworks, smoke machines, and laser lights, to hold an audience's attention. Pure talent is what did the job. Also, entertainers knew how to dress back in the day. Now days, they dress like bums.

    • @bellafoenander5153
      @bellafoenander5153 3 роки тому +2

      During the time when Jim Reeves reigned as a popular county singer, everyone dressed so decent their dress code was really beautiful. These days women are half clad and actually they look indecent and one can't respect them

    not exactly my kind of music but you have to admire his flawless vocals....i'm more of a Roy Orbison fan but in my opinion they are two of the greatest singers in the modern era, absolutely faultless.

    @hmaltravers Yes I agree with you with proper instrumental backings all you have to do today be able to sing into a microphone and sound like a robot and you have a hit record. Today’s music is rubbish. And extracts are taken from other musicians recordings and added to their recordings. Jim Reeves was one of a kind and not surprisingly people today still like his music!!

    Put the live sound back on. Look at the comments-- you're fooling people into thinking these songs are live, when they're just the recorded versions you put on these video clips.
    Fix it, or take it down!
