I heard this song in 1966 when I was 16 YEARS old.I often listened to the song when driving to the Griffith Park Observatory in LOS Angeles to see the star show It was the best year of my life. Jim Reeves is my favorite singer and as I listen to his songs I remember a time of peace and happiness.
My grandparents were a beautiful pair of dancers. When grandpa died we arranged a tribute pair to perform a waltz to this song at his funeral. It was beautiful.
My parents played music w Jim in the 60's. My youngest brother was named Jim Reeves after him. He had the most beautiful voice ever in country. RIP Jim Reeves & Jim Reeves W.
