A couple things I would add for more context.
SM does huge multiple group concerts called SMTown Live fairly often. They have been doing them since 2008 and in addition to seeing multiple groups (everyone from Boa and TVXQ to EXO and Red Velvet and down the to youngest groups, including SMRookes who haven't debuted yet) perform short sets we also get to see some really cool collaboration stages across the years. So NCT Nation felt like the pinnacle of this idea and it was really really a wonderful experience. There are so many amazing NCT U songs that we've never been able to see live (because it's so hard to get all members together schedule-wise) and I have no idea when those songs will be able to be shown live again.... unforgettable!
NCT DoJaeJung is not only an amazing unit, they are also part of a long SM tradition. SM has often made 3-member vocalist sub-units (and other sub-units) from their larger groups over the years.
Girls Generation has TTS
Super Junior has KRY
EXO has CBX
and now NCT has DJJ/DoJaeJung
Finally I would say, NCT produces an insane amount of their own original variety content, often based around comebacks. It is all hilarious and it is well worth the time to watch (although it is a LOT). So many inside jokes in the fandom are based around their variety content and sometimes the producers will pick up on an idea in the fandom and make it into a whole show or segment. For example, there was a long running meme about how Mark cannot cook, especially eggs. So the producers of NCT 2.0 made him a specific challenge to cook a lot of eggs and it was predictably chaotic. The gag went on for so long Mark even wrote a song based around that, coming full circle as a gift to fans who had started the whole meme. Hilarious. NCity is such a crazy and fun place to be ;)

yesss, NCT is known for home of ''B-Side Gourmet", most of their b-side songs qualified for the title track, even sometimes I found that their b-side songs were more pleasing than the actual title track song in each comeback, so that might also be one of the reasons why they always promote 1 or 2 b-side songs alongside with the title track song in every comeback stages
The NCT 127/NCT DREAM/WAYV songs in NCT albums are new. I recommend you listen and watch the ones from NCT 127 since you are listening to them first.the songs are "Touch"(has a mv) "Music, Dance" and Earthquake (has a track video)

Basically NCT is like a huge brand and under those are umbrella groups which are NCT U (mix and match), NCT 127 (older Korean-based), NCT DREAM (younger Korean-based), WayV (China based), NCT DoJaeJung (Doyoung,Jaehyun,Jungwoo), and the new and last fixed unit that will debut on February which is NCT WISH (Japan-based group)
Still waiting for NCT Hollywood tho (but i guess that plan was scrapped after Lee Sooman-SM's founder was kicked from the company, there was a huge drama back last year and that caused a lot of changes in SM) like imagine we could get groups based from around the world, that would be so dope
For NCT project as whole (NCT2018, NCT2020 etc etc) all is new songs, create just for NCTyear project
I can't wait for your Wayv journey, they were the last sub unit I listened, but they became my fav unit so fast.

NCT Nation can only be made by NCT cuz they are the only group in Kpop capable to do so bcuz of their concept (one group composed of many units)
But SMent also has this thing where they get all their artists (solo and groups) to perform in one big concert called SMTown and it is broadcast on YT n Weverse too, the next one is very soon SMTown Japan (I forgot the exact date), and SM ent also releases occasionally an album with songs where its artists collab with each other, it is very cool to see their interactions on stage and in the albums, I wish they release more content with mixed combinations with their artists like they used to do but its okey as long as I get to see them interacting briefly in the ending stage is okey for now hhhhh
all the songs released in the special NCT progets like (NCT 2018 NCT 2020 NCT 2021 ...etc) are original songs for that specific album not borrowed from other units cuz each album has its own concept
2 things that i need to point out in this guide (it is a good one tho) : 1- they should have mentioned NCT Wish (NCT's last japanese unit) since their lineup and debut was confirmed since August 2023 and they already promote and have pre-releases so I don't get why not mentioning them. 2- I don't like the shade toward SM. like we get it !! we wanna defend our favorite artists ... yet no company is perfect and this guide can affect new fans opinion who know nothing about the company and its history, like no company is perfect, I still hold gruges against SM for letting go of some of their artists but it happens in each company not only SM, and getting rid of the graduation system for NCT Dream and getting Mark back is a good move from them, even getting rid of the limitless concept (even if I don't find a problem with it but many ppl get confused bcuz of it and don't get to know how talented NCT is cuz they find it intimidating) so yeah SMent as any other company has its own good and bad sides.... they are a business after all just like idols are employees at the end of the day ....
The newest Japanese unit is NCT Wish by the way! There are 6 members (making NCT have a total of 26 members now) and they will actually be debuting this month with the song "Wish". Take your time exploring NCT, you'll get everyone eventually lol and like the video said you won't regret it! Their discography is immaculate and the amount of talent in all 26 members is insane. Watching the NCT Nation concert alone proved that.
And to answer your question about the full group albums, YES all the songs on NCT's full group albums are new to that album. The only time they repeat songs is if they release them in different languages. I highly recommend checking out the NCT 2021 album Universe or the NCT 2020 album Resonance, those are great introductory albums to the full group project concept.

This was quite good. It’s been almost 5 years for me, so I haven’t watched more recent guides. It was pretty thorough, even if the AI voice pronounciations were less than perfect at times: NCTzen is pronounced “N (letter n) - citizen.” Also Xiaojun is pronounced “Show (rhymes with ‘chow’) - jun.”
There are so many recommendations I could make from the various track videos alone: “Lemonade” is one, but I prefer the full song. “Misfit” is another. One of my favorite 127 tracks (“Earthquake”) isn’t on a 127 album, it’s on the NCT “Universe” album.
I was thinking of one suggestion the other day: 127 promoted a holiday season song called “Be There for me” that’s really cute. You could watch the mv, then their SBS Gayo Daejeon performance (make sure it’s the Full Cam version), and then the group’s reaction to the music video, which is very funny.

Nct U is when they do songs with members picked from all units...n they are just Nct when all are together. Albums from Nct will hv d year its released.
From what I have seen in long albums reaction, people divide them in 2 or 3 parts. Maybe that could work for you. Mini albums are short so I don't think there would be a problem to just do 1 part.
