Thanks for all the Vigil 2 posts. Watching Kirsten as she lovingly gazes at a sleeping Amy, makes me melt. 😊🌈❤️ Bravo to Suranne and Rose for bringing Silvacre to life. Their chemistry and connection is amazing!! 🥰
This whole scene was heartbreaking. Their stark honest conversation and the way Amy opened her eyes after the first kiss to check that Kirsten was indeed alright before kissing her again and then reluctantly leaving almost brought tears to my eyes. What a beautifully acted scene.
I loved Amy's reaction to "go on, then." A smile, a tiny chuckle and a smile of... Pride, maybe? If we get a season three, there's better not be any relationship troubles. I'd be terribly disappointed. Suranne and Rose have terrific chemistry.
Love this scene. The way Kirsten says "I love you" has so much meaning to it. It's not just your typical "I love you," it's loaded with how much she cares for Amy, how she is almost in awe of how much she loves her. I do wish we had gotten a Silvacre scene with their baby boy at the very end though.
The character growth too from Amy! In series 1 she couldn't handle hearing Kirsten say those words to her let alone say it back; and in this season, their "I love you's" flow so smoothly and effortlessly back and forth between them. Really, really excellent character development and growth.
@@danpalmer7676 if queer content isn't your thing, why are you here? Go kick off somewhere else and leave those who resonate with these characters and their storylines in peace. 🙄
I wish the writers did background/flashback scenes on Amy & Kirsten decision about the baby because I wanted to know more about their personal lives and nothing was said about it. In Season 1 we got background/flashback story on their relationship which made it so interesting. I hate it when writers expect viewers to make up their own stories of what happened with the characters.
The pregnancy storyline was written in because the actor was actually pregnant during time of filming. Besides, their relationship isn't the main focus of the show, which is a police procedural. The flashbacks were utilised in Series 1 as a way to get coded messages to Amy but there wasn't a need for that in Series 2. I actually think it's marvellous that we have a queer relationship being showcased in this kind of suspense/action thriller genre that's traditionally kind of geared towards the straight lads and in it, the two main characters happen to be female police officers who are in a relationship with each other. They're seamlessly and effortlessly part of the narrative; no muss, no fuss.
I thought an appropriate spot would be when Amy was kidnapped & Kirsten was worrying...she could have remember back to when she had her positive pregnancy test. And like I said above, it would have been nice to have had a scene with their baby boy at the end, since it flashes forward 6 months.
Just might have been nice to add a bit more of the two of them since that was a huge appeal in the first series. Flashback is too cheesy, but a scene at the end would have fit just fine.@@tananario

Beautifully said.
Oh wow, you are something else to be able to capture the details.
❤
Could not agree more, especially the acting. Rose & Suranne are queens.

These two… I love how they actually… talk? Work through their problems, express how they feel. Everything I could ask for from a wlw couple on a show

Amy spending the night with her pregnant wife in hospital then cuts to her walking in a dark suit down a corridor.... it's a lesbian epiphany

@@meeganmccauley2083No need to turn this into a Hallmark movie.
