    I’m looking out my window at southern Utah red mountains right now as you were mentioning Utah. I want to come to Australia to explore but then you mentioning where I live makes me remember that I have so much to explore still right out my back door.

    Bit of a difference from when we were there in August 2020. It was just a string of unconnected water holes and the river crossings were bone dry. A van camped in the first crossing. Beautiful spot though.

    Just went up there with my girlfriend and a close mate, this 'mate' thought it would be a good idea to try and take his 21ft caravan to George river/gorge. Not the wisest decision, we ended up having to camp on the track and leave the caravan behind to continue on. It's absolutely amazing and I had the same thoughts as Torbs, looks just like Utah except the aussie equivalent. We didn't have as much water though (Late June), but we can't wait to head back for a boys only trip. Keep it up Ronny, this series is class.

    Great river crossing, your hilux is more than capable, only error was you wound the window down after crossing and kept your seatbelt on. ☹️☹️☹️

      I’m seatbelt on always, a captain goes down with his ship 😎

    • @malcolmL995
      @malcolmL995 3 роки тому

      Maybe you need to come over to NZ and do a trip here? I would love to show you around and show you some real river crossings.
      I used to own this company until 2014 www.nzadventures.co.nz , qualified 4wd instructor to Aus/NZ workplace standards till 2010. Reason you wind the windows down is that with electric windows they can fail if wet and if the water is 1/2 way up the doors the doors won’t open. Seatbelts off as they can be difficult to unlock in a stressful situation.
      I have done about 100,000km in outback Aus with few tracks left to do. Have a Troopy Landcruiser near Geelong that I can’t get to at the moment due to the virus making things difficult. ☹️☹️☹️☹️
      Really enjoy your videos and seeing many places you go to that we have already been to.
      Keep up the good work. 😀😀😀

    • @Ronny_Dahl
      @Ronny_Dahl  3 роки тому

      You don’t know 100% but they haven’t been found this far south for hundreds of years.
      There are stories of crocs being there before European settlers landed but I can’t say if that’s real of not.
      I’d believe it but, crocs can travel far and if there were a lot less people in Australia back then it could very well have been the case.

    That Aboriginal art is probably a few decades old. Exposed to extreme heat, cold, wind and rain there is NO WAY it would survive thousands of years. As for all the "Aboriginal Paintings" in caves, chemically bonding paint doesn't last more than 20 years before it is shot, so all this ochre palm prints being 10's of thousands of years old is not true.
