thanks for the great video, building my own for a 45G, some don't even require wheels. Spoke to a guy (maybe same guy?) in FL, who makes these to order for around $600 for a 25G, and some are made without casters SO I will decide if I will add wheels or not during the construction , also going to add a lock mechanism to take strain off of wench/ cable. Getting material this weekend. Thanks again, Tom in NV
They're great if you like to build and experiment with antennas. I'm working on getting my wife to go along with me buying a surplus high-reach like a JLG lift. So far, no dice.
My experience with Glenn Martin was NOT good AT ALL, so probably not a good comparison. Those were pretty good at getting stuck on the tower. Can't even recall if they had wheels.
@@Rooster_Radio correct it had grooves and all so many hang ups. I made a 80ft crank up myself and I had to make it stronger than usual because it has to hold a colossal 10k. My advice is anyone serious and don't want to keep replacing and repairing is go with something like that and a good antenna and coax. It's going to cost so why pay more over time my opinion.
My hazer has been on my tower 8 years. The only thing the original "safety" latch was good for was getting the hazer stuck repeatedly. Easy to add one if that's what you want.

Looks like skateboard wheels. Cool device.
Very nice! Does RC make different sizes for different towers?
How much for Rohn 25? Does it come complete? Besides drilling plates anything else needed?

Or just call ALUMA TOWER,
Manufacturers of the best crank-up Aluminum Towers in the World. Mil-Spec.
@@hankhalbert6542 friend of mine has one, but it retails around $18,000. Don't know many casual operators with that type of money to spare for a tower
