Comment to boost the algorithm because more people need to see this amazing content. Thanks for socumenting your adventures! I would love to camp like this as well, but sadly the laws here don't allow it :/
@@douglasharley2440Western Europe, specifically The Netherlands. You can only "camp" on campgrounds (paid), and you cannot hunt and fish for food. Even foraging feels illegal. The nature here is very protected, but it is a shame you cannot enjoy the parks in this way.
@wilfreddv interesting...though, when I was in the Netherlands almost 20 years ago there was no wilderness that I can recall, just cities and towns and farms so I can see how they wouldn't be too keen on people wandering around foraging and whatnot. 😂
I’ve cancelled my cable TV subscription and instead subscribed to UA-cam premium. These 30+ minute videos are not only more entertaining than any syndicated cable TV show but also MUCH more informative and educational. I get better quality entertainment for a FRACTION of the price after ditching cable. Thank you SO MUCH for taking the time and effort to produce such high quality UA-cam videos!
Les stroud posts old survivor man episodes on his. UA-cam channel. Also the UA-cam channel betting on Alaska & Deadmen are really good. I’m the same exact way though. Occasional Netflix but I’m usually in my camper watching this stuff lol
Please don’t stop making these videos, it’s so underrated honesty . Best part of my day is sitting back with a snack to watch you do these survival videos💪💪💪
Crawfish fishing the way you rigged up is my favorite for small mouth. My grandson is 4 years old and he got to go catch crayfish in the creek with me this year and then we hit the river. He loved being in the creek catching crawfish 🎣. And he loves watching your show with Grandpa 💪🏻 keep up the good content 🇺🇲
I always watch the shorts to better educate myself with survival techniques. But this longer form content is so good, the editing is great, and i still always learn so much. Keep up the great work!
John I could watch your stuff all day. Great content, well shot and I learn something in every one. Please don’t quit! You are a gift to all of us who love the outdoors wherever are! All the best man.
I love this ! I think a lot of UA-camrs make videos around camping solo but what’s special with your videos is that viewers learn a lot by watching your camping experience. More like this please !
Bro I gotta be honest I wasn't expecting you to give us this masterpiece! Just some shorts and then a full 35 min but even better! You deserve it man, keep it up!
I'm diagnosed with autism and this guy does what I do while out in the wild. Kinda meander around looking at things and commenting dead-pan to myself. Representation in media 🥰
Your videos are outstanding! Thank you for making a long one, please make more! I know they are a lot of work but the skills you share are worth their weight in gold! Thanks again, I truly appreciate how informative your videos are!!
Much needed entertainment this evening! Love your videos. Cast Away is one of my favorite movies and seeing REAL LIFE living off the land is cool as hell!!!
Thank you very much for sharing your experiences. These outings are fascinating and educational as every individual develops his own unique methods of dealing with situations. Incidently, most tree nuts are initially very bitter due to the tannins. It is necessary to let the nuts go through a fermentation process which eliminates most of the tannins. Obviously, in an outdoor survival situation this method is not feasible or possible so slow roasting them after boiling is another option. This applies to black walnuts and chestnuts as well. While your two day adventure doesn't lend itself to elaborate processes, those who forage on a regular basis or camp out for extended periods can definitely benefit from the available techniques to make the food more palatable. The only reason I mention this is in the instance where water is scarce for repeated boiling.
I love these informative videos, and a realistic look at how camping 'survival style' looks. I think we tend to over prepare for complex scenarios and overlook the simpler things, so this is a good reminder. ❤️ Thanks!
I'm a 20 something year old woman from the Philippines, never went camping or done anything ourdoors-y ever, afraid of bugs, worms, you name it. But your videos are so calming to watch and I love watching them before going to bed. Now I really want to try going camping someday! 🥰
Bro I love watching this kind of videos from you speaking , making camps , living some days outdoors I know it is bot easy but pls make more this kind of trips ❤❤
you should try roasting the acorns with the maple syrup or some honey next time, just cooking them in the pan over the fire to caramelize them and give them a nice crunchy glaze
Love this channel man. You have inspired me to branch out and as it turns out, I LOVE this stuff. Just something so satisfying about being self sufficient in nature. God bless
That was a great video. I like watching survival trips like this one. And your well explained explanations on how to cook and gut. I really like watching your videos it makes me hungry everytime and long to be under the trees as you get to do.
Man I just found your channel. Awesome stuff! Simple and straight to the point. For sure subscribed! Would love a list of all the equipment you use or a video of all your camping equipment in general!
Love your adventures! Thank you for making this content. I was always outdoors as a kid, never a hunter but always on a lake or at the lake fishing. I miss the outdoors. You inspired me to get out and have some natural fun.
I loved this video, it brought together skills from the shorts and showed the purpose and use for many of those videos. Maybe you should do a skills camp for some of the subscribers! ?
Awesome,, great video ,I myself love camping ⛺️! Sometimes I love camping when it’s raining listening to that rain pelting the tent makes me wanna sleep better. Beautiful black squirrel never seen any down here in Virginia. really like the pants you have on has the extra padding where you usually wear out pants.thanks for sharing. have an awesome day.
i love watching these!! i never really had access to nature in the way you do in the past, but since i started to watch you i got more and more inspired!! i hope to take my first camping trip soon and get more into it! thank you for producing this content!
I remember hiking in the mountains we decided to camp there because it got late that experience taught me to survive in the wild... Sort of we fished and ate it we made knives out of wood and blades
I love my little tent like that !! I always just cut some sticks for post . I did cut the strap that holds the flap to the bottom and sewn a loop onto that strap . That way I can tie A string from one flap over the roof to the other flap that gives so so much more air flow ! Love your videos
Man I love watching these style videos from ya John.
Thanks for putting in the time for us I know these longer forms aren't easy!!
Thanks DJ glad to hear it. I love making the long videos but yeah definitely a ton of work, as you know.
@@WoodsboundOutdoorsWhy don't you two guys get together and make one?
@mhpjii we're planning on doing that eventually, once our schedules line up and we're able to meet up
I support this thread!! Many thanks for creators ❤

where don't they allow people to camp?...lol, sounds downright dystopian. 😮

Wasn't expecting the rain and thunder, but I was glad it showed up 👍
His voice just adds to the calm of the videos. He’s obviously enjoying himself but he’s not super hyper which is a nice change.
